I'm a 67 year old white Scottish woman living in Canada , and I feel discriminated against, I am known as the woman from away. I've lived here for 33 years in various parts of the country. I am so sorry that this young lady is having this issue.

I mean if you're going to come to another country to be safe cuz you're running from your other country you need to be respectful and thankful that thete is a place that will accept you and they need to be respectful of the laws and people in that country..instead they come in and it's a free for all take mwn women children run over them take them Kidnap them I've been bombarded I've been harassed by these individuals and I don't like it and I'm not I don't feel sorry for them anymore I used to have compassion but now it's the younger generation and they're all you know it's hard to tell who or trust any of them I could not I could never trust him just like the Asians you can't trust him you can't the Asians are all spies the Young Generation the old ones 30-40 years ago yeah they had they were running for a reason but now these young ones are are brainwashed

You know people when you go shopping you're in danger because I'm not going to name one culture cuz they're always short brown people men or women and they'll sit in their cars out in the parking lots at Ross Walmart targets Fish Daddy's Beyond The Border or Road whatever they sit everywhere and they spy on people they just sit there and watch people now we hear that they have these gangs that go around and you know follow people eventually they're going to get you and they're going to rob you they're going to whatever yeah yeah well I got surprises okay yeah but I'm telling you guys watch your back when you go to the stores they don't feel like if they think you're good catcher vulnerable to follow you home they're going to watch your routine get-to-know-you daily schedules when you go to the bank when you go to the ATM they'll follow you everywhere they follow me everywhere there you know they follow me to the store I'll be in there a few minutes and I'll sit there and watch them they all come in one-by-one yeah they've even tried to block the streets on me and a black SUV try to couldn't pass but I got out of there there they've been several attempts to kidnap me but you know what you can't kidnap a creature Hunter

I see a lot of them many many they come here they have bad attitudes they spy around on people they follow people they get their own sex trafficking rings and prostitution Rings going they do what they do when they're in their country they do it here I could understand if they were working or you know did something positive yeah they may be illegal but they got to go through the regular system you claim Asylum get a job you don't go follow people around you don't go scan real close behind them and they don't even know you're standing behind him that's what I've experienced little short brown people they'll stand right behind your butthole in a store and they won't even know they're there and then you feel something behind you and then they act like they're there standing like right under your underarms and they act like oh oh no it's okay you're okay it's okay what the f*** you know I can understand if you're from a country where your lives are in jeopardy but you come here and you pull the same s*** on us on us Americans that's what I don't like y'all need to get your country back take your country back

I’ve been saying this for 40 years during my travels in Canada. My kids mom is white and from Toronto.I definitely saw issues going back to the seventies. People at the border coming and going always made it difficult to pass through.

I lived in Edmonton alberta from 2006 to 2015 I ve honestly never felt that being black was a problem as far as jobs.

American here who spent three glorious years in Canada (Montréal) for university. I fell in love with the country and have visited all ten provinces and one territory. I desperately wanted to stay in Canada and was so emotional that I literally cried when my student visa expired and I had to return to the States. Fast forward 40 years, I've had a pretty good life here in the States and was able to retire comfortably at 55. I hesitated to watch this video because I thought it would make me feel bad about my situation, but I think it (and the comments) actually made me feel OK with how my life turned out. I now realize that no place is perfect -- not even Canada.

Hello black women living in Leduc Alberta for over 20 year's . I'm from Toronto born in Jamaica . Now look nowhere is perfect there is racism everywhere, i found more in Toronto then Alberta. In Alberta the most problems i have is with dating but work wise i don't get the racism, its opposite. I get jobs because of my skin. I haven't been called the N word in Alberta to my face anyways and in Toronto too many times to count. I personally love Alberta and will probably retire here. I treat everyone i meet with respect and I've been given the same. I really wish that everyone could just get along and stop with the colors of skin BS and just be kind to each other.

I grew up in Calgary, two hours south. I've dealt with it on many levels, sometimes blatantly obvious, most times a series of micro aggressions that make you want to explode and destroy everything when it happens. As much pain it's caused over decades it's made me stronger as well as smarter. I will also say this and I can stress this enough, because of the demographics most of my friends are white and THEY HAVE MY BACK. in almost every aspect life will throw at me, they're ride or die people, I can say this with the utmost confidence The difference for me between Canada and the states is I'm not fighting alone if and when a situation comes up, there's people I can call if needed. Canada has it's issues no question and I could easily go ballistic when it happens to me or anyone I know, but we're not as bad as the states. I believe you can be heard.

I REALLY need to make this money work for me, and not just disappear over time. I've been scrambling for somewhere to put the money, where I can make an effort to use the gains to pay bills so I can quit my job or should force early retirement. All roads have pointed to the financial market of some sort which is a good idea buh where else should I put money besides the financial market? We have a 13% RPI rate so cash is tough.

Not that many people in the developed world are shopping for an alternative country. So I imagine most Americans and most Canadians will be content with their nation of birth. But as a Canadian, I have to admit I'm a bit scared of the US. The level of violent crime down there is such that _many_ (not all) people feel they need guns for personal security. American prison rates testify to a level of desperation and alienation that is _not_ appealing to me. I don't want to live somewhere where owning a deadly weapon seems like a sensible idea! Also, as a struggling creative/entertainment person, I can't guarantee I'll be consistently earning good money – there are plenty of lean times in my biz. I don't want to be repeatedly worrying about my health coverage disappearing, whenever work dries up. I've never had that type of anxiety in Canada, and I sure appreciate that. Btw, although the Canadian health system is a long way from perfect, I've always managed to get appropriate care, according to my needs, quickly enough, at no cost to myself. And currently, I really like my GP _and_ my specialists!

As a person of Colour in a mostly white country it’s not realistic to not expect some bigoted white peoples it’s just not, their the majority so their always going to be that way. But overall I never feel unsafe here in Ontario very diverse area lots of Muslims, asians, native Americans Africans and tons of Carribeans from all over the West Indies . Look, I'm all for helping others, but this is not the way to go. I live near the border and have had to chase people out of my property. I understand that we can’t take in everyone into the country. We can’t even take care of ourselves until our government works together to help us. However I understand the reason why these people are fleeing. They’re desperate and wanting a better life, and America is always advertising it’s self as THE #1 country. If my family and livelihood was being threaten on the daily I would do the same thing as them. Even if it was a dangerous and illegal I think the troubles they’ve faced are far worse then anything I can think of.

As a child of a first generation immigrant, this is horrible and WRONG. My dad and his family fled Nicaragua in the late 80's when the socialists took over. And it was a real war zone. The government stole their land, homes, and k!lled people they knew. On the way to the airport my dad (who was a small child at the time) saw dead bodies in the street. Thankfully they made it to the USA and were able to rebuild their lives and become proud American citizens. They did it LEGALLY. It makes me so mad when I see footage like this. Lots of racist people serotype Hispanic Americans negatively because of these criminals. Why is our government doing nothing about this???? The cost of living is unbearable already and we have a major housing crisis. It is NORMAL to have a border! Why is that so hard for some people to understand???? It's a national security crisis. They’re illegal. I understand the desire to pursue a better future for you and your family. You’ve got to go through the proper channels though. You shouldn’t be able to just walk into the country and then receive support, that most Americans don’t receive. Look at the situation with our veterans. Right now, Americans are having issue finding affordable housing. Everything’s gotten so expensive. This doesn’t help the situation.

I’ve worked since I was 14, I’m 40 now & lost my job & in a difficult situation, I’ve sold all my my belongings to pay rent, swallowed my pride & applied for food stamps for the 1st time in my life & was denied while I witness migrants get free health care, food, & shelter all around me. This country has failed me. I’m on verge of suicide from debt, I thought emergency assistance was for instances like this, but it doesn’t seem so.
