Considering you only have to have a student or work visa and say you are going to apply for citizenship and have a bed and breakfast or rent rooms to buy a house in Canada. Also rather than having our housing market correct for average Canadian to purchase he wants to increase immigration to keep our housing market up his words. And those poor people being sold Canada are coming into a Country with huge unemployment.

What a shame. I’m an immigrant myself and worked hard to get my citizenship. It took me 9 years to get it. These people need to be stopped as it desecrates the hard work that a lot of immigrants invested to obtain their status. I hope they all get caught and get deported.

There are also fake refugee scams, many people from China, USA, Africa, Middle East are not real refugees, they have decent lives in their own countries, however, they can't immigrate through legal ways, either they are too old or they don't have enough work experiences or educations, they cheated and they claimed that they are refugees. Here I am, working hard to get requirements for immigration, reading pages and pages of info while feeling the pressure of my work permit expiring and these ghost clients don't even want to live here. Pffft. This is why the process is constantly changing because of scammers. Making it harder for us who want to do it legit.

The reason why many immigrants don't speak/read/write English is that many undocumented immigrants don't have scholar education and believe it or not that makes it hard for them to learn another language, that's why many try to complement with hard work their lack of education. Even some educated ones struggle to learn but it's because of many other factors.

Illegal immigrants should be prohibited strictly, no doubt. But there are also many legal Chinese immigrants, most of them are hard-working employees, Canada should welcome legal immigrants, meanwhile.

It is so funny, I was working in Canada, BC for 3 years as highly paid employee, paying taxes > 200k/year and after I decided to apply to PR it took me more than a year to get PR and plenty of strange documents were requested to be provided until I hired immigration lawyer who drafted rather tough and harsh mail to IRCC on my behalf that they are violating my immigration law. Guess what? PR was approved in 2 days. On the flip side I know plenty of immigrants from Eastern Europe, China who are bringing their families with fake documents and receiving PR super easy, once settled they get income outside Canada in their country of origin (leasing an apartment for example) and of course not declaring it here, they specifically keep income at the level so they can get welfare/various reliefs from Canada and they bragging out loud how smart they are taking advantage of the system. That's not fair - there are a lot of skilled people around the world who can bring real value to Canada and behave in a good faith. If you go to Richmond, no one can speak English there, what kind of cultural integration is it? Lefts really like these guys, easy votes, eh?

I pity those listening to people like this for immigration issues. When you guys come here you start to blog nonsense. And claiming immigration we are currently working on how to get you all arrested for making fake video in bluff.

Canada is one of the worst places to immigrate to. I’m Canadian. I know what it’s like to live here. Plus I’m indigenous. So I’ve face racism and prejudice. Many think my people gets free handouts. From my experience that’s far from the truth. I’ve left my community for a better education. I was completely alone without parents and my siblings, living with an aunt that used me for another pay check. I couldn’t go to college because I couldn’t afford it, even tho I got accepted into three colleges. Now I’m working a part-time job that forces me to stand on my feet all day. Not many job opportunities are out here unless you’ve gone to college or obtain training. plus the rate for rent is horrendous.

To me, it looks like Vice is really trying to pull the emotional card to get people to sympathize with this man because he really is in a rough situation. But, he is in a situation of his own making. It sounds like he had not done any prior research about Canada before deciding to claim refugess status. Yes, Trudeau was not giving the full truth when he made those public announcements to the media. Yes, people (educated or not) can be swayed by words of leaders they respect. But, to think you can just enter another country and claim refugee status without understanding what that actually entails is very naive. Canada has very transparent laws that are easily accessable in a multitude of different languages. The provinces also have legal assistance for those who can not afford lawyers. So, the fact that this man was able to spent $15,000 when he is being portrayed as a low income earner makes me question his income, or if he was even aware that he could apply for legal assistance. And since he has a lawyer who has been working his case, I would like to assume that the lawyer would have said something about assistance.\n\nI really want to be sympathetic for this man and his family, because security uncertainty makes life extra hard. But, as I have had to live in more than one country due to the Canadian immigration system refusing my husband due to a very old DUI (which has set our life on a completely different plan than anticipated), I have a very hard time being sympathetic when I feel as though they did not reach out to educated themselves on the laws of another country. I am a Canadian who currently can't live in Canada with my husband of 3 years and I still don't hate my country. I respect the hell out of it (this is not to get into our historic treatment of BIPOC, which deserves it's own seperate time and is a bloody stain on our land's history.)

Okay. A lot of people here have no clue how the immigration system works both in the US and in Canada. “He should just have come here legally”. Well, most of the time a legal path to emigrating to the US/Canada just does not exist, and its getting more and more impossible to be granted asylum. In the US you can’t just apply for a work visa, you can’t just apply for a green card. You got to be eligible to apply for it. For a work visa you need a job offer first, you need proof of income and most of the time the employer will have to prove they couldn’t find an American to take the position. To get a green card you either have to get married to an American, invest at least $500,000 or try applying for asylum (which is almost impossible to get nowadays). ALSO to apply for asylum you need to be either inside the US or at a US port of entry. Try to be less “patriotic” and more empathetic. People flee their countries because of war, violence, cartels, gangs, terrorism, etc. They are desperate and want to protect their families and have a better life. If you were in their shoes and staying in your home country put your family in great harm you would have done the same thing. People need to stop judging, stop being selfish and start leading with empathy.

Canada indeed has systemic racism for sure. It's not same type of country has origin linear ethnicity such as Korea or Japan. It was built on first nation land in better way than USA. If Canada the county needs immigrants to keep the system and economy works, they start sharing major sectors with proper communities that absolutely respect Canada system their daily life rely on. It takes time, but over 100 years of immigrant culture now should take step properly.

Most of you guys are something: Canada LIVES of immigrant work force. All of You are just that, immigrants, from an immigrant family!! And yet you are so full of hate. In the country of This size there should be 10 times as many people living. This happens all around the world, in the USA the Cubans are well known within Hispanic community that they (Cubans) once they get the LPR (Green Card) they leave the US and go back to Cuba for more time the immigration law allows to be out of the country as a LPR (six months) meanwhile they claim SSA without have a real presence in the country, without work record, then relatives get the welfare benefits (money) and send it to Cuba this way this well educated citizens pay their expenses without working also happens with South Americans.\nThis is a real problem that it looks like the government do nothing to fix it.

Anti-Islamic sentiment should be celebrated. It is Islamophillia that should be the cause for concern. Muslim immigration is a cause for concern. ❤️ I’m American and I have so many friends who are immigrants / refugees and they are genuinely some of the most educated, hardest working, and most lovely human beings I have been blessed to know. If someone is just trying to make a better life for themselves / their family and they are working or getting education, paying taxes, and abiding by laws, they are more than welcome in my country!\n\nWe all share the same tiny speck of dust in a ginormous universe. Most of these Ninja dressed folks are the extremist end of Muslims.\n\n\nThe average Muslim immigrant (Atleast from Indian Subcontinent) works hard, goes through all the loops of legal immigration and even works to put in effort to adjusting to Canadian Culture. From my (Personal Perspective) all legal immigrants should make 100% effort to learning the countries culture they immigrate to its the least we can give in return as immigrants and also work towards contributing towards Canada's economy instead of leeching it. There are certain crazy extremes but the average Muslim works towards his / her bread & butter to live another day.

There are immigrants that make more per month than my grandfather who worked his entire life in this country and lives in a retirement home.

I would suggest countries accepting immigrants especially Western Nations should introduce a bill that body display of faith should be at left home and should be carried within you. No need to display and promote in Public or work place.

God this documentary is so flawed. The symphony? Really? You are comparing the 50s from today? There were much less immigrants in Canada back then. There were less immigrants and ppl of color that played instruments. And those that did, less of them actually tried out for a symphony. And then the blind resume test totally proved no bias. So what this propaganda video is saying is refugees and immigrants get the same as Canadian citizens. Enough said. We all know under this trudua's liberal government whole immigration system run on fake documents and scams:(.it was happening before 2014 secretly and now it is happening openly by Chinese and Indian immigrants and it is quiet visible in cities like Vancouver and Toronto. All of the businesses provide fake job letters to get them work permits and get a permanent residents.hopefully government become a bit strict on immigration and stop all of this mess.

The history of early Christianity is the history of the suppression of true Christians. Their victory was realized only with the advent of Islam.The Unitarian Christians became the first British Muslims.

lol..People like us have to first study in our home countries till a graduation then have to study in canada by spending 30-40thousand CAD,then clear language exams,get some year of Canadian work experience then Immigration officer can decide if we are eligible for canadian PR.

No one has the right to judge immigrates. A lot of them leaving the us have given the us there everything they came to the us to work and help contribute to the country . They payed taxes like everyone else . The us has a history making people wait many years before they are granted their green cards many people wait then are just deported I feel compassion for them . This man is not coming here to take he has a job he’s contributing to the economy he has rights.

To keep citizens a priority over the influx of immigrants and refugees Denmark had cut welfare benefits to illegal immigrants and refugees and many began leaving to more profitable countries (in benefits). Why has our country not put something like that in place? It definitely would sort out those who came for the 'freebies'.  ~ Denmark's ‘integration benefit'  measure was a significantly lower benefit level being offered to people who have resided in Denmark for less than seven of the past eight years. Foreigners will also receive a financial incentive to learn the language. These were 'integration benefits'. Citizens who have lived outside of the EU (or country?) for seven of the past eight years were also subjected to the new rules. The purpose, to make Denmark a less attractive destination while making it more attractive to work and contribute to Danish society.  It reduced the flow in to a more manageable number.

Trudeau only cares for immigrants and refugeed because he wants their votes. These, immigrants come to Canada, have at least 4 kids and counting. Canada took in 40,000 walk across the border illegal migrants last year, this year the word is out we are expecting at least 50,000, don't know where there going to stay our hotels are full, don't know where they are going to work the job market is full, Quebec does not want any more and thats not counting the legal immigrants coming into the country.
