I moved to Canada in 2009 and just couple months ago I was finally able to find a family doctor. I am waiting for a knee surgery for the past 8 months and a friend of a friend who was waiting for the same kind of surgery for the past 5 years decided to go to US and pay for his surgery because he was struggling with his life quality.

It used to be that Canada was a stop along the way that provided an environment more advantageous to the newcomer before he proceeded on his way to America.

Acceptance of international work experience and qualifications has been an issue since I arrived here in 2002. It has all been false promises and a smoke screen by the government and these politicians in all these years.
