I'm Canadian and unfortunately everything in this video is accurately portrayed. The province in which I reside doesn't have it as bad as the ones mentionned in this video, and I can confirm that housing is still somewhat very affordable in a lot of areas if you don't mind a long-ish commute to the city when you have business there.\n\nStaying in a more rural area is fortunately a very valid option for tons of people as a lot of employers adopted telework permanently following the pandemic, but yeah essentially if you wanna live in an urban centre, good luck!

I think most Asians are leaving Canada. I'm Asian and I'm about to leave after 16 years here, my classmates back in college left already with their parents... My parents left too. I just have to sell my condo and I'll be gone. Canada is just too expensive, the pay is SHT, and it's too cold, it doesn't make sense to live here, like I have lived in Southeast Asia and I think it's much better especially if you start a business. Also China is growing, it's both a great market and a source of goods, ASEAN is rapidly growing especially in the tech sector, South Korea is dynamic as ever, and Japan is begging for immigrants now and they have preference for Asians like how Canada has preference for members of the Commonwealth.

We have about 250,000-300,000 homeless unvetted folks from all around the world sneaking through the U.S. southern border each month. All the while, we are facing a dire housing shortage, and an explosion of homelessness and lawlessness is hitting every major U.S. city. It's about to get very crowded and even more violent here. Come for the opportunities legally, but always watch your back and be prepared to defend yourself, your home, and your family. A peaceful, quiet cold life in Canada may not be that bad in comparison. Basically, Canada decided to wear shoes way bigger than its size. Accommodating so many immigrants without any robust planning and management was a gamble that backfired the country. While i understand a country with a weak demography requires young population to contribute ti fuel its economic engine, lack of job creation and superficially overpriced real estate are the ticking time bombs waiting to go off and go beyond control soon. \nOne thing that continues to amaze me is the tolerance and acceptance of Canadians towards failed policies of its government. The protest against vaccination gained traction, but no real voice against a problem stressing every Canadian on daily basis? \nCabada must stop comparing itself to the US that has a very well planned immigration system seeking the most talented professionals in their respective fields. worst problem with housing is greedy landlords jacking up the rents due to covid and having no one to regulate it...people are trying to charge $1000/mth to park your van in their driveway and $1500/mth for a small bedroom with no windows...it's ridiculous that the government doesn't regulate rent. The cost of necessities like food and shelter and medicine should not be based on peoples greed but on the cost of producing them

No kidding. It doesn't make sense to let more immigrants and foreign students into the country and have no plsce for them to live . It drives up rental prices because of supply and demand which is the reason rents go up and up. Time to stop immigration until the supply problems gets better which could be quite some time. When the supply is not keeping up the the demand it becomes a free for all and the rich greedy landloards can ask anything they want . Actually, the fact that there are so many agencies that supposedly help homeless people doesn't mean that help can be accessed so easily. In fact, there is an extreme shortage of housing in Canada and all shelters are full, mentally ill and homeless folks can not be placed in regular shelters, the right approach would be rehabilitation centers. Unfortunately, rehabilitation centers are for profit. \nSo it's hard to say what exactly they are spending those billions on.
