So how racist is the country your ancestors came from? How many White people are in charge over there?

I moved to Canada as a child with my parents 41 years ago. It isn't just inflation and cost of living that is the problem. It's the dramatically increasing racism and discrimination, even against people who have been living in this country longer than the racists discriminating against them. Seriously? This is not the Canada that I came to as a child, grew up in, or have lived and worked in for many decades. I made the mistake of working around the world for a short time and picking up an accent that wasn't even mine originally. I had a Canadian accent before finishing elementary school. To come back to be asked to go home or 'we don't want your sort here' is not just simple racism, but hatred that makes me regret ever having agreed to taking on Canadian citizenship. My kids and grandchildren have Canadian accents and were Canadians from birth. But should they leave and return to the same crap??? What disgusts me more is that the PM dares to include immigrants with refugees, under the banner that 30% of the population are immigrants. Under the law, refugees are temporary migrants and usually nothing more. To bundle immigrants who came to Canada through legal means of applications, brought hundreds of millions dollars into Canada with them of their own hard-earned money from their own countries, to have it taxed out of them, and their families deliberately put into poverty so Canada can fulfil its 19th century-PM Macdonald immigration policy of, and I quote from a Canadian federal government website, quoting PM Macdonald directly, about breeding out the Indigeneous people, is beyond sick! The refugees get a free ride at the expense of hard-working Canadians, 90% of whom came from immigrant stock! What happens when Trudeau says these deceitful lies about legal immigrants is that the racism and discrimination increases dramatically. I have been left in agony in hospital due to evil racist Canadians who thought that my accent meant that I had just flown in yesterday and what right did I have to be there? Police refused to charge a neighbor whose son was threatening the life of my grandchild because the neighbor works for the CRA! Other people have the same complaints. Democracy? What democracy, oh, and please spare us Mr. Trudeau the claim to be a constitutional monarchy, when most don't want the monarchy as a head of state for Canada! I have been honored to have known, still know, and will know in the future, many good, hard-working, caring and decent Canadians, but Mr. Trudeau, can you explain to me, how many of those were actually of immigrant stock and how many have forgotten where their families came from? Canada used to be a good country, but when a person has to keep explaining where they got their job experience from and if they have any Canadian experience for every time that they look for a job in their lifetime in Canada, something is very wrong with Canada. Most jobs in Canada are blue collar and very few are white collar, yet Canada still continues to deceive the world into believing otherwise. Canada is a great vast and beautiful land, but only a small percentage of it has any infrastructure, roads, or homes sufficient to house what is a decreasing fraction of society. Refugees take preference over immigrants and citizens alike. The lie about the homeless is getting bigger. Most homeless Canadians today are veterans, elderly, disabled, mentally ill, poor, and professionals and trades people, yet Canada brings in countless professionals, claiming that their education and experience will get them into the professions that they are coming from. It's all a scam! Canadian education is not the best and yet people with better educations and job experience are being forced to spend all their money to go back to university or college to get jobs that they rarely will be hired for. Canada is not short of doctors, just short of professionals who hire professionals without using discrimination, hatred and racism for their HR kit! Many taxi drivers are doctors, engineers, and so on. So, please stop lying to the world and tell the truth. And no doubt this entry will be taken down because it offends a Canadian who doesn't want the world to know the truth.

This country has never been good lived here for 38 years in small towns and the small towns are exsesivly criminal cult like and act like independent countries seperate from Canada I have had many family members die from lack of health care and I myself spent 6 years being sick with no diagnosis and malked and patronized the entire time took 5 years to find out I had a leasion in my stomach and almost 7 to find out I had a hiadious hurnea I was a happy home owner and was forced out of my house by fraud which I have proof of so one of the cool kids could have a house police in this country and you can just google the amount of times people have reported to police and nothing was done the biggest criminal organization is the police and just like they did to the Mofia made Reco laws they need to bring out new laws for charging corrupt criminal lazy incompatant police because there are millions of them out court systems are a joke I tried a civil prosecution against people who have committed crimes against me and was denied to go infront of a judge because I was part native and had proof of white crime I'm a 20 licensed mechanic and have to live in my car because I can't afford rent or a house have a 100 grand invested in tools and a tool box and have the choice to starve to death or live in my car and eat I hate living and working in this country as Canada has no work place standards and the labour board is corrupt and takes bribes instead of charging business owners example east way blew up killing six people in Ottawa nation's capital I had friends who worked for that companies and reported it it has hundreds of complaints to the labour board and nothing was done and six people died I have worked for two employers who have had death in the work place and almost died three times in the work place with proof one time I was struck in the head by a sledge hammer almost killing me another reason I hate working in this country is the monopoly it is employers pay and do the bare minimum example I produce 40 to 60 thousand dollars of work every two weeks out of Wich 20 to 30 thousand is profit for the owner I make not even two percent of that profit and all services in Canada are fake useless and a run by under educated lazy incompatant people go canada

No, because, what this really is, is a disgusting ploy by the NDP, Olivia Chow, Gord Perks, Andrea Horwath, Jagmeet Singh and many other groups, nonprofits and TCHC, ONPH, TDSB, TTC, who used the whole situation to force more funding and shelters and housing where their union members work; people really have no idea how bad these ghettos of TCHC/ONPH/NDP are; just look up Sunshine List and count the number of public and nonprofit agencies are on it; Kwame Addo, Susan Opler, John Kraljevic, Barry Thomas. Canada is no longer Canada. Canadiens are almost a minority in there own country. We have very large cities that we are a minority in. There is so much hate towards white people. FUK TRUDEAU. there is a major housing crisis because we have to many immigrants in a short period of time. I'm American and I have met many (hostile) Canadians over the past 20 years who do not hide their anti-American points of view. One thing many Canadians seem to think is that they are smarter than Americans and cite PISA scores as evidence. What most Canadians do not seem to understand, however, is that more than 50% of their HQP (Highly Qualified Personnel) which includes their engineers, scientists, and doctors, are from East Asia. These people are their #1 import, and with them they bring higher IQs and a culture centered around education. As for the US, unskilled/uneducated migrants from the Middle East, Africa and Latin America are our #1 import. All in all, White suburban Canadians and White suburban Americans are identical in terms of academia. And no Canadians, you are not 'bilingual' in that everyone speaks French in addition to English. Your government declares Canada bilingual because it names both English and French the official/national languages of Canada. A vast majority of Canadians, however, do not speak French fluently and the number of Canadians who do speak it is in decline. Simply Google it. It's all there.

A South African who lived there a few years. Nothing felt better than getting on the plane to leave, and knowing I will never have to return. Even South Africa with the crime and load shedding is by far better. In many ways a man is more free here even if i have to live behind security systems. I can speak my mind without fear of some PC police and censorship, which is far worse prison. My standard of living is also far better here. I can ride my bikes as I please where in Canada I can only ride a few months and would lose my license in a month due to BS fines. And the people here are much more open and truly hospitable, not some fake politeness. I even missed the blacks here, who at least i can joke and chat with far easier than with canadians. I found I have more in common with black africans than with white canadians who look like me and speak the same language. We may have the same skin colour but are totally different in culture. It made me realise I am more african than western, proud of it, and I would prefer to live and die with the african sun on my face with wide open space, than in some dark, cold, gloomy place living in cramped quarters in some libtard paradise constrained by so many laws. Of course black south africans will not like to hear that whitey has no plans to leave, but this is my home as much as theirs, I contribute to making the country somehow still function, and my kids are also more interested in making the nation run than running off to Australia, or even worse, Canada.\n\nI am so glad I didn't meet a woman there and get stuck. You forgot to mention Trudeau and his Liberals as being the most repugnant part of our Nation. As for racism, we didn't ask to lose our National identity with his immigration policies. How many other countries have to deal with Whites or Blacks moving, and then being 1/4 of your population... As an older person who migrated decades ago after protesting in my old country, I encourage young people below 45 to FIGHT for your countries. Fight bad goverments. 7 billion people on the planet cannot move to the few western countries that seem to work and appear attractive on the surface, it’s not possible. The taxpayers in those countries are feeling it. Look at the folks sleeping on the floor in NY! The homeless citizens don’t have places to sleep but politicians are lodging new border crossing migrants in hotels at taxpayers expense, creating resentment! \n\nFight those oppressing you in your countries. A doctor has a target of about 15 to 20 patients to see per day and rushes you out of his office because the corporation he works for only cares about money and KPIs! You really aren’t allowed to interact with patients and provide personalized service. A pharmacist has to fill anything between 200 to 350 prescriptions, give a certain number of immunizations and see a certain No of patients per day. There is no time for niceties! A corporate professional May work remotely but has to deliver on so many projects he is up till 10pm and only gets up to eat. We have beautiful homes, drive nice cars etc but MUST work like the clock in an assembly line fashion! Most of us pay so much of our income as taxes we end up with less than 70% as paychecks! Things aren’t always what they seem!

In my town in Ontario, in 10 years I went from seeing basically only white people, to now sometimes i am a minority in public because of how many Indian and Philipino people that have moved here. Im glad they moved here and chose my town to call home to better their famlies lives. Good people

A second generation immigrant is not considered an immigrant. These countries just began allowing mass immigration. Americans have been allowing mass immigration all of our history. Including second generation immigrants, you have an immigrant population closer to 35% of the US population, true or false? And more than half of them have the right to vote, to fundamentally alter our nation. \nThere's also no way Americans believe that more than half of the country are immigrants. Almost all immigrants in the US live in a few specific regions. Most Americans see very few immigrants throughout the year. Perhaps, it was offset by the number of Americans surveyed who do live in those specific regions. Surveys tend to prioritize diversity and weigh the opinions of particular groups differently. If they tended to call urban area codes more often, and weighed the votes in proportion to size of the population that each group makes up, then the people saying 50% in say New York or Washington state, which represent many different groups will offset the people saying 5% in Kansas, which are all getting grouped into the older, Whiter cohorts. Most Americans under 18 are non-White. \nOnly 15% of Americans under 18 should be non-White, if America were an ethnically stable nation. Thus, 38% of Americans are recent (post 1970s) immigrants.

Hi Tyler. I think that when you say you've lived mainly in small towns and that most people are pleasant may stem from the fact that you're a white male. Many if not most small towns in America suffer from a lack of cultural diversity. It's easy for them to be kind and pleasant when they hardly ever get confronted by anyone outside their cultural norms. How accepting would they be if a bunch of families from other cultures would start moving into their little piece of paradise? Would they remain as pleasant and friendly? That's where the real test would be. Mind you, I'm not sure it would be so different here in Canada if you look at more remote villages.

I'm afraid that with the gun craze down there, I would not consider it. Then, there is the lousy healthcare... Forget parents, even many immigrants are unhappy in Canada. Every time I run into an Indian who has studied or lived in US he is frustrated. 2 people in my team received their Canadian citizenship and have started trying for positions in US. 3 white Canadians in our company moved to US in last 2 year itself.\nCanada is not a great country from parents. It's cold, white and depressing throughout. Many parents can stay for relatively longer in California or Texas where there is vibrant community and weather is very much like India. I lived for 10 years of life in snow before moving to Canada - Massachusetts, North Carolina and Virginia. I just 2 winters, I feel depressed in Canada as it's white for 4 to 5 months.

Racism happens to a lot of races here in Canada and around the world and I think will always be the case. My mom came from the Philippines and worked two jobs back to back for 17 years and was bullied so badly by East Indians because they ran her work place but she had to stay strong and deal with that among other things while growing up but is still grateful to Canada until this day. My ex girlfriend of many years was Congolese but grew up in Kenya and yes I felt racism on her part when we were together and it was frustrating and sad but again it came from all races not just white people. She is still grateful for Canada and always stayed strong and didn’t let these idiotic attitudes tear her down. Hopefully things will change in the world but the state it is in right now doesn’t seem to be the case.

I am white and I faced a ton of racism growing up from the indigenous community in my home town. Did I call them all racists? No, what I, and many other Canadians did and still do is make the effort to learn about these other cultures rather than playing the victim and then slandering the good, hard working, tolerant people of Canada. If she has so many problems with racism in Canada, well as our lovely cousins to the south say, leave. After reading more of these comments I now realize my words would fall on deaf ears, so many victims here. I represent a large group of people who do not judge any by the color of their skin, but rather by the content of their character. I grew up in Calgary, two hours south. I've dealt with it on many levels, sometimes blatantly obvious, most times a series of micro aggressions that make you want to explode and destroy everything when it happens. As much pain it's caused over decades it's made me stronger as well as smarter. I will also say this and I can stress this enough, because of the demographics most of my friends are white and THEY HAVE MY BACK. in almost every aspect life will throw at me, they're ride or die people, I can say this with the utmost confidence The difference for me between Canada and the states is I'm not fighting alone if and when a situation comes up, there's people I can call if needed. Canada has it's issues no question and I could easily go ballistic when it happens to me or anyone I know, but we're not as bad as the states. I believe you can be heard.

Medicare sucks! Even as a privileged white person having just moved cities not province and after 3 years and 2 cancers I still don't have access to a family doctor. Forget about any tests or diagnoses because you are told you need to have a family doctor to have access. People die of curable diseases here more than in many other developed countries.
