There are enough Indians all over Europe, Americas and Australia. Many of them specially in the USA and Canada are illegal in high numbers. In Canada and USA, Indians have ruined their own reputation by getting involved into fraud activities, breaking laws of the host countries by bringing people from India and making them work illegally. So, naturally, the rejection rates are much higher for tourist visa and not for business visas as such. The solution is India should build infrastructure inside the country so that people don't need to rush abroad for a better life. It's more profitable for foreign countries to reject visa because people will try again, that just means easy money. If not then they at lest pay for the functioning of the Visa offices in India. So they don't have to pay fees to the visa interviewers, etc. It could also mean that rejecting visas is an incentive to the interviewers, hence they will make strict check before approving any visa because behind every approval they are losing money.

Only the Indian news media and govt says India is rising in power, rest of the world still consider India a third world country. Another thing is when I was in school I had a subject called civic sense, where we were taught about how to behave in public, don't know if that is taught still, if that is not there make it a compulsory subject teach kids from childhood how to behave in public.

Improve trade and cut H4 visas for US as i have no idea on other countries. H4 visa housewives will really depressed in a country like US. because of depression crime rate will be more.? sometimes you wont have any indian friends near by even it has more indian immigrants. Give jobs to indians who are living there for generations. They must have contributed tons of inputs larger foreign trade income etc... Ask their inputs and India should make policies supportive or non supportive to indians. Dont send indians. They will suffer. Please give help line to come back home . lot of movies you see in india shows immigrant suffering. those are all true. dont go unless you are rich and have billions of dollars. The problem is fear that Indians will travel to the West and not go back. Not just Indians, but Africans, South Americans and many Asian countries do the same. I've lived in the US for 55 years. There was an Indian music troop that came to the US to perform, maybe 20 people, including singers, musicians, comedians etc. After their tour in the US, half of them did not return to India. They figured they can make a better living in the US and live here as an illegal immigrant. This is too common. The next time when a troop of musicians want a US visa, chances are the immigration office will think twice about approving a visa. I can travel anywhere with a US passport because people know that Americans will return back to the US.

what matters is per capita income and gdp per capita. Boasting of being 5th largest economy by comparing GDP of 1445 million population with countries of 70 million is nonsense. Its shows how pathetic Indias skill and productivity is. IT services have done very well but its such small proportion of the population (5 million employed in IT out 1445 million, even here only top 10% maybe making good money )
