I can see services and consumer products going up and of course you will have another liar in the WH press secretary room blaming the Biden administration for it. Same old story. Those people will be in limbo, meanwhile, we the taxpayers will paying for housing, feeding, clothing, them and their health care. \n\nOh, we haven't talked about climate change.... migration to the northern wealthier countries won't stop due to climate change. It won't stop here or in Europe. But, no many people are talking about it or preparing for it. \n\nNow the Reps have control of the executive branch, the congress (both chambers), and the Supreme Court is in his pocket. So, there will be no one to blame but themselves if they don't fix what they say they will fix: Immigration, ACA, the Economy, and more.

I have a house behind me that was defunct and the owner purchased it about 4 years prior with an intent of demolishing it and building a new home. It is only now - 4 years later - that they are finally allowed to build, since the city and other people around stopped them through permitting applications countless times. The only thing I had to say about it was that if the construction causes direct damage to my property - then pay for it; if not, then I should have no say in this at all.

That means she came at a time when immigration was much easier and wanted, to increase gdp and to do the jobs normal Americans didn’t want to. But republicans now use the immigration card because it’s literally their only option, why do you think Trump stopped the bill. He would be losing so much support. As FRENCH, I think it is more an issue with policies set by both governments!!! You know you bring students IN and why don’t you build houses and encourage construction???? In France, many students (mainly Africa, and French departments like Guadeloupe, Tahiti or Martinique) come to study there (for free and we are proud of it!!!) BUT - unlike Canada - we do NOT have the same issues as Canada (our healthcare is NOT under pressure and our housing prices haven’t really increased that much as compared to Canada for example!!!) to me, the students are NOT to blame!!! It is the fault of the deciders (at different level) who have FAILED to set the right policies!!!! The schools are also to blame as some (not all) are so obsessed with making profits out of the higher international fees, which by way, subsidize Canadian students!!! So in Canada (not in France or Germany), the money that allows schools to function come from international students who BRING LOTS OF MONEY for the Canadian economy!!!! in France, it is different as the universities are FREE and are fully subsidized by the French government… but yes;) you have to speak French fluently to attend them!!! \nSo dear Canadians, do not blame foreign students thanks to whom your universities thrive and remain existant!!! I know I shouldn't say this but every time I go to Calgary NE Costco, I feel like I was in another country. Many of them would randomly stop in a middle of moving traffic or cut into my path regardless of my existence... I feel I need to constantly dodge in order to avoid collisions. I am an immigrant too but I always observe my surroundings and try not to cause others to slow down because of me. If I need to take a break or stop, I park my cart in a non-busy spot... these should be common sense which is what the people are severely lacking in my opinion.

I'll add some context to our government. Prime minister harper who was an economics major I believe started saying no to the aboriginal peoples stopped catering to them. During the election it was a collective that all natives would vote ndp and the liberals were second last only behind the green party. Getting closer to the election Trudeau promised if elected to legalize marijuana and fund more efforts towards missing indigenous women ( that's a whole other story in itself). Trudeau won a majority government. They won't admit it but alot of blue collar people voted for Trudeau because of the legalization of weed. Fast forward immigration grew and new immigrants were strategically placed in certain cities and areas to vote for the liberals. The next election Trudeau lost the popular vote but won based on Canada's version of the electoral college. This time around I don't think he can win I've heard very very few people in this country say they want him so in a year things may get better or the damage is done.

International students have no rights to protest other than study, which is why they come in the first place. Canada or US didn’t go to india and say please come. I think Canada should stop taking students through consultants in India. It is in India that people are selling false info and the students are blaming Canadian government. All indian students are getting married and bringing their spouse and parents to Canada. How it's possible? Also getting pregnant so when the baby is born they can be a Canadian citizen. When they come as a student How come they get the security job in Canada? When they come as a student they have to study and go back to their country. Because they say when they apply for student visa they show that they have money. So use the money and study & go back. Canadian immigration have to stop giving them the work permit.
