You've explained it very well. For people like us who have gone through both systems, details about it are like second nature to us, like breathing. But I really want to correct that express entry in Canada is very varied and you don't necessarily need to have a job offer. A combination of your degrees, or the years of work experience you already have could likely already be enough to be approved. It's a very transparent point-based system that you can calculate on your own. Another thing to mention you forgot to mention is Green Card is still not citizenship. You need to have a green card for 5 more years before you can apply for US citizenship as opposed to only a few years in Canada. I moved from a very high paying job in the US (after studying in a US university) for exactly this reason to Canada. I took a large pay cut (still 6 figures), but I was express entry approved in 1.5 years. A year has passed since, and I'm eligible for citizenship in less than 6 months. \n\nIt is a game-changing system for Canada and it will have massive benefits down the line as skilled talent from the US drains to Canada. It will not be apparent yet, but it will become apparent in the near future. I plan to start many businesses and employ people. Canada took me in when the US did not, and so I will definitely start businesses in Canada instead and create employment here. A lot of skilled talent is reasoning along the same lines and a massive shift in the headwinds is coming.\n\nPS - The one thing Canada is not doing well, is housing. The system is set up correctly, but not enough housing is being built, cities expanded, or any coordination done to make sure people are settling in a more distributed manner. This needs to be fixed ASAP. The prices are becoming outrageous rivalling the US. Canada has always been so sparse, it's not prepared for this. It needs housing construction on war footing. I don't see the current government taking it seriously.

i find it outrageous how much places like google pay for software engineers. engineers in other field make much much less and even software engineers working for small companies make much less.

Yep, after 10 years of living in Canada I’m moving back home because of these exact reasons. It’s outrageous the cost of living here. You just live to work with no hope of owning a home. Absolute joke.

Tabernacle is for the “Tabernacle” part if the alter in the Catholic Church and as the Catholic Church was hugely politically powerful historically the curse words which are most outrageous are religion related such as Tabernacke said with as snarl… the actual body of Jesus as believed by a Catholics is stored there inside a chalice in the form of mass consecrated bread discs … also “Colice” the word for chalice where the bread discs are stored in a golden goblet as bread discs and the priest turn them into the actual bid up of Christ… “este” or host is the term for the little bread discs that are so the actual body of Christ… all the lrcious is actually believed by practicing a Catholics… I am just sharing… No offence intended ….

The cost of living in the world is outrageous as it is!!! I couldn’t imagine having to budget in a bulletproof, backpack and bulletproof vest as school supplies on top of everything else because idk about y’all but I wouldn’t buy them at Walmart or Kmart hahahah! And fyi Canada isn’t as accepting as the propaganda makes it seem! The idea people have is what I like to call a maple washed idea that the media puts out there

I don't think I would move to the U.S. for many reasons. Healthcare is great in Canada. I don't think I'd be able to afford insurance in the U.S. , I also would be afraid of guns, the coastlines will rise by the 2030s, so my dreams of California and New York are out as well, never mind the outrageous cost of living there and being an arts person, I wouldn't want to be there now with the strike. I don't think I'd be affected as a stand-up comedian, but the opportunities would be way less with the industry shut down.

Canada is a strong democratic country? That's a lie. Trudeau's Canada has gone from healthy and democratic to an outrageous authoritarian country! The politicians should have had Trudeau arrested for TREASON. They have done nothing!

We need stronger borders. This is an outrage and the lack of respect these illegals have for the citizens is angering. In any other country if an American tribes that we would instantly get slapped spat on attacked ignored or worse. These people just think because it's America that they have every right. There is such a thing called as due process and this is outrageous.

They have to stop this, we Americans can't work, can barely feed our families anymore. Our homeless Veteran # and the need for essentials is outrageous but they think they can come here..

Holy...Mother of God! At this rate, we either have to terraform the Mid-Western desert into a liveable environment or face the problem of hospitable living space shortage. If we also ignore that shortage, then several decades later, the USA, being the tendency to act humanitarian, policies will require architecting new land expansion outwards to the sea, prior historic example is Hong Kong being a small crowded island. That solution or build vertical. Going underground or expanding upwards on sky scrapers multi-story apartments. Or to the Moon or Mars.\n\nWhy does the physical composition of these Central Americans and South-Americans people drive their sex-drive outrageously out of control? Is the cause the high protein meat diet? Or their inherently healthy tropical nature born of the sun's vitalizing energy? Whichever the cause, America will sooner or later face the biggest population crisis eventually in the future. \nThere are two choices of action at the moment. Either control this type of uncontrollable surge or plan huge architectural civil projects in order to meet the future need of population boom accompanionship. Dear God almightly, help us all. I presently also have a mouse problem and cockroach problem at my residence! Gasp! Sigh...?\nI wish I have an alien ship capeable of interstellar travel, so I can get the FUCK off this planet.

I live in Ontario and everything is expensive and Toronto is really boring. We have lots of transit projects but they are all delayed. We have too much politics in Canada. Quebec is too frenchy, our National Train Service VIA Rail is outrageously expensive

This is why nobody in America can afford to live anymore. We are forced to pay outrageous prices, pay higher taxes just so we can take care of all these lazy people that want to breed like rabbits on our government’s dime
2023-05-17 0
Where the bullets and outrage as you saw on Jan6. I guess we can kill Americans - Women - get upset about storming our capital but not a word from you so call Americans.

There are many reasons and many who problems. You can’t just narrow this down to 1 of anything. One problem is for decades children were brought up to believe that when they turn 18 or 21 or when they get a full time job or graduate college it’s time to leave the nest . Why? So you can live the life of a bachelor or bachelorett? Party all night or get drunk and do most things you wouldn’t want your parents to know about. Pay outrageous rental fees for some place you’ll never own. Go into debt and in many cases spend years paying off student loans. Yeah, sounds like a good time. The habit should be if parents have room, stay home, save your money and allow your parents to help build that generational wealth. Pay a small rent to help out a little if you want to and your parents accept it. Some people , if they can marry and stay with their family, at least for a few years. This builds a stronger bond with parents and grandparents. The way the last 40 or 50 years has gone has destroyed family and their are many reasons why. Some of the European traditions are smart and we should never have turned away from them

Force them back!!! Outrageous behavior and expectations!!!
2023-05-07 0
They come here illegally and take our jobs, don’t pay taxes, commit crimes, and act like we owe them something. This is outrageous. They need to bring out the rubber bullets on these lunatics
2023-04-14 0
They know very little about what is going on in America. As American, we can't afford to live here. Rent is outrageous, food prices are off the roof, gas prices, life, car, rental insurance is so expensive. Their governments need to provide better living conditions in theirs own countries, so this type of eruption won't happen constantly??
2023-04-06 0
This is outrageous, get back to your own country, there's already enough damn people in America already,\nNeed that wall finished with huge gates at the entrance,\nJust wonder how many rapist Mexican men there are in that lot
2023-04-04 0

I am so sorry to all my fellow readers.....there's no way to stop this without violence from both sides ... this is a war against the USA And I believe that this outrageous action should be answered with bullets.

Outrageous invasion into this country. No other country allows this! Enough wimpiness by my fellow Dems!
2023-04-03 0
This is just outrageous! We cannot take care of all these people! Come here legally and fund your own way and earn your own money or do not come here at all! I’m sick of all these people coming here and expecting to be taken care of!
2023-04-02 0
This is the way they think they can invade the country and then we are suppose to donate, give them food cards, housing, jobs, etc. outrageous.

In California we don’t have no fkn water. The freeways are fkn jammed all the time. Our gas prices are outrageous. And now we these illegals
2023-04-01 0
Bruh. These people are running from a war torn country. I don't get why people are so pissed about these guys doing this. Sure it's illegal. Sure it uses resources. But uhh. It's our own governments fault for not using our taxes to pay for the things we need when we're in need. I could see the outrage if this was happening with people from other countries that have no constant violence going on. But these people are scared for their lives.
2023-04-01 0
I submitted immigration sponsorship for my family and have been waiting for the last 15 years. What do these people think they are entitled to come just because there are issues in their own country? This is getting ridiculous. I am outraged by the fact that we go through the legal system and waiting period has been almost two decades with just one hope that someday we get to reunite with our family and these people keep ruining our chances.

When did CNN become Fox? Thanks for furthering the narrative folks. It's an invasion! They're gonna take our jobs! We can't feed our own people! It's the cartels! What if this were a train full of Australians or Ukrainians? F-ckin hypocritical outrage bullsh-t.

Selected outrage by some elected officials will supersede any they may had for rioters storming the capital
2023-03-26 0
There is a huge backlog on legal applications for a lots of immigrants who applied legally, families torn apart and have long weight. They are already in the USA, there are sanctuary cities, New York was just dumping them off there. We tax payers are flipping the bills for them while so many Canadians are living on the streets. Those who are mad and outrage by this, you can go ahead and sponsor them, that mean you are legally responsible for all their expenses. As Canadians, even when we cross the border we got to have our passport and we go through a lots of scrutiny. Fill out the paperwork and wait to be processed, because right now we are already in crisis with lodging and food. USA is the one who must take care of those who cross their borders.

Make no mistake, I'm a Canadian born citizen and people are outraged by this but if anyone says anything bad they're called racists and told to shut up. Meanwhile they're the ones barely making ends meet because the cost of living is outrageous. Taxes keep increasing to pay for all these migrants.
2023-03-21 0
You cant increase Immigration faster that what they country can handle. Canada is struggling since Trudeau triple the immigration numbers, now high inflation is, outrageous house prices, not enough living infrastructures, taxes spend on immigrants, that receive more benefits than someone in the country. I can go on.

Hey, wh is there no outrage over Canada?
2023-03-18 0
Looking forward to the leftists collective outrage when Canada build's a wall at the US boarder!

You clowns at CNN we’re outraged when Florida flew illegals into Washington and NewYork, how about reporting that the NewYork mayor is giving illegals free bus tickets to the Canadian border

The tax points are valid but it also has a plus side. Having the sales tax added at checkout forces you to know what you are paying and hopefully being outraged at each and every purchase. Income taxes on your pay stub every two weeks throws the tax amount right into your face so that you can't not know. 30 years ago in Ontario there was a proposal to have sales tax included in prices. I wrote a letter to my MPP arguing against. People need to be confronted by the idea of their tax amounts. Being perpetually offended by taxation keeps the populace from getting complacent about government mismanagement of the public purse.

gotta agree with the assessment. Due to the cost of living I been scoping out either alberta (calgary) or quebec (Quebec city), and even with quebec's outrageous tax rate, it's just better than calgary in quality of life.

I grew up in Canada much of my life. My family immigrated to Ontario more\nThan 30 years ago , where the cost of living was manageable and health care was excellent, minimum wage was $6/ hr but you can still save and buy a house in Ontario. Cost of living increases yearly while income stays relatively the same. Post pandemic the cost of living is outrageous, particularly now in Nova Scotia. The last province where you could buy your dream home on the beach/ocean for 80K-200K. Now it’s impossible to fine affordable housing so people are forced to live in shares accommodation in tiny apartments / home. The highest tax on your income and plus taxes on goods/services. \n\nI also agree on the depression and loneliness and boredom … you do have to put effort if you want a social life. \n\nHaving said this, living in small rural towns is very peaceful if you want to live a low key life and just be with nature. \n\nOn the plus side. The summer here is short but very beautiful with long daylight (sunrise at 6am and sunset at 9:30-10pm depending where you live). \n\nWinter is the hardest if you are a tropical kinda person who loves the sun and heat. Best solution is to stay in Canada for summer and live elsewhere in the winter.

See, cities being less compact is something that I prefer. I hate super compact cities. Also, you can’t compare cost of living in LA to cities in Canada. The cost of living in California or NY is considered outrageous for most of the US. I’ve been to Canada and remember thinking it was way more expensive than where I’m from. You can say nobody wants to live in the other places, but I personally don’t mind. I have no interest in being in the “hubs.” Oh, and tap water varies here too. I’ve been all around the US and St. Louis area tap water is amazing whereas some places I’ve been it’s terrible. Really just depends.

This is outrageous. However, my American daughter received her degree by working 60 hours a week, driving 2 hours a day . She had a full scholarship for tuition which 42:36 was not near enough. But she does mot have any student debt. She also has a wonderful career in teaching of which she does not get paid enough and today risks her life to do what she loves and was born to do.

i live inj british columbia and although it is beautiful and an outdoor lovers paradise its also run by the NDP who are destroying everything they touch, its outrageously expensive and the wokeness is disgustingly strong here. if i did not love fishing so much i would leave bc to escape the ndp who ruin my beloved province. we are too small to have any meaningful say in Ottawa and trudeau uses us , manipulating our resources at will to benefit ontario and quebec...2 examples... LNG terminals and open water salmon farms
