Great speaker, but never answered the question about refugees because no one wants them. Except Canada. Also the Palestinians never owned the land, and I get that Israel had and still is stealing the homes of Palestinians that lived on the land and displacing them with illegal resettlements which is disgusting but God gave the land to Abraham 3000 years ago. Israel predates Palestine.

Gazans have been asking to be taken in as refugees until the war ends. No one in the Arab world wants to help. They should be able to leave war if they wanted, just like Russians and Ukrainians, however the difference there is that the West supported them and offered them refugee status. The Arab world is declining to do this, perhaps out of fear that they will never leave. Which mother would not willingly leave Gaza to protect her children during wartime? It's not that they don't want to leave their land, it's that no one will take them.

The arabs dont want to take in palestinians coz in the past, Palestinian refugees tried to overthrow the governments of their host countries, twice.

That was a longwinded way of saying “we don’t want em”. \nAn Arab leader made it very clear why they did not want refugees from war torn counties, he said “they are too poor, too traumatised and too radicalised”.

All the Syrians and many other Muslims that immigrated into Europe didn’t want to leave their land either. But many European nations welcomed them in. But the surrounding Muslim nations will not allow Palestinian refugees into their countries, whether they want to come or not. In a nutshell what he said, was, we don’t want them they need to stay where they’re at.

Straightforward, telling facts, I don't get why some people in western countries don't get the fact that it is their homeland and they don't want to be foreign, refugees in other countries. We all know that they're pushing agenda to kick Palestinians out of their land but that's not going to happen.

Israel is perfectly willing to let the Palestinians stay and keep their land. Israel only wants the end of the HAMAS terrorists! None of the border countries wanted the refugees at the very start of this. Why? Because they can't tell who is Hamas and who isn't. The Palestinian citizens have been terrorized and coerced into doing the biddings of these monsters under pain of death and torture. Just like in Yemen, the Houthi terrorists, come in, and attempt to take over a perfectly functioning state. Worse yet, they don't even recognize that they have become nothing but puppets for Iran.

I think that in the situation that Gaza is in, a lot of refugees would want to leave whether they think this land belongs to them or not... The Arab world simply does not care about them because they are not rescuing them from the dangerous place they are in

If Arab countries offered to take in residents of Gaza (not Palestine - actually no such place as Palestine), the Palestinians would pour into their country. However, no Arab countries offer to help them or take them in as refugees.

Basically Arabs won’t take in Muslim refugees. Europe and USA will. Palestinians cannot live peacefully because they always want to fight with others even when they HAD (past tense) homes jobs and families.

Something is very rotten in this world.. The governments of these countries heavily criticise The West but at the end of the day, their refugees from their countries come flocking to us for a better life.. Fleeing is easy! If you really want a better life, you need to work hard and push against your leaders to demand that your voice is heard! offering asylum is the humane thing to do yes, but it's not helping solve any problems. Sometimes you need to be cruel to be kind and i think it's about time we shut the doors.

They're trying to get rid of the middle class and force rentals and no more ownership. Refugees and immigrants are allowed in to mess with demand and covid caused people to move out of the city, then American billionaires such as Bill Gates bought up all the vacant homes and are raising prices. We gotta fix the loopholes and only allow people who live here to own. Pretty much what happened in Rome is going to happen here and Canada has a lot of resources which is what China wants.

Totally agree. If they leave their land they will never be able to return as Isreal will take it over. Isreal wants them to become refugees and then they would have to change their nationality and become either Egyptian or Jordanian and Palestinian would no longer exist, exactly what Isreal wants.

Canada cannot afford and cannot deal with the over 1.2 million people the government wants to bring in each year as immigrants, students and refugees. I don't know where they get the idea that we can accommodate such huge numbers. We cannot!

Does he actually think that Palestinians want to leave their homeland? They're fleeing death and destruction, any nation with a shred of humanity should be offering to help these poor people, not hitting them with the NIMBY stick. If countries in Europe are taking in refugees then the arab nations should be doing their part too. Afterall, isnt it fellow arabs that are suffering?

His most probably very expensive education pays off. But thinking with the same logic, all the other war and/or dictatorship refugees (from Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan,...) would probably also prefer living in their own countries without the fear of terror, torture and death. Does that give us European & Westerners the mandate to get rid of those evil regimes? This is not a rhetorical questions - I am afraid, there is no answer without blood on our all hands. Last but not least - isn't Israel fighting for a better life of Palestinians/Arabs in this region, when they want to destroy Hamas & Hezbollah, which have clearly the most responsibility for the current situation? If I would be an Arab living in the Middle East hoping for human rights and some prosperity, I would certainly choose to be an Israeli citizen!

There are no Palestinian refugees anywhere for a reason because we dont wanna leave our land no matter what and we dont want anyone to take us in because we are not going anywhere i know its kinda hard for people to understand how we dont want to leave with everything thats going on in Palistine but we are not letting go of our mother land

Of course the Arabs don’t want refugees look what happened in Jordan 1970 called Black September when some Palestine refugees try to over throw the Jordan government after they accepted them because they were refugees ?.

1st - there is no more blockade. The moment israel has managed to create sufficient infrastructure to i spect incoming aid trucks (to make sure they are not smuggling weapons in) than there is zero blockade.\nThe bottleneck is from UN countries that can't or won't send enough aid.\n\n2nd. The palestinians already had their own land. In Gaza. They had their own Hamas government and policies and rules. \nThe problem is that they have been waging on-and-off war against a neighbouring country since 2007 with the goal to exterminate that other country, and now they went too far and lost. \n\nThis is the consequence of waging war on a far stronger coubtry - you lose and get effed.\n\nAnd most of their resident want this war to continue (according to polls. I didnt ask them all myself) so the fate of whatever coubtry they want to have again will be the same.\n\nThe problem is with the Gazan mentality that leads to their govermental mentality , which is all-or-nothing. No pragmatic solution and no desire to co-exist. \nTheir refugee status is their fault and the aolution is to slowly replace the mentality. Since can not be done by them alone. They can say what they want but taking refugees is humanitarian. Hamas kicked this off and they could start by calling them to the carpet.

But the fact is that the same happened for any other group that has been displaced in f____g history from any place they used to live, including jewish people in that piece of land before it was Palestina.\n\nUkrainians, Syria, any of these conflicts in Africa…examples are abundant in the last 30-40 years not to talk about jewish in the 1930-40s. Moved from Hungary to Jordan becouse we want to know our 4 children in islamic environment. We have everyday our own challenges becouse my husband parents were refugees from Gaza. So we don't have jordanian citizenship, we don't have many basic rights(for exaple me as a nurse and physiotherapist can get a job here becouse in the healthcare only jordanian citizens can work). BUT facing with all these difficulties we still thanks to Allah that were able to took this step to move here to make our kids belief stronger and practice their religion much more easier. Alhamdulillah for everything.

If a country opens its borders to Palestinian refugees, they facilitate Israel’s objective of flattering Gaza and ethically cleansing the land to allow for further expansion and illegal settlement. Israel want to get rid of Palestine and all its people, chasing them out and killing those who are too slow. By standing their ground, the Arab world are forcing the west to see what they have supported and see what Israel are doing and encouraging them to change and to act and to stop the genocide. But it is also at the expense of tens of thousands of lives and an entire nations facilities. The Arab world are letting the bodies pile high until the west can't look away any more. I understand both sides of this and dislike both options, letting Palestinians die, and letting Israel take Gaza by accepting refugees. I can't say I support Saudi Arabias actions, but I also would feel the same if they opened their doors to refugees. Neither one are the right solution, and only we westerners can make this stop. And believe me, I am trying to do my part. I have signed. I have shared. I have donated. I have protested. And I will continue to do so until there is a free Palestine
