Canada will benefit with a strong 10 State influence within 60 United States governance affairs. Benefits are 10 more States on a balanced display welcomed as 10 white stars within the beautiful United States of America field of Blue of our Flag. Other countries will see North America’s Great Power when 60 glorious States, when combined, and working well together, communicating best when communicating with each other only in English, when English is the United States official National Language. No more Government waste of having multi language signage. Another geologically considered North American country, Greenland, with 4 more territories may wish to add four more States, as well as the many existing United States Territories across the globe may desire Statehood. The Sun will never set on the United States. So many good reasons why Canada’s 10 Provinces, with a mostly conservative thinking population of thinkers, should be transformed into 10 new United States States, not just one United States. As a Canadian who is determined to thrive in whatever environment I am in, I can say becoming a carpenter has been a pretty good decision. Wages are up and I am in demand. My home is paid off and I am 39. I live in cottage country in a great little village with a beautiful wife and 3 beautiful daughters. I have traveled enough to know that I have a good thing going here. As a capable and adaptable human being, I will do well not matter where I am though.

I’m part of that brain drain from Canada to the U.S. Having dual citizenship made that easy, and while I miss so many things about Vancouver, I was being totally squeezed between expensive housing and very poor income outlook. There were director level positions that were offering less than my mid level role; not a good look. Down south, I was able to jump income (not considering the exchange rate) 200% in two years, and I have far better career prospects. \n\nIt’s not great. I will always be a Canadian at heart.

I am a person that loves nature. I am really hoping that the bear, wolf, and moose populations are healthy enough to help with this issue naturally. Make America AND Canada great again. The Canadian health care is not that great, like most things you get what you pay for, even if our health care is free or said to be, but when you have to wait 6 months, with a appointment to see a Doc, or have to wait 15 or 20 hrs in some emergency room before you see a doc, is not good, & if you should see some doc you are scared they will tell you to take some over the counter medication & send you home, in fear you might die in next few hours,

The commentary here sounds so much like U.S. citizens griping, it's almost funny, but also sad. Maybe Trump the ignoramus is right... do Canadians really want to give up and just become part of the USA? I doubt it, but if you're in any doubt as to where to live, don't try just south of you. It's got all the problems you mention and then some. And of course it's still a great country; I was born here and live here happily. But I've also been to Canada four times since the 1980's, and each time I am just wowed by the many ways in which Canada seems ahead of the USA. The grass truly is greener on the other side of the fence... just be aware of what you have, and that you have an amazing country, too. I have spent quite a bit of time in USA and I always find my experience split. For the most part the people and places are great. As a filmmaker I have shot in NYC, California, Mississippi to name a few. The people were always accommodating and friendly. One time a gentlemen and his wife that allowed us to film in his property would bring us hot chocolate at night, then offered to shoot anyone who got in our way. I was also filming in the desert in 2009 and I almost got shot in the face by a group of police officers that charged in guns out and tempers raging, before realizing that we had film permits and were scheduled to be on site. Only to have the crew say that if I was black they would have shot first and asked questions later. As tensions rise between Canada and USA with Trump's trade war and attempt to ANNEX Canada I think I will do my filming in other parts of the world, if not in Canada. I have plenty of American friends and know a lot of Canadians that live in the US. I just hope things settle between our two nations soon. Where do you live? Interested to see what part of the States you live in.

Tyler, I am sorry for what is happening in your country because I believe there are more great people compared to the “other” that we see creeping out of their holes. I worry for your less fortunate, those depending on help from their government and have earned this right, those being tossed out for no good reason. Together let’s do something about it instead of leaving. Canada isn’t a country like China where no changes can be made by its citizens. I’m an immigrant, first arrived here in Canada in 2014. Once I heard the US wants to annex us I asked myself what can I do to help prevent this. I think the quickest way is we need a stronger military. I looked up the Canadian military website and found out me as a permanent resident can also be qualified to apply. Although the compensation isn’t that great, if the US really start being unwise I will definitely apply.

As far as healthcare goes the US is a 3rd world country, where, only the rich can afford to see a doctor, or visit a hospital. You have thousands of people living on the streets, with NO help, or concern. America is no different than Bangladesh, or Ethiopia, for having a part of your society living on the street, begging for food, or money. I’m from a south Asian country Living in Canada. I have never found Canadians to be racist towards me or my family. We respect Canadian culture and heritage and we blend in well. Our kids are Canadians. They are not sound Asians. I don’t brain wash them to think any other country is grater than Canada. They have strong Canadian values and will be devastated if someone ever discriminates against them. I have taught them it’s a privilege that they were born in a such a great country and to love and respect their country.

Now we are 10% of US population so for every $1 of disposable market they offer us we offer them 2.5c worth of market \n \nHow can such one sided unequal deals work? I am a UK citizen. I find it strange that Indian nationals claim to be 'proud' of their country, yet they all want to move elsewhere (UK, US, Canada, Australia etc). If their country is so great, then why do they want to keep going to other countries? And then there's the bureaucracy for those who want to visit destinations such as India. If India wants to impose endless paperwork and procedures to other countries, then it should expect the same. India was the one that started the childish tit-for-tat behaviour when the UK and Canada were restricting visa applications during the pandemic, so therefore India banned e-visa applications from Canadians and UK citizens. If India wants to behave like this, then why can't other nations? The UK is full of Indians who come here and don't want to integrate to our way of life etc, hence it's better for everyone if they just stayed in India.

Many people now days have a negative view of Indian immigrants. USA is flooded with Indian scammers. Many complain about behavioral issues. So, the reputation is not exactly great. I've seen more and more US and Canadians pushing back.

Tyler there are 600 mass shootings in the U.S each year which is almost 2 a day per average and while they do not all take place in schools, how many mass shootings are tolerable? As long as Americans like yourself dismiss all the data to the contrary the U.S will continue to have the tragedies it does, When you look up mass shootings which is where there are more than 2 victims per incident you'll find Canada doesn't even register in those statistics because where the U.S has 600 mass shootings a year Canada hasn't had 600 in its last 100 years. So that is why Canadians mention school shootings as a reason, because the potential is real for it to happen. It is preventable tragedy but Americans as a whole need to want that change, until it does the rest of the world will always bring up gun violence and school shootings when the U.S is in the discussion. As a Canadian, I see the relationship with Trump as very toxic. Not long ago, we detained under house arrest Meng Wanzhou (Huawei exec) at the request of Trump. He used her as a bargaining chip for trade between the US and China. Remember that? Canada had to do it (to show others that we keep our word when it comes to treaties). In the end, he cancelled the request, after several years and 2 Canadians being arrested in retaliation by China. So we degraded OUR relationship with China... and for what?
