I honestly think Trump doesn’t know how tariffs work. His acolytes are too scared to tell him he’s got it wrong saying the exporting countries pay the tariffs, he said it time & again in the campaign & his dumb as a rock MAGA supporters actually beleived him. The media were absolutely derelict in not pushing back on his claims they just kept covering him saying it, & here we are.

Any time you are on any kind of team, the teammates you want are ones you can trust, ones that will keep their word. One thing that has made the US strong is the allies we have. He have been able to keep these allies because, in general, we have stuck to agreements we have made with other countries historically. If you have an ally that doesn’t fulfill their end of agreements then they are not much of an allie. If Trump is thinking he can “replace” our current allies and just go become allies with Russia—Russia doesn’t have a good track record on following through on agreements in the last few decades.

Trump as a president one time is crazy. Twice is a joke. I don't know how in 2025 with all information and education out there, americans vote in one guy just because he is from Republican Party. Even if this guy doesn't deserve to represent the Republican Party.

An industry that would fall apart like it's 1920 the moment tariffs end? I predict noone.\n\nI have some experience with Clark, he was an insightful man during his command in Europe. It should be concerning when he can't see a reason for these actions, for cozying up to Putin and alienating allies. There's no end goal here that is in the US' interest. As an American, I am embarrassed by our leadership. Presidents like Trudeau and Zelensky are men to look up to. They may not be perfect, but they remain strong and confident in the face of the tyranny of Trump and Putin. I live an hour from the Canadian border, and they have been nothing but kind and amazing every time I've ever visited. My support is with Canada, Mexico and Ukraine. It is a dark and embarrassing time to be an American.
