If you ask the hotelier, driver, tour agent or even attraction/tourism spot staff they already have a signal among each other if there is tourist from India coming. As a foreigner coming to India practically every year since 1975 I can say the way India is handling visa applications makes no sense. Foreigners who spend nearly all their income on Charity in India are denied an entry visa, year after year. And with only an tourist visa life is pretty unpleasant for non tourists.

Now I get why first meeting after Trump administration was with India.

As an Australian, I can honestly say that some of your countrymen who visit this country, are not the shining ambassadors for India. Overstaying their visas, criminal offending, visa fraud, and violence against women are just some of the problems we are experiencing. This may be contributing to an increase in visa rejections from Indian nationals.
