Educated from kindergarten with English as medium of instruction, a post graduate degree, in IT - one of the first things I did was watch, listen and learn how things are done here. After the pandemic years, things have changed. There has been a sudden browning of Canada. I didn't leave India 40 odd years ago for India to come to me. I am getting older every year and I do not want to die in a country that is suddenly so foreign to me. I would love my old Canada back, please. I want my "eh"s back please. Welp, about a half an hour ago when I got home, I realized that someone broke into my apartment building and stole my shoes that were infront of my door. SHOES. last year someone broke in and stole my bike. The thing is, this area was NEVER like this. It was safe and people trusted each other. Guess what has changed? So true I come to Canada at 16 started working at 17 pay tax ever since I have never collected anything from the government. Now at 54 I have bad lungs and still haven't use the system. I hurt myself once and apply for WSIB and was denied. So I never try using any else ever since. Canada is becoming a third world country little by little. When I moved here 7 years ago, Canada felt like heaven. People were respectful, culture was strong, even Tims had great customer service. I was eager to adapt, made Canadian friends, worked in a church Downtown, Barrie to assimilate. Now it feels totally different, more chaotic almost third world in parts.
