It's Not enough and this was Not Fair! We came here in this country and vetted for 6 years by Immigration and all proper education requirements met. My mom worked so hard to be able to come into this Country when I was 14yrs old, there were Rules and Criteria. Now, it's all a Joke. As long as you have huge sums to pay, they let you in, easily, 3months you get Permanent Resident status, we worked hard for 6 years, even doesn't matter if you're a criminal from back home, they let you in, as long as you have money. No proper Vetting process! What has this Current government done to this once great country? They ruined this whole Canadian immigration dream for everyone. My family feels angry and cheated on! quebec health care system paid for a least invasive radiotherapy in philadelphia for 3 months because it gave my 5 years old nephew a better chance at a normal life had he survived. The parents even receive money to pay for an appartement during treatments because hotels are just too dangerous for these kids. I am so sorry, as a native Canadian, that Indians are feeling attacked. Please understand this is the result of runaway immigrations with no real screening. The government quadrupled immigration, hundreds of percents increase in students, asylum seekers, and illegal entries, even though there was already a housing crisis, and a completely predictable doctor shortage due to aging out. Covid was just starting to get under control but many still needed treatment and BOOM, the population went from 30 million in 2014 to over 40 million in a decade, most of it in the last 3 years. We native Canadians are scratching our heads, we don't understand what the Liberals are trying to accomplish but to create suspicion and racism between groups of people -- divide and conquer? Maybe...but ultimately it is a complete lack of planning! Still 99 percent of Canadian born do not blame Iindividual ndians for this. I've lived and worked with Indians my entire life of over 60 years. There are now Indian gangs, particularly Punjabi gangs because of lack of oversight, and while they are small they are constantly committing crimes, selling drugs, shooting people all in the last few years. I hear gun shots nightly in my ethnically mixed neighbourhood, and we are all afraid to walk at night. Unfortunately the people arrested are mostly from continental India. Some have a political agenda that has to do more with India than Canada, so they recruit young Indo-Canadian children from good families and tell them they are being oppressed, and next thing these kids are acting as drug mules and enforcers, being told that they are fighting systemic racism. As for dancing and music, I love the cultural events, we are happy to see and even take part in Indian cultural events. IWhen I do hear people blaming India and Indians it breaks my heart too! Hopefully together we can fix this. Our governments are at odds, and I hate this -- they need to respectfully talk and work this out. My son lives in Victoria in the top floor of a house in the beautiful Gorge neighbourhood: 1400 sq.ft., 2 bedrooms all utilities included for $1800. My sister has a 3 bedroom townhouse in Victoria, she pays $1500 per month (no utilities included). I only wish nobody wanted to live in Canada. I have seen the population here explode in recent years to the point where many people are having trouble finding housing and our infrastructures are not keeping up to the numbers. While affordability is def an issue there are a number of facts thrown around on this video that are making me question the data points being used. $3k rent sure, if you're downtown Vancouver and live on your own in a newer building with amenities which is what a friend of mine pays in Yaletown. But then I have a friends in KITS paying $1600, Main St $1500, Surrey $1100. There is not 7% of the population emigrating to the US. The rent can't be increased by $7000 as stated by the two girls, it's capped at around 3% annually, so not sure what the real context around that clip is. The girl who took a year to get housing at UBC - presumably she was renting somewhere else in Vancouver, I doubt she was living out of her car . Sounds like this was made with the most sensational examples which really undercts the video because I can't trust the other information about things I don't directly know. Having said that red tape has made building in Vancouver difficult and population growth has put huge pressure on the housing and rental market. Foreign investment purchases of housing has probably driven up the prices more than anything in Vancouver and as stated it has been linked to money laundering from drug money. It's the most expensive city in Canada btw, so while prices are high across the country, Vancouver is the worst of the lot, even worse than Toronto, so hardly an average example to look at.

Real international student brings money and high quality people to Canada. However,there are some students coming to Canada aiming to work and to gain income back home. Why entrepreneurs and start up programs that can bring money to Canada takes years (over 3 years) to process and the number of applications is shrinking. Canada needs money to sustains the economy. While I agree with most of what was said in the video, there are a few major mistakes that are very misleading. For example, the video states that Canadians spends more on gas than any of the G7 members. This is FAR for the truth. I’m a German who moved to Canada 3 years ago. Gas here in Canada is HALF the price of what it is in Germany! So, the per litre price is super cheap in Canada! So, why is the total number on spending for gas so high? Because Canada is insanely HUGE. People drive insane distances and thus need an insane amount of gas. You can’t compare total spending on gas. You would need to compare the price per litre of gas, which is pretty cheap in Canada. In fact, the only country that has cheaper gas than Canada in the G7, is the USA. All the other G7 members pay more per litre. \n\nThen you also mentioned dairy prices. Yes, they are highly regulated. But compared to Europe, dairy prices are almost the same as in Europe. Again, the only country with cheaper prices in the G7 is the USA. What is (insanely) more expensive however, is meat, housing and groceries in general.\n \nIn general, your point still stands: Canada is insanely expensive. However, you listed the “wrong” items, because the ones you listed are relatively cheap compared to the G7!

Don't blame the people... and blame your government policy. Government should brings those people who can help shape a better country instead of those refugees. The problem that I have seen is that - We accepted far more refugees than the genuine individuals. We chased investors/skills people away and we pay for those refugees with no background check and they lived on our finance system. Canada should look after their citizen first before dumping money into warfare(F35), Ukraine (a war can't never be won)...more dialogue instead of sanctions, lower the taxes so we all can live and pay affordable taxes. I am an immigrant essentially - finally got my PR after 3 years in 2012 (on a skilled worker application - IT Systems Manager), 10k in lawyers fees - I took exams to prove I can write read and speak English - I maintained a decent level of fitness to pass my medical (cost more money in gym memberships) (I was born and bred in the UK and privately educated there) I bought a house before I was a PR - I had to jump through hoops and I played by the rules to get my PR (I am now a citizen) - I do not understand how these people think that they can just demand what I had to work so very hard to achieve...?
