Why do Muslims always fall back on the old 'this is how I/they/we interpret the Koran's teachings'? How can something that is meant to be the perfect word of God be interpreted in so many different ways? Surely God would be a pretty clear communicator? It sounds like a convenient way for muslims to distance themselves from extremists without actually addressing the questionable parts of the Koran.

Niqab is creepy. There are few Muslims here in Texas but when I saw one in the Middle Eastern neighborhood I was kind of creeped out. I think the niqab should be banned, it is not mandatory and the hijab fully suffices.

As a Muslim That has read the Quran 2 things my mom explained to me that Muslim women are truly held to a higher standard than men and that the hijab is a choice.
