What I have noticed all my life living in Canada is Caucasians don't like hearing the truth about anything where they are feel they are being made to look like the villain, but the objective is not to make anyone feel like they're on trial but to start acknowledging that this is going on regardless of if you've ever experienced/seen it or not. The reason Caucasians don't see it is because of what they call White Privilege. Caucasians will never have to deal with the subtleties of racism that minorities face everyday because they will never be treated that way even in other countries they visit or live. Many Caucasians aren't aware that stereotyping is racism as you will notice them say the weirdest things and make really weird assumptions like calling a Korean woman Chinese or mistaking a Hindu or Sikh for someone Islamic, which you should never do. Cultural insensitivity happens here because many Caucasians don't care much to learn about another culture and because of this there's it's creating even more issues. The race problem is Canada is huge and people are trying to say that it isn't but in the coming years more and more evidence is going to come out to the point where it will be irrefutable and there will either be a reform or civil war.

In my humble opinion, political over-correctness might be a bigger problem to Canada and most countries. Political correctness reminds people that some real bad things happened in the history and we shall not forget it and we intentionally do thing differently to correct it. However political over-correctness is poisonous to free expression making people somehow hypocrite which doesn't help for a better world because you don't even know what problems are and how serious they are.

I see lots of videos like this and yes i agree that we have racism in Canada just like in every single other country around the world. I also notice that never once in one video have i seen one of these people mentioning the racism that is tough to children not just white children but all children as everyone knows racism is a tough behavior. As every single country has racism that means its a problem for all and for some reason the world only is worried about racism in white peoples instead of attacking this issue as a whole

First problem is he went to Alberta it’s probably the most racist province in Canada, also why didn’t he try the family immigration program if his sister is here?

Systemic racism, indeed, but thanks to a consistent lens upon it over the last 30-40 years, it is diminishing. A meritocracy fulfilled by classism that requires a lower-middle class and a poverty class to sustain itself definitely exists. And, is a much much bigger problem here in Canada.

The problem seems to be that the premier’s don’t know the definition of systemic racism. Systemic racism is about institutions, governments, banks, schools, etc limiting access to minorities all minorities. It’s worse in Canada than it is in the US. Look at Canada how many black are in people if government are represented in the government. Look at the companies you work for how many minorities are CEO’s or CFO’s how many VP’s. This is why I say it’s worse in Canada than the US, cause at least in the US upward mobility is not limited to only one minority group but all visible minorities.

Canada has a racism problem just like the US. Just because you haven't experienced it doesn't mean it doesn't exist

Someone who lives and studied the Canadian history in school, I can say that there is racism in Canada, but not as worst as USA is we are to compare, but that doesn’t mean Canada is innocent either. It has its fair share of racism in from the history until the present days. The government does make it seem they are washing their hands of their history and directing the attention to the USA than admitting they too have this problem. Just not obvious and worst.

Originally this comment was like the size of a book talking about just some of the specific examples of Police and civilian racism I witnessed with my own Caucasian eyes in this country. I am extremely patriotic and I love being Canadian but I have been saying for years that we have problems when it comes to racism but no one here wants to even acknowledge it. Of course we're not as bad as our neighbors but at least they talk about it and seem to want to come to terms with their bigotry and institutionalized racism in society. As long as we keep pretending we don't TO THIS DAY have an ongoing history with systemic racism in politics, policing and even in the workplace than we will never in real life be the actual Canada we try to tell the world and ourselves we really are and that makes me deeply sad and ashamed.

How did we go from ‘diversity is our strength’ to ‘Canada has a problem with systemic racism’ ? Why is it whenever the USA has a problem it needs to become ours too? Seems like virtue signalling to me.

I think Canada’s proximity to the USA desensitized us to its problems. Canadians have a long history of defining themselves by the fact that they are NOT American but that doesn’t shield us from the fact that we have some growing to do. We have generally more socially favorable welfare programs than the US but that doesn’t mean there isn’t systematic racism, it just means it’s shown and expressed in different ways

I'm calling bs. I grew up in Scarborough, the schools in my area were mixed Caribbean, Canadian, European, Indian (and other South asain), Chinese (and other East Asian), middle Eastern, African, Latino, everyone went to the same school. Everyone's families were and are poor going through the same struggle. By the time I got to highschool I took the higher level courses, I went to class everyday, I wasn't a smart kid I didn't get to uni, I took a bridging program in college and got into uni. It's not hard to climb the latter in Canada if you work for it. Meanwhile at the same school a large percentage of Carribean and Somalian black students do not go to class, they skip, they dont care. In fact these same kids picked and made fun of the Asian kids that did go to school. They have zero respect imo. You can call me whatever you want I am just speaking my personal experience. School never seemed like a priority to them. I'm not Chinese or Indian but those 2 cultures always seemed like the hardest working. Those kids went to every class and got the best grades. Again Caribbean and Somalian black students in my area were more likely to be distruptive in class and get into fights. As were Greek kids and Canadian/Irish white kids. I am only pointing out the black students in relation to this video. Personal accountability is important, I don't disagree there is problems with the system but let's not act like there isn't a problem within black and even poor white culture itself. Sometimes you have to look in the mirror.

where do you start with people like this. She really believes that Canada belongs to her. Did you go to an all white Canadian White School. When you was a kid growing up. ? At what point did you start to notice that you was a different colour to other people. Hey Yes there is a problem of racism in Canada too. They will not show directly but indirectly will do that at most of the places. Its really rude especially when i try to help out somebody or don’t have any intentions to hurt people. I always try to make people happy and smile. Why is that? Before anything we are all humans, that should all matters. Please being respectful to everybody, you never know how the person is already going through in their lives. Many immigrants came to a white country. They should integrate, become Canadians, respect its culture and language. If this is not what they want, it would be better for them to return where they came from. They should not create problems for themselves and Canada. This is fair for everyone.

If the cultures that feel discriminated against would behave in a civilized manner then maybe they wouldn't get the rxn they do - stats always tell the true story. Ppl are afraid & extra cautious b/c what they see is a barrage of terrorism & destruction that is so synonymous w/ some cultures. Therefore I don't consider racism to be a huge problem in Canada. I see it more as a self-protective measure. Stop inciting a load of lies based on a few incidents.

The unspoken assumption seems to be that racism is a white problem. Yet across the years I have listened to Black and Chinese people express opinions which, coming from a white person, would have meant a day in court charged with the willful promotion of hatred.\n\nFurthermore, the young woman who has difficulty with people asking where she is from might want to consider the possibility that the other party is genuinely interested in learning more about her as a person. I am a white British-Canadian and am not in the least little bit offended when people ask me about my origins.\n\nIndeed, listening to immigrants and new Canadians share their life experiences and outlooks on things has gone a long way in shaping my own opinions as to how Canada can be a better country than it is now.\n\nCase in point; I have heard immigrants and new Canadians from nations as diverse as Jamaica, Trinidad, Nigeria, Ukraine, and the Philippines compare childrens' education in Canada with children's education in their countries of origin. I'm not white, have lived in Canada for 40+ years, and I have never been been racially profiled or been a victim of any blatant racism. Even now, living outside the GTA where it's less diverse, I've yet to experience any issues. I'm not saying those issues don't exist, but the first step to overcoming those problems is to stop with your own victim mentality. Not everything is about race, but that's the always the scapegoat for many when they fail at life.

Islam will take over your contry and than you'll miss all the western freedom you had. Act before it's too late. Don't let you country get taken over by them. Eliminate duel citizenship and this problem will go away. If you want to immigrate to Canada you must relinquish any previous citizenship. That would eliminate the possibility of these people moving back to China which means they wouldn't move here in the first place unless they were serious about being Canadian citizens and not just doing it for profit and access to Canadian real estate, social programs and future pensions for family.

There’s a common saying which states that the difference between Canadians and Americans is that “while Americans side with their fellow citizens against the government, Canadians side with their government against their fellow citizens.” This is stereotype is the best explanation as to why Canada can’t see to develop a viable market economy or compete with other nations on innovations in STEM or the arts. The whole bit about the store staff asking you if you needed assistance or hovering around you has happened to me when I was in Saudi Arabia in a store that sells electronic devises and books etc , bear in mind that I am Egyptian and that happens to me in Egypt as well so I don't think of it as race problem more so that some stores are just worried about theift, still that doesn't mean that I don't hate it, it makes you feel pressured to buy something so I thought if I went to Canada and if this happens to me it will be normal, now I don't think so.\nP.s. sorry my grammar and spelling isn't top notch giving that it isn't my native language.

Asylum from what? Being held accountable for his criminal actions? Ten fucking years and still can't speak english. He avoids being held responsible for his actions in Canada too. Now Canada sees what the US has been dealing with for decades of these people streaming over our border in the millions, and all the problems that they create here. Trudeau going to have to establish a DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) program in Canada now - people don't realize there is probably thousands like her scattered across the country mostly in the major cities. They all want similar relief from potentially being deported if they are caught. I have no problem giving it to them since most of them are young but I would enforce the condition that they have to resettle in Manitoba, Northern Ontario and the Atlantic Provinces - areas in Canada experiencing population decline, aging demographics and high job vacancy numbers. We don't need people who didn't follow the rules further overcrowding cities like Toronto and Vancouver where the cost of living is rising every year.

Hello, I just watched your video. Three years after you made it. I hope you are still with us and a very belated Welcome. Many people throughout the world seem to have so many stereotypes about Americans. Whether it is good or bad there typically is some truth in a stereotype. Overall it seems like you are enjoying yourself and no matter what there is no place like home. I would think no matter what your current situation is you still miss Canada as I would miss the United States if I were to move to Canada. \nA couple things you mentioned in the video were not correct and as with anything there may be a little truth in the matter but yet still incorrect.\nThose who do not have health insurance are not charged or taxed $150 monthly. There is a provision in the affordable care act (ACA) that penalizes certain individuals who make above a certain dollar amount. The amount is either $150 or $300 for the entire year. I concur any monetary penalty against anyone for not having health insurance is outrageous. I could be wrong but I believe this aspect of the ACA was never implemented under President Obama and it was indefinitely suspended or revoked by President Trump. I also feel like I need to address your thoughts about the United States all about war. I believe the American people are like most other people and want peace and civility. The government and major defense contractors have differing opinions at times. Of course there is plenty of people who are war hawks but they are in the minority. Most of us are absolutely sick of war. We currently have been at war for almost 19 years. That's six complete world war 2's in their entirety. \nI think you were being awfully generous when you said obesity is on par with the rest of the world!! Unfortunately there is far to many fat people here and the problem is only getting worse because the media says be happy and proud you are fat. Okay I will be first to admit as a canadaian.. yes canada has racism issues. No questions. Every country does in their own culture and society. And this is a huge problem. But having said that, I personally have not faced or may be was not treated in a face of racially biased way. In recent years, I do see huge changes where we have these occurence alot more but not to a degree to our neghibours to south.

The Muslims of today are not like the once that I knew and lived with in the '60s and '70s in Iraq. The Arab Muslims were the best people. We Christians had no problem with our Muslim neighbors. The Muslims of today are radicalized by NWO to create trouble in any country they immigrate to. They were created and radicalized by the USA and Saudi Arabia. Our immigration policy of Ahmed Hussain is to bring them in so that they take the power in our major cities. Ahmed Hussain is a bad Muslim. Refugee Christians who are living in countries like Turkey had their interviews and medical test years ago but they are still waiting for their visas to come to Canada. They are sponsored refugees by their families in Canada.

I think it depends on location i live in victoria, british Columbia i easily get 20 hours and yeah problems are there but still my life completely changed i became responsible and independent . Canada is the best country for students.
