I’m not gonna hate on you, but I am gonna say something that is directed towards your comment section and your opinion. I’m sick of Americans and Canadians bitching and saying Europe is better. Europe most of the time sucks, especially Eastern Europe where I originally grew up. Europe happens to be more depressing also than the USA/Canada in my opinion. For me personally moving to Ontario was the best decision ever and I would never, in a hundred years move to Europe. Maybe Italy or the Netherlands are one of the only countries in Europe which life would be as great, as it is here.

I'm an international student (now graduate) living in Montreal, most of my classmates (including me) say they had a much better life back home. They had less income, but also less expenses. Most of the people in my country own huge ancestral houses, farms, gardens, lands.. They don't live like birds in cages, like here in Canada

I left Canada for Southeast Asia in 2019, and I'm not going back. The career opportunities and savings are much greater in other countries. My phone bill, internet bill, healthcare, etc. is much better in Asia. Plus I don't need a car here. The savings on that alone are nuts.

It's an immigrant quota goverment tax scam. They need self sustained educated immigrants to raise tax money for the locals without being a burden for the government. Once in Canada they don't care how you do. As far as technical or high pay occupations they are controlled by unions which make gualifying degree holder immigrants pay exorbitants amounts of money and go though so much red tape that make it almost impossible for them to practice in their field. Their degree qualifies them to come to Canada, that's all. Once in the degrees even if better than Canada's standards, they are worthless. Engineering, medical fields are run by unions whose only purpose is to ensure Canadian born high payed proffesionals in those fields and others are guaranteed a lavish life through an endless pool of ever growing customers for a short list of elite board certified providers. It's a scam, a well thought one red seal approved by Ottawa. Get your foot in the country to escape the hell in your origin country, work through towards your citizenship which is always handy to have and bail out for better opportunities else where outside Canada. My two cents anyway.

#1 reason I would leave and I’m a Canadian is Trudeau. He’s a jerk. Canada was so much better without this asshole. I live in Toronto. Lucky enough to buy a house downtown in 1995 and we have good jobs. So $ isn’t a factor like for other people. But the liberals are ruining this beautiful country.

In the US thousands of people go bankrupt each year due to medical bills. I don't think that this happens in Canada. I lived in 4 EU and 2Asian countries and I found that medical services are affordable and quite good compared to the US. Is Portugal really better than the US and Canada?

I hope you don't underestimate Europe's existing problems when i went to London 4 years ago i was shocked that it wasnt the place i imagined it to be no need to explain im sure you understand what i mean. Im an Asian immigrant, but i wasnt expecting that i couldnt even see a caucasian in London mostly arabs, blacks, indians, some asians i do not hate it but im just confused i worked in the middle east for 10 yrs and i was hearing arabic speaking everywhere, also asian language its like im in Vancouver or Surrey area. I thjnk its not an isolated problem probably your new to that place thats why you do not see the problems yet but i hope you made the right decision. All the best. The tax is really quite high but the Canadain government though with some flaws is still better than most countries believe me i have lived in Asia, middle east and been to places and met all kinds of people. After watching this video, i still want to make my move to canada in the next 1 to 2 years. Because canada is a big upgrade from usa. Im from texas and i hate the hot weather that lasts 11 months of basically summer. and always dreamed about cold cloudy weather instead. Im 21 and im planning to get my education there so it's not really a big problem for me compared to other people who already studied in their home country. Basically life quality is better and i dont have to worry about the sad things that happen here. I love canada and i want to be a proud Canadian.

I know of a few taxi drivers that have law degrees or a PhD in the way they get treated is astounding the young need to be educated not just the Young the ignorant people say they're taking our jobs they're taking our jobs because they're work ethic is 100 times better in some cases in most cases people that are from a country that has benefited them wouldn't know damn thing about a hard life. I'm Canadian and I love both Canada and the US. However, I don't think I would live permanently in the US because I think life is better in Canada overall. We have free healthcare, so no medical bills and no health insurance to deal with. Only a bigger tax bill that doesn't change according to your health situation. We have much less crime, especially gun related crime. We have less poverty and a much better social safety net. It horrifies me how many Americans are homeless even if they previously had a good job, but they had to stop working because of a health condition. We have less political extremism and polarization. Extremist Christians have no control over our politics, so LGBTQ+ rights and women's rights are much safer here than in the US. We don't have cities being burnt down by antifa on one side, and elections and social peace being jeopardized by MAGA extremists on the other. On a more positive note, I love the weather of the US, their fast food joints, their local food, the landscapes, the cheaper gas and all the attractions. I really wish the US could solve all its problems and become a better country. Maybe one day, we could end up similar and open our borders like Europeans do with the Schengen Accord.

Quebec...get right. I was born in that hell-hole and as an English kid growing up in the highly separatist east end of Montreal my childhood was miserable. The french are so bent on having their own little country they treated anglos like dirt. Try driving east towards New Brunswick and stopping anywhere to get food or whatever, you better parlez the francais or you'll be looked at like you a criminal. In your opinion/to your knowledge, do immigrant teachers easily pick up their trade? I'm a high school teacher and am thinking about emigrating. I'm from the Netherlands, so the financial bottom line is pretty much the same, if not slightly better in Canada. I worked for 2 years in the US, near San Francisco, and I miss the way of life, there was just more to do and more nature, I've been thinking about going to Canada because the climate is somewhat more alike to my own, the country is better set up than the US, and I love the nature.

I live in Newfoundland and we barely see any snow all winter, as a proud Canadian who has lived in every province let me help you out. Newfoundland is gods country and there is truly no better place in Canada and Alberta should be ranked close to last.

Don’t come to Vancouver Canada to study unless your family is rich. I run a rental business here and LOTs of international students either live in basements or struggle hard to come up with rents. I don’t blame them cuz this city is hell EXPENSIVE. Also even if you get a degree from UBC you are gonna get a job as a bank teller that pays like $16/hr if lucky. People suffer from seasonal depression for about 4-5 months/year. Better just stay in your country if it is not in the war zone and has relatively good health care system. If you can succeed in Canada you can do it in your home country. Not trying to discourage anyone but just wanna help people make rational decisions?

I understand this fully as I came to Uk as a child 60 yrs ago. .. I feel the same way today. These western countries lack sense of community and neighbourhood... and spend most of their lives in loneliness thus leading to depression. 14 years ago my father passed away and I brought his body back to India .. as he loved coming and spending his retirement years back home in India.\nI miss him so much and also have started coming to india every year since his death.I’m also retired now. \nI have come to understand how people from our countries look forward to emigrate to make a better living and earn money without realising the consequences that this will have on our lives. \nThank you so much for this video.?

With better living standards, people prefer to value personal space more. In a developing country, people needs eachother because they cannot afford to buy everything that they need or want. For example, a poor family would keep their kids with their neighbours or relatives, instead of leaving them at a creche or hiring a babysitter. Besides, developing countries have less occupational and recreational opportunities too. When Africa would become developed, maybe that too will become like Canada.

My father collapsed and went to have his heart-valve replaced at the Heart institute in Ottawa. I paid for parking and needing a place to stay, they allowed me to stay at the doctor's onsite residence. That was it. My father-in-law had his knee-replacement surgery pushed back because more critical needs were placed on the operating room. Healthcare in Canada is a team effort, so treating things like Covid with respect was done much more diligent. Canada had less deaths than places like Florida or Texas. Don't understand where this 80% coverage statement comes from.

I am an immigrant from India. I have been in California for almost 8 yrs. I feel California is quite better in terms of socialization because of very mixed and vibrant communities . And yes strangers just randomly greet and talk to each other on the streets. In fact when I first came to USA, I was surprised to see people just randomly greet each other on the streets..which truly I have never seen back in India. In India we have been taught from childhood never to talk to strangers. And the reality is there are winds of change back home in India too. I am not talking abt the villages. They are completely different case. But even people living in small towns are now preferring privacy. And no.. its not because of foreign returnees. Even people living there for generations now don't want to socialize. Even in India now we have to request kids to go out and play..which to me is a very disturbing thing . All of them just want to sit at home and play games on their smartphones. In fact I find kids in USA prefer playing sports or other activities more than the kids back in India. It actually depends which part of the country u live in.... doesn't matter India or USA .

Sri lankan here, totally agree about Canada. You dont see anybody outside. You only see you neighbors once a week when they put out their garbage or shovel the snow for 9 months. Only 3 months in the summer you see few people here and there. Its very depressing, stressful, and anxious. I've been here for 30yrs and still can't get used to it. I travel.alot and many tropical places are very poor but they're happy enjoying and lively. If my country is not committing genocide and corruption, my country sri lanka is beautiful. I was hoping the country will get better, its been 30yrs and its at the worst situation presently.

Nice video. But that’s absolutely not the complete picture, not at all. Most of the city has more people and houses are right next to each other. After few blocks they have open space, park for kids and play ground. Such as NY city. Go to Queens or Brooklyn or Bronx or even Manhattan. Please don’t scare people! I was born in USA but this man speaks 100% truth. \n\nI feel afraid, lonely , depressed in California. People are mean, rude, cold, violent. So lonely people don't talk to nobody only to fight. Too much drugs. \n\nI'm visiting my parents in Mexico and I like Mexico better. People are very friendly there is crime but not too much. I am Dominican and American citizen. This is SO REAL! We lose so much to win income and things. But LONELINESS is a great price to pay. Here you will lose your identity, your roots, your life , to become maybe more financially stable. I love America, with all my heart, but I realize it is a totally different world. It is designed to work, work, work, and forget about family, friends, relationships. We will get more toys, more things, and more order and organization, less open corruption, but will also have to settle for less life in community, settle for materialism and individualism. Settle for a lifeless life. Loneliness is a very high price for a better car, or bigger house or opportunities. And still...I.love America. My advise, unless you have your whole (or many) family here..\nStay in your country!

Sir I have shifted to UK ..around 5 months ago...I spent around 12 years in Saudi arabia before.\nThe main difference between our country and this country is the PEOPLE.\nIts not the prices..the money etc that makes you feel better. I was earning good in saudia as well but here...its the people..that make you feel better.\nWe booked a hotel here for quarantine and the Pakistani agent who paid for us by a credit card used a fake card number or what. We received a letter from the govt about 2285 pounds due to be paid. Of course thats alot of money for new comers...and as you said there was no payment plan or anything discussed in the letter.I called them back and the first thing they asked me was Are you alright right now? Do you need anything from us? And that was...an experience I never had before in my life. Then they discussed the way outs for the dues.\nSame goes for the jobs..the positions..the hiring...not the SAUDI/AJNABI shit going on at all ! Or the bribes we have to pay in Pakistan to get a basic job !\nThe difference in HUMANITY is big sir...among our countries and these. This is just un doable now. Because the people of Pakistan...alot of them..many in my own family...are still fighting over people like Imran Khan. When they dont want to listen to the problem...how can they come to the solution stage. Thats just..un doable now...you know what I mean...

I'm from Québec, but I love all the provinces of Canada, they are just different from each other, and keep in mind even the worst in Canada is way better than a lot of countries. For me, I see the rest of Canada like family, like cousins. So I love them all. Even the native in the north, I don't see them a lot but hey, they are family too.

Each European country has its customs and values, it’s sad to see them fade away and be replaced, in my biased opinion, with more primitive cultures from the Middle East and Africa. Some practices these regions have are quite disgusting and disturbing. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all pro immigration, but I believe if you go to a better country, I say better because why else you would leave your country, then respect and incorporate that culture, don’t bring your garbage with you. If someone is considering coming to Canada, especially recently, consider this..... The cost of living is high, the cost to buy a house is out of reach for many Canadians, taxes are many and high, government regulations are many, the present Liberal Trudeau government is not Liberal but it is a fascist/authoritarian government, many police are brutal and arrest and imprison people for protesting peacefully, they have fined, arrested and imprisoned Pastors for conducting church service and feeding the homeless, the Canadian dollar is low with less buying power, inflation is high, there has never been such high government debt, the government can order the banks to freeze your money, it is cold, opportunity is not that available, racial discrimination is here and by the government (i am Caucasian), the country is in such debt that we can go broke and the dollar further devalued. Corrupt money laundering is almost accepted by officials. There are better countries to immigrate than to Canada.

This is bullshit, it's not that bad, all the immigrants I know love it here, taxes are better in other provinces and pay is better in the higher tax provinces. It's the same stuff in the US. Like British Columbia has a tax of 15% but better pay, Saskatchewan has a provincial tax of 11% but lower pay and it works like that, we let people keep their country and culture here and alot of this is more untrue than true. We want people to teach us their culture and we teach them ours, Canada is a country built off of other cultures and original cultures into 1

Everything is relative. People move to canada thinking it is better than their home country. At the time of moving it maybe but the home country improved and become better than canada. so people move back. China is a good example. You should look at stats coutnry by country who is moving back, family vs singles

Better to settle in a Muslim country

I actually don't object , particularly, to my high taxes in Canada. I do object to the fact that it took me , 15 extra working years to achieve a reasonable income due to the cost of an education being beyond my reach. Now that I have a reasonable income, I find those high taxes spent poorly. Dental care and extended medical or medications? Not covered.\n\nSo where do these high taxes go? Comparing my tax rate to the functional half of Europe's countries, it's about the same, more or less. \n\nBut they have better health care, affordable education and housing.\n\nAnd as others have pointed out, despite living in the biggest city, it's still relatively boring to many of the Major cities I've stayed in globally.\n\nI recommend Canada to immigrants who would enjoy a Rural or Suburban lifestyle that still has access to amenities and infrastructure. There are more opportunities in some ways, and the costs of living are much more affordable. But if you are interested in an urban life with what that has come to mean globally, the best Canadian cities can offer you is 'diverse restaurant options'.

Let me tell you something from my own experience, and at 82 y.o. a have plenty of it. If someone chooses a country into which to emigrate, he or she makes a choice to accept the conditions and adjusts to them. Canada is not a place to baby disgruntled outsiders, but gives them a chance to become Canadian. If you expect anything different, you don't deserve that chance. \nI was born in Vienna, Austria, emigrated with my girl friend to New Zealand, got married there and created two new little Kiwis, and after 5 years we packed up our family and relocated to California, where we brought up our son and daughter as Americans. We'll never forget our Austrian heritage, and are forever thankful to the friendly Kiwis for the start in life they gave us. But, once we decided to move to the US, we accepted the life style of our new neighbors and tried to fit into their society as well as we could. When we reached retirement age, we bought a modest home in Oregon, where we still live now and proudly fly the US flag on appropriate occasions. For the privilege of choosing your country, you better show your gratitude and your worth.

Canada is very immigrant friendly in terms of accepting immigrant to come yes but why ? well because immigration is a big business for this country who has not much technology export and in the same time is second biggest country in the world with population less then California alone . Somebody has to pay the rent and who is better then new comers cause they are well , new and don't know anything lol but after they come here with false hopes and everybody from all directions rip them off well , they loos all the savings and if they are lucky start working at Tim Hortons lol with high rents and cost of living lots of them choose to go back and I am not talking about people coming to Canada from very poor countries like all the Filipino's , for them working in Tim Hortons with minimum wage is a big achievements lol I am talking about people from middle class countries and above . Immigration for Canada is a big money maker and who gives a shit if they go back after a year or 2 , they already contribute to government's by loosing their money and working like a hors for couple of years and pay 45% taxes . Listen any country which is easy ( kind of ) to immigrate its because they need money and cheap workers . Can you immigrate to US or Denmark or any other European country as easy as you can to Canada ? the answer is no with very big N unless you have some thing they don't or need and that thing is not money lol

Canada is like 3 countries in one, so it really depends where you are, especially if you wish to talk about culture. Im guessing you are in western Canada because that part is one of the youngest parts of Canada, it doesnt have much culture. Tho if you are in central Canada (Ontario) you'll most get a blend of american and english culture. The place where hawaiian and canadian pizza invented. Ontario is obsessed with pizza. \nTho the Eastern part is where Canadian culture is at its strongest AKA French Canada. Thats where most Canadian traditions like the Rigodon music and traditional food comes from such as: Pâté Chinois, Tourtière, Poutine, Donair, Poudigne Chômeur, Tarte au Sucre, Tarte au Fraise et Rhubarb and so on. French Canada even has its own version of french, its so different from the rest of the world that when a when they meet they wont understand half the words each sides say. French Canadian is based on the old french of the French nobility tho it completely disapeared in France during the revolutionary era because everyone that spoke it got executed. So french Canadian is basically a unique language now, i can totally see it getting rename as Canadian the language of Canada in the future especially of the west does indeed seperate. But right now its called the Joual. \nI hope i helped you fineeladies in having a better understanding of Canadian culture. \nIn a nutshell: English Canadians dont have a culture while french Canadians are extremely cultural.

Not sure where you ladies migrated from but the healthcare in Canada is terrible for a country that calls itself wealthy! What is more important in life than health and getting timely access to services. I have had to wait 6 months for a simple ultrasound, my friends had to wait a year for an MRI, more than a year to see a specialist of any kind. Not only that the administration procedures are backward where they send an appointment letter by Canada Post (not kidding). \nTaxes are extremely high! I know doctors who make decent money pay close to 55% of their salary in taxes. Housing in Toronto and Vancouver is sky high and you may be working all your life to afford a 2BR condo. \nMy advice is unless you are coming from a country that is down right terrible (Eastern European, Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc.), it is better to stay home. Additionally, if you think you will ever get rich in Canada, then you must get your head examined by a neurologist first.

all true but you forgot the fact that thier is more money in canada and better life style that back home, i respect canada the country that give me so much and taking shit about it is caward move, if you don't like it simply go away and ask to revoke your canadian citzenship.........
