I'm a black lady who also has feels compassion for these people hoping they get the help they need to have a better life. But I am against any type of crimes they may commit. But my prayer is that God would have mercy upon each of them. Jesus is real

The problem here is everybody is blaming these poor people that want to come over for a better life and opportunity to get away from a corrupt government that has them in poverty, with no hope of prospering! But we look at it in this country as troublemakers coming across the border and that’s not the case not to say that there’s not people that won’t make for trouble who are in that crowd but overall just good, hard-working people who are getting ready to probably be treated very poorly once they get here And if that’s not enough, but you can never fault someone for picking up a job. Americans won’t do and trying to make their way under the most heinous of circumstances. Maybe we are the ones that need a heart check❤ there are things that people have had to go through to be in this country for a normal life like floating on a raft for over a week or walking through 100° desert ? mountainous, terrain with children, risking their lives, or having to cross tumultuous rivers, Some will never know the hardships and the desperation, that others have had to endure in this life just for a hope of the better tomorrow less the sorrow ?❤ we take things for granted in this country not realizing that we truly are the Promised Land that everyone is seeking ❤

I am Canadian and from the Atlantic province Newfoundland and they don’t care here and they make a lot dumb laws like not to far they made a speed bump in a road when there is no need for one but near a school where there is almost 200 people next to busy mall and road and this can make a problem people can DIE but they don’t care they just make dumb chooses like that speed bump like I have said before

All I see is a lot of desperate people. They are running for their lives. It's tragic. But we can't take them all. We have our own homeless on the streets that need help. We can't rescue so many people. It's heart breaking.

These people all need lifetime bans from USA.

The foreigners want to blame America for not letting them in. How about blaming your country for such difficult situations that you feel the need to leave your country? And for everyone (legal or undocumented) who thinks we should open our borders to everyone immediately, you should sign up to house and feed these people. And don’t ask if they committed any crimes because you don’t feel they are important. And for all the people who come here with no invite but the others have to wait in line, you should be required to do community work for free to pay back the kindness and not be given any assistance or tax credit at the end of the year. But you should be allowed healthcare access like everyone else. The first child can be American but none after that.

There needs to be a global standard for countries. If the people of your country want to leave that bad, you’re doing something wrong.

How can America keep taking them in, it cost so much money to house them.Many Americans need help and are homeless. Veterans are homeless, and many people in poor areas need job's, food etc. I want to see everyone get help, but America must help their own first.

Adjust gdp for services and government and the true state of canada appears, i will be dead as the decline continues but my poor children and grandchildren and yours will have a much less fullfilling life than my and previous generations. Canada needs a vision, we have all the resources and people, BUT NOT THE LEADER to see it.

I’m pretty sure the problem with Canadian housing prices is we allow too many foreign investors to buy houses without living in them or often even renting them. This leads to it being extremely difficult for everyone to find homes despite the fact that we have many vacant properties. Honestly we need to just outright ban people from but houses that no one lives in.

Apartments are high in price bc there is not enough housing and people will just pay whatver a landlord is requiring bc they have no other choices. We also live in a capitalist dictatorship where everything is based off what ppl will pay for it. Ppl will pay for outrageous prices by getting roommates bc that's better than being homeless. So many ppl need housing that a lot of apts are on the wevsite for only 1 or 2 days before being rented. The real problem is actually wages. Housing has gone up with inflation. Property managers still have to pay for things when they are broken or even for cleaning an apt after someone moves out. All of those prices has gone up, so its not like Property managers are raising prices to screw over ppl. They do it bc the cost of everything is going up. The real problem is wages are not going up.

Maybe if they put that much effort into fixing their homeland they wouldn't feel they need to be here. They gonna be in for a surprise when they find out the roads ain't paved with gold here. You make more money but you pay way more money to so what's the diff. I'm for freedom and humanity and I believe in helping the needy but at what point do you draw the fckng line. We can't even or wont even help pur own people we need to do that b4 worrying bout rest of the world. America doesn’t mine sticking it’s nose to far away countries. Why don’t we stick out nose into Mexico and help those people so they want to stay in their own country. live in fear everyday. Maybe it’s because the drugs that come out Mexico is also lining some of our own Governments pockets. If something bad happens for us to run to another country to safe harbor I hope Mexico tells us to kick rocks. Look how we treat other people. We all need the same things in life to live. Also it's so many veterans, let alone U.S. citizens that are homeless and now us as tax payers have to worry about our money going into immigration funds to feed, cloth and house them, smh. The Venezuelans have been going to each and every country, they have been boldly going into trinidad and claiming that trinidad belongs to them. There are millions of Americans who do not have food to eat the government is not helping their own people with food, Rent or a place to live or health care. I hate this so much. I know it’s not these peoples fault that their countries aren’t helping them but America isn’t even helping its own people. Imagine how it feels to be from the US struggling and then these people come and somehow our country has the means to help them when they won’t not can’t won’t help their own. What other country do you know of where you can just decide to cross their boarder demand help and say you know what I’m just going to live here illegally now. And if we don’t help them they have all kinds of ways to sue the state and demand help even though they’re not even citizens. That’s what’s crazy to me. They make you do a bunch of stuff before you can travel and some countries won’t even let you visit let alone live there with or without a criminal record but these people can just walk right in. Any countries borders are important they are there for protection. Ours are not being protected which means the country is not protected. I just don’t see this turning out well for anybody, not them not us. There is a scene from the titanic that I’d like to relate this situation to. The scene where Roses mom is in the boat with that other lady who has new money the chubby one. She wanted to let people on the boat that were drowning around her, and dude wouldn’t let her. It wasn’t because he was being mean it was because if people started holding onto the boat and trying to get on the boat they would panic, and eventually everybody would swarm the boat. The boat would not have been able to hold the weight of everyone holding onto it. Well the same here there’s people who are already drowning, and other people from other countries want to come here, but all they’re gonna do is sink the ship, and then there will be no help for anybody and everyone will be doomed. No I have nothing against people coming here but not this way. I welcome anybody that wants to be here to work but not this way. America has its our own problems and the citizens pay taxes that are never used to help them. Instead the government gives money away to other countries like it’s nothing.
