Canada is owned by thirteen wealthy families, they are greedy and self serving. If you come to Canada and see ten different grocery stores - they are all owned by three people/families. Everyone works together to keep the wages low and depressive. They also are the lobbyists for government officials who regardless of party - seek to find wealth from other countries when their term ends.

Canadian here. Canada is a pointless sh!thole. You might as well move anywhere else, like 31% of new immigrants do. Rampant street crime, businesses are little more than fronts for organized crime, homelessness is on the rise, food, clothing, shelter and fuel are unaffordable, your average citizen pretends it’s not happening, unions are corrupt as hell, as are universities and the government. All the hallmarks of a decaying, braindead, decadent civilization are there. Women are mostly little more than worthless whores, men are mostly debauched fools if not homeless, we’re plagued by censorship, surveillance, CIA-type dirty tricks, transgender mania, an inability to think clearly, and magical thinking. Plus the healthcare system no longer functions or even gives a damn. \n\nIt’s little more than a slave state swirling the drain. Our government makes decisions such as sending millions and millions to Ukraine in order to promote a pointless war, get the better part of a million people killed whilst making sure people at home are deprived of the basics.\n\nOur government officials have maggots infesting their skulls. It’s the only explanation.\n\nWe’re fuc!ed.

Canada, the land itself and the wonderful wilderness is second to none.\nBut the culture and governance have robbed my country of all opportunities except selling houses and drilling oil.\nNo innovation, no competition, no growth.\nIts insane that a country born on third base can stagnate this badly.

I suggest come here if you can find a good high paying job . Rents also crazy high . New comers leave after they can’t afford to buy a house . When they say there are plenty of jobs they mean like Uber driver or labour jobs. Know Trudeau even said we let in to ma y people the system can’t take it anymore .. heck even I could have told u that ????

They show a lot of grocery stores when they talk about monopolies, but it’s in everything. When I was getting my internet set up I found out only one of the two main companies in Canada is provided for my area (they do this on purpose). So I pay over $100 a month just for internet. And literally have no other cheaper option other than living with no internet. (I’m in a small town so there aren’t even any cafes or anything to pop into). And live alone. Another thing, we’ve got a big country, and I live in a rural community, so most of my colleagues drive at least 45 minutes to get to work, one way, because they’d rather live in the city. And this is NB so you can’t take public transportation like trains to get here, you’re driving on the highway to get here. Since the pandemic houses have more than doubled, I did get a raise, but it was I think 4% over the last three years. So cost of living is definitely increasing at a much higher rate. Before the pandemic I could buy a week of groceries for one person for $60, now it’s more than $100 for a week easily, and that’s with looking for bargains and reducing the amount of meat and fresh produce I eat. It can’t keep getting worse, because people already can’t afford it, so something is going to have to change before everything breaks completely.

How can people shop around for a new country without respecting the people who built this country and complain about it like they have the moral high ground. 10 years ago before mass immigration the crime was very low so think ! Third world country folks will try to land a PR (permanent residency) in Canada (by masquerading as a 'student visa') as a holding ground. Once they obtain it, they will try to move to the USA on a work visa. It's a loophole being exploited by Indians, Arabs, and Filipinos. Non-third world country folks like and Mainland Chinese and some South Koreans & Japanese, will do the same on living in Canada then find ways to move to the USA from Canada. Sorry, but Canada is turning brown. California, New York, New Jersey, Illinois are filled with Indians and middle easterns, and same goes for most of Europe. I've worked with so many Indians and Arabs, after their USA work visa is over, so they move back to Canada and continue to work remote. It's no joke and infested with third world folks.

I am leaving Canada too after 25 years. Moving back to Europe end of December \nYes I feel like I wasted 25 years and have to start everything all over. Being a single person can’t make it anymore ?

The thing about Canadian experience is so true, even for Canadians that live abroad and then come back. I spent my 20s living in Japan and when I moved back to Canada I had such a hard time finding a job because all of my experience from the past decade was overseas. It’s taken me about 6 years to get stable footing here again but the rising cost of living still has be feeling a bit uneasy at times.

The other areas that experience the housing Price shocks are places also where foreign students tend to flock to, especially those from Asian nations like China.\n\nCanada’s BC Vancouver, Edmonton, Manitoba, and Calgary tend to cater to willing Indian, Pakistani, Central Asian, Hong Kong Chinese, Singapore, Japanese, Malaysian, and Taiwanese parents willing to spend big money to educate their kids in Canadian English language programs that the Canadian governments organized with educators. \n\nSpending well over five figures a year in order to educate these young kids to grasp English and eventually have a pathway to citizenship like South Africa’s Elon Musk. Canada sort of sucks unless you love winter sports. Its freaking cold, and I mean take what you think is cold in western Europe or US and multiply by 10 then add endless snow for 4-5 months of the year. So yeah that doesn't help

This is very true. Living in Canada means paying more for pretty much everything except healthcare than Americans. Just groceries are close to double US costs, as well as gasoline and telecommunications services

They need a CAREGIVER in the house one to one or in old people facility [ care home ] When I came to Canada 55 years ago I worked as a dishwasher 1$ an hour and climb the ladder from there. Does this apply in all provinces in Canada, or its peculiar to specific provinces, besides what jobs would or could be easily gotten according to provinces? I'm an optimistic person, however, I wana believe that specific provinces might not have the luxury of providing some of the jobs you mentioned here owing to certain factors. From a U.K perspective Canada was seen as a paradise in the 90s. A perfect combination of anglo and European culture with non of the negatives of the U.S

Canada is a mess. All they build is luxury condos that most can't afford. Food is sky high, and greedy politicians don't seem to care as long as they keep growing their own bank accounts. The corruption is starting to really show.

im in Canada and its awesome, always had tons of good work, income, services, safety, my own farm ect... if you're willing to earn a good life, you get one. i assume ppl who dont like Canada, dont like providing value to others and want everything handed to them.

Canada has very high tax with little work opportunity. Canada is only attractive for third world countries who wants to live in a decent society. But sadly they bring the same hell from which they come from and bring different values which are not secular or liberal. Sooner or later it will be a mess like UK or Sweden, where a different society will demand their religious ways. And Canada is just allowing them without the bother of integration. \nBeing a former Pakistani, who is liberal, I can tell you that most of the people do not have any intention of integration. And a very large percentage of the homeless population are people with untreated mental health disorders, because there's no effective mental healthcare in Canada and it's almost impossible to get disability for a mental health disorder.\n\nMany people don't have health insurance, and if you don't have health insurance, you can't afford medication, which is incredibly expensive. Which means your disability increases. It's extremely hard to get a family doctor (I was on a waiting list for 3 years before I finally got a call, and I've been trying to get an appointment with a specialist for over a year now). The hospitals are telling people to stay away unless your situation is dire. The food banks are turning people away because they're running out of food.\n\nAs far as I can tell, the government no longer cares about anyone who isn't wealthy.

The only things growing in Canada are the lines at food banks and people living in tents or cars. This is the result of a policy of overtaxing, overborrowing and overspending. Thanks to incompetent and irresponsible overspending by the government, Canada will become a pathetic country of impoverished beggars at the mercy of government handouts. Spot on. Moving to Canada was the worst mistake of my life. I wish that I could go back in time and get all the years and resources that I have invested into settling here... Canada has had a great PR internationally, and Canadians are too polite to complain, so I had to learn it on my own after moving. Good that the truth is finally coming out. Everything here is deteriorating FAST.
