Lol I also know what it’s like to skip meals to pay my rent, but I can’t “go home” because this is where I was born lol. Welcome to the club yall

Then leave. Canadian citizens also can’t afford to live in their home country… sad

A massive reason for inflation is mass immigration. We don't have enough housing. We don't have enough jobs. We have a terrible government who has destroyed everything. I would appreciate many going back home

Just talked to a guy from Kenya ?? who saved everything to move to ?? and is homeless now. He said back home he had a ? a job but the county isn't very stable so he ? he'd move to ?? and now kinda regrets it.

Anti-liberals should be happy as immigrants are being forced home thanks to the Trudeau fiscal policy

What do you expect when you increase people’s mortgages to double figures like literally 220%? Even a lot of my sensible family friends who are recent immigrants, who are well-educated and well paid are looking to move because even with family income of 300000 one can’t afford a detached home and crazy expenses like groceries, utilities, scammed insurances, dubious healthcare, unnecessary taxes. Rather move back home, have a house maid for cleaning, cooking, ad driver for your car and can expect better social lives with families and friends, get decent increments every year just have to put up with the crazy traffic, pollution.. At least you will live a decent life and not make Canada Govt and its banks richer!!!

Perfect we have too many. Go home.
2023-11-25 0
Support ALL Canadians.. you guys just came here,, we've lived here out whole life and can't afford a home for our FAMILIES!! And we have been paying taxes for 30 years, my family for over 100 years... you are getting an extremely good education that you wouldn't get at home. Why do you deserve a home more than the rest of us??

Well done. My family can be traced in Canada to 1807, or earlier. I have lived my life in the same Province that I was born. And the main objection a Canadian citizen might use to consider moving away is because of the high rate of migration, both legal and illegal. When population was 32M we allowed 25K legal migrants. At 40M we are expected to absorb 1M new migrants into a system that has sent most manufacturing jobs overseas, abused taxes and Parliament and many existing social systems are used to support the added burden. So the reason resident Cdns may seem standoffish is because the addition of a new migrant makes their job that much harder and further reduces the chances of home ownership or having a family. In one Province the average legal immigrant is able to import 23 members of their immediate family. In a Province of 4M, there exists Medical identity Cards for 8M. The country is divided and there is nothing which brings unity. The decline in morality has spanned a new generation of corruption at all levels

Very fair and balanced commentary on Canada in 2023. Like you, I've lived in a few countries, and while life is comfortable for me here (only because I own my home from years ago before prices started going insane), I'm looking at exiting due to some of the factors you mentioned.

The problem is the US, we need to fix our problems at home with immigration first!!!! \nWe have immigrants on the waiting list, doing the right thing by following the law!!! Waiting in line to have there case and situation heard.\n\n Immigrants from the 60s 80s never got free housing free food were never allowed to enter the country the way the immigrants today are just entering and they're staying in 5 star hotels in New York City never in the country's history has it been seen.\n Never in the country's history has resources from US citizens been given to immigrants I have entered illegally.\n And now if you are from Venezuela you're ahead of the line ahead of all the people that've been waiting to legalize their status these people are just getting documents faster than everybody else why is that.\n We need to fix the situation in our country first and take care of the people that are in line doing it the right way.

What the hell. Go home.

If these folks are wanted in their home country, why are we harboring them?

Send these ppl home and stop accepting migrants fr these places

You lost me at #2. It doesn't get talked about much because it is absolute nonsense. East Asians make more money than White Canadians. Culture matters. Two parents in the home matters. An inconvenient truth. Nine of the top ten countries from which Canada draws its immigrants are non white. Is that something a racist country would do? Let a generation pass before you complain there aren't enough poc in top positions. Are you supposed to run the bank the day you arrive? A qualified, capable, hard working poc is the most privileged person in Canada. And there has not been a single body unearthed at any residential school. Sorry lady, you are way off on this point.

Very pathetic situation to see that Canadians don't have home to live., West now atleast should look into their problems and rather poking and dictating other country. If this situation continues very soon Canada would become unfit to live...

Shame on liberal govt . ZERO PLANNING only spending money . Home crisis & inflation I shift to Canada by Justin T & Jagmeet singh . Shame

Why I see so much white race being homeless? Whereas all the immigrant are being able make good life. Homeless can be over come without depending on government. You have rise first and then crowd will follow you. Government can give you home and food but not peace in your mind.

We are screw, we are already over populated... and we have no more money to give to people who stay at home and doing nothing

No affordable homes, no jobs, too high cost of living, no adequate health care. Broke and broken citizens

Diwali vacations ending is a reminder of the irony that we leave a warm home, loving family, old friends, ghar ka khana, laughter, giggles and a million memories to move to a lonely, locked house and cold food… in search of a better life.

Simple!!! Go home!!!!

You seem like an intelligent young man. Imagine the energy you have and are planning to give out to your colonizers and before that the slave masters of your Ancestors.\nAfricans have no dignity and so, you will most likely feel unwelcome wherever you go in this world.\n\nhome is home. use your skills to add just a pint to Zimbabwe's story and God will give you rest...\n\nYoung Africans wasting their life forces trying to get accepted everywhere else but at home. So sad.\n\none day your Children may be fighting to work or immigrate to Zimbabwe in the next life.... These white dudes crafted their destinies... Black folks should find a way to find theirs and forget the shortcuts that have turned them into unwanted guests everywhere... Australia? WTF when Many parts of Africa are Paradise... Sad sad sad... But it's ok. Everyone has a right to lose or gain honour.... See China, See Japan, See Singaporeans? think these guys wanna go was buttoks for old white folks? Nahhhhh because their papas chose honour and dignity over convenience....

you took good decision but still it is possible only if your parents and relatives support you. i know the same case where one boy went to canada and struggled alot and he was even not having enough money to pay rent so he stayed in shelter home for almost 3 months and then he decided to come back to india. He came back to India but his real sister and some relatives used to taunt him by comparing others who were staying in canada. His sister used to quarrel with him everyday and used to say that he should die because he wasted his parents money. Unfortunately, he committed suicide after listening harsh words from his sister everyday. Now he is not among us but he was really great and hardworking guy who worked hard in canada but due to lack of support from his own family he committed suicide. Therefore return is not the only option , one's decision should be welcomed by family members also.

Politicians letting housing become a speculative asset making homes like investments neglecting the citizens. The rate race to become a landlord made Canada behind in terms of innovation and standard of living

Great for this Gentleman but how is one person allowed to own 150 homes, when we have a housing crisis in this country?
2023-11-13 0
This advice about back home is why they are not developed back home..\nHere in canada.you pay for services and that's why there is development,\nIts is the free life that we lived in africa that affected our mindsets of paying for services..\nPls if you cant pay for good life and environment stay back home.

Same situation in the UK. You don’t feel like home, system will take your money! The only rewarding being in the UK or Canada is the Citizenship!

I live north of brampton of DT Toronto i use to work the east end of Toronto. I get burnt out from driving to work 2 days a week really fast, becase traffic and our transit system is just terrible, it takes 2 hrs for me to get to work and 2 and a half hrs to get home and recently my work place was cruel enough to replace me with someone thats cheaper. Toronto is deffinitly not a good place to move to if you don't love the city

East or west home is the best

This is why i stay on the move. At anytime, these will just walk into your home. This invasion is bringing the worst gangs to The US. You don't want to be sitting when it hits.

I'm from Asia and recently moved to Canada with my family to live a slower-paced and safer life. I've seen firsthand that the drug problem here is worse than it was back home, and they're being coddled with no plans to discipline or rehabilitate them. I asked my friends how I could defend myself and my family if a random drug addict broke into our house and stole our belongings; could I at least beat that person up until the police arrived? They said you couldn't because you'd be charged with assault. It's funny. \n\nApart from the crimes and exorbitant living costs despite living in a rural area, even Canadians who have lived in the country since birth are struggling to make ends meet. \n\nSome positive comments, Canada provided me with a work-life balance that was not possible in Asia due to the competitive nature of the corporate world. So I had time to spend with my family, and you don't have to travel abroad to see beautiful scenery. Canadians are also very accommodating and friendly, in contrast to where I came from, where people will not help unless it benefits them as well. The Canadians here are extremely friendly. So Canada is great because of its people, but I can tell you that the government consistently makes bad decisions about how to solve certain problems, such as drugs and harm reduction strategies. Another issue is that they do not recognize internationally trained professionals, which could have helped alleviate healthcare issues in our area, where we have many internationally trained nurses from the Philippines working as restaurant servers and janitors. We have doctors from Kenya who have to work as general laborers and in other odd jobs where they can use their profession and experience to help people. I am also an immigrant, but the government should strategically distribute us based on our qualifications. I chose a rural area because I don't want to add to the number of immigrants in big cities and instead want to contribute to the local economy by bringing my skills and experience to the pool. \n\nCanada is a wonderful country, and I continue to believe so, but the government must reward and do more for its people who are trying their best to make this country great.

Born and raised Torontonian here. I lived there for 39 years before moving North to Barrie. I miss my home city but I'm happy where I am now

Who supping them with mean to get here? After they got here you think they would become desperate, maybe even violent. I blame the governments in America for this. My plan would be bring are troops home to protect are borders not some other countries

I left my home land 30 years ago because of lack of opportunities, cold weather and high taxes!

good\nthe more immigrants we invite the higher the populations and the higher the costs of rent go and the worse the housing crisis gets\nmost people here are living in tents, vans, shelters, or crammed in rental units run by slum lords, or living in a home they can't afford and will likely end up losing to the bank\n\nour government doesn't seem to be interested in helping it's people just helping greedy corrupt systems\n\nwe are losing our abilities to have free speech too or even share news clips anymore either, they fear people coming together as a community again to stand up for ourselves\n\nfood prices are unaffordable too and it's insanely cold\ndoes this sound like a place anyone would want to live\nour government sucks

Better to be safe than sorry. Keep your weapons of faith at home…the university is a place to commune cerebrally, an exhibition of weaponry is absolutely unnecessary no matter what your personal faith requires.

This is a matter of shame. The honorable thing for the Government of India to do is to bring those Indian citizens back home starting immediately. India has experience in evacuating large numbers of its citizens stranded in other countries for various reasons and circumstances. Here are two of a number of previous evacuations carried out by the Government.\n\nOperation Safe Homecoming (February 2011)\n\nIt was an operation launched by the government on February 26, 2011, to evacuate its citizens fleeing from the Libyan Civil War. The air-sea operation was conducted by the Indian Navy and Air India. Eighteen thousand Indian nationals, working in Libya, were trapped because of the unrest. After the evacuation of more than 15,000 Indian nationals, the operation ended on March 11. \n\nEvacuation from Kuwait (August – October 1990)\n\nThe airlift of Indians from Kuwait in 1990 was one of the biggest evacuations carried out by the country. The operation was carried out between August and October after Kuwait was invaded by Iraqi forces. Around 1,75,000 Indians were evacuated.\n\nAir India found its way into the Guinness Book of World Records for carrying out the largest number of people evacuated by a civilian airliner.\n\nSource: indiatoday online article by Bijay Kumar updated 12 October 2023

I am a Toronto Native, a nurse that used to work in Critical Care at Sunnybrook, but moved to Dubai as my husband received a job offer. That was more than 10yrs ago. I must say that every time I visit home, things are definitely worse. I notice that ppl are very negative and also rude. It's quite startling. I also see how much the demographics have changed as well. The city is also dirtier and not as pretty. I can say that if I ever returned, I would consider Vancouver, somewhere outside of the city, or on the island, but for now, I can say that I will never return to live in Toronto., We will go someplace else like Mexico where it's close enough for family to visit and it's close to home. Btw, Toronto is NOT the most diverse city in the world, it's Dubai, and UAE as a whole, where 85% of the population is born outside of the country.

Nova Scotia has one of the highest crime rates in Canada and lacks in the schooling system in some aspects and has the highest cost of living among Canada but I wouldn't change anything about my home province
2023-11-07 0
They don't want you to stay anyway...The system is set up to bring half a million every year of immigrants loaded with the cash to inject in the Canadian economy...once their cash ends...they should go back home broke after they have wasted the life savings of a family...

To be honest, i have second thought as well of leaving Canada... i love Canada but i find it so hard to live.. not jist extremely cold weather during winter but you have to chase your hobbies as well and the way of living here is supee high...
