when you are coming from a place where there is absolute poverty like India than Canada is a heaven. If you have slightly reasonable lifestyle outside canada as in Singapore than it’s much wiser to stay there

The irony of you immigrants complaining about Canada... The cost of living is what it is because of YOU. The rent and real estate prices are where they are because of YOU. The job prospects are what they are because of YOU. The fractured social landscape and destruction of traditional Canada happened because of YOU. I was born in the UK but went to Canada as a young child with my emigrating parents in the early 1950’s. Later we emigrated to the US in 1963. I know I would not enjoy the cold winters of Canada at all anymore if I lived there. I lived in FL for 20 years which I enjoyed except for the hurricanes and rapidly increasing home insurance. I live in North Carolina now where the winter is very manageable. I hope you are able to find a place that meets most of the needs you want to find in a different environment. I am very sorry for what is happening in Gaza and like you I believe it is a terrible Genocide by the Israelis. I am not Muslim and do not belong to any organized religion. I just try to live my life in kindness and with love for others. I love nature, animals and our beautiful earth. You mentioned, Halal, food access, you live in the GTA, which has the greatest amount of Halal food access available. And there’s a fair amount of masks. Think of the people that live in areas where there are no mosques and they have to drive 3040 minutes to get to a Mosque or they have to find a Hello butcher in the city or in the country somewhere because there’s no hello restaurants or groceries where they are. You guys live in a great Muslim area in Canada but I totally understand why you wanna move and have that environment around you 24 seven.

If i may suggest you to go check my country Indonesia or my neighbor Malaysia. You can hear calling for pray 5x a day, mosques are everywhere, halal food also everywhere. A lot of choice of education for your children, generally or Islamic ones. And most important thing is the people and government against genocide. We don't have any diplomatic relationship and never acknowledge the state of IsNotReal. Also 1 more thing, living cost here is relatively low compare to Canada or any other countries. I find it so amusing that Canadians always have to preface everything with self righteous boasting about how multicultural they are, how their city has a world class this and that—in this case—film festival etc. etc. I have never been anywhere in Europe for example where first anyone even mentions Canada much except to say that there are a lot of trees. And no one in real cities with a culture like Paris, Madrid, Berlin harp on how world class they are or how multicultural they are. Also, in terms of immigration, give me a break—you have obviously not travelled anywhere—go to Berlin, Paris, New York etc. to see people from all over the world. Canadians have been told through the internal propaganda that Canada is the best country in the world—but it’s not.

Hello from Montreal, it’s totally unfortunate that the country never planned for a population increase. Land is so expensive to even consider building low cost housing etc. There are other places to live in Canada other than Toronto and Vancouver but I do understand the high costs of living.
