Well I will tell you that I am an immigrant with Canadian citizenship, I have been living in Canada for almost 12 years, and I have decided to leave Canada to live permanently in my home country Peru. The reasons why I will leave Canada are mainly the extremely high cost of life (the rent mainly) I have lived in Toronto for almost 7 years and until now I am renting rooms because it's the only space I can afford with my current salary. The other reason is the health care service, as the lady in the video mentioned, I have been in the waiting list for 2 years to see an specialist and until now nothing. I got used to the weather, the people, the snow, I have my own car but it's sucking me almost CAD$1000 per month among monthly payments, gasoline and insurance. While in Lima Peru the cost of life is almost a third part of what it's here. The food is cheap and the quality is high (everything is organic in Peru). I will keep my Canadian job and work remotely from Lima and I will live like a king¡¡¡¡¡, I miss the food, the beaches, the amazing social life and with my Canadian passport I will be able to travel anywhere in the world once a year ..... now that's what I call living the life .... I am so excited¡¡¡

People can't control their kids and nextly they don't apologise for their actions...once i had a privilege to travel with such educated idiots..omg the kids r little devil's and they spilled juices food water and everything on seats and on front n back row passengers but their parents didn't even care to apologise...i didn't understand what kinda people they were ..like which uncultured stupid planet they belong from

I was never an immigrant. Born in Canada probably 6th or 7th generation Canadian. And I'm sure I am not alone when you here the struggles we had. Do those immigrants think they should have everything just given to them. Well it seems that way and Canadians are starting feel that this is enough of the whining and complaining about their struggles. Shouldn't have come here thinking that everything is free.

Basically, Canada decided to wear shoes way bigger than its size. Accommodating so many immigrants without any robust planning and management was a gamble that backfired the country. While i understand a country with a weak demography requires young population to contribute ti fuel its economic engine, lack of job creation and superficially overpriced real estate are the ticking time bombs waiting to go off and go beyond control soon. \nOne thing that continues to amaze me is the tolerance and acceptance of Canadians towards failed policies of its government. The protest against vaccination gained traction, but no real voice against a problem stressing every Canadian on daily basis? \nCabada must stop comparing itself to the US that has a very well planned immigration system seeking the most talented professionals in their respective fields. Canada, on the other hand, doesnt care about the quality.\nPeople have started coming to terms that there's no merit in embarking upon a life changing or rather threatening misadventure to leave everything behind for Canada. It just doesn't make any sense

The big problem is that we are using immigrants to populate rural areas and they stay a few months then leave for bigger cities were everything is more costy.

Immigration should be matched with jobs available in the economy and housing availability. Liberals have targets for immigration for the sake of having targets that they think will win them elections but like everything else they are wrong here too

It isn't just the housing market that is in crisis due to mass immigration, it is everything. Why pay 40% taxes when I can't even find a family doctor? Or have to wait 12 months for a simple medical operation? There is a reason skilled workers are leaving the country. Replacing doctors, dentists, financial experts with cab drivers, skip the dishes drivers, and fast food workers...what could go wrong.

I have a stable IT job in Ottawa still cant get a doctor appointment, meanwhile, refugees get everything from day1.

Once oil boom went out things got harder in Canada. Technically only old money made more money and very tiny new money made money. Just things got worked in. Tech pulled in and now its entertaining. Things are as they are and growth is finished. Everything is gone get old and we might see squeaky doors like in old western movies with tumble weeds blowing by adding more propped up sitting against the walls in crumbling City's. This is not entirely unlike what women experience. If you go to the Indian consulate in Canada, you would find they behave similarly. The situation has improved a lot compared to 2015 and 2016. I lost my passport in Canada and was living 300 kilometers away from Toronto. When I went to the Toronto consulate to get my passport (now everything is done by BLS, but it wasn't the case back then), the officer, despite knowing I had all the necessary documents, insisted I obtain an unnecessary police document related to an FIR. I was surprised and pleaded extensively, but was still told to go back and return with the document. When I returned, the police officer told me they don't issue such documents. I went back to the consulate and was still denied. I protested there for 20-30 minutes. Eventually, with the same documents I initially presented, I obtained my passport. Such incidents used to be quite common.

Career growth is slower, compensation is much lower and taxes are higher in Europe than in the US, but there’s better work life balance in Europe because they put value to it. It’s the culture of many to prioritise work life balance. In the US it’s just an option or something to be considered if it doesn’t jeopardize top management’s goals. Not everything in life is money though. So depending on your priorities, Europe or US will be a better place.

I live in canada and used to think, may be i am the only one facing all these problems and feelings of that emptiness, doing everything on your own, no jugaad, and the drugs issues etc.etc..i agree with you for every single word you have spoken...i see some people judging for your returning to own country and giving importance to own mental health
