‼️‼️‼️Reality is unemployment and shitty governments so far. There are things which only people know who are migrating. Khalistan is just a distraction used by government to make people look bad from Punjab.

The people that come here thinking it is some easy life with gold paved streets you have NO IDEA. My mom came here when me and my sister were still very young. We lived in a tiny town my mom worked at a cannery and motel cleaning rooms. She worked 5 jobs before she saved enough to move to Toronto. We lived in a shelter for mothers and children in Toronto. We finally settled in affordable housing (after long waitlist). Folks be warned, it is not an easy life. The climb is challenging- it is a climb out of a pit up a mountain. The country is beautiful and peaceful but life is not easy. You have to work very hard to make a decent life for yourself.

We heard that people who came back to India they are going again back to Canada, reason is there is no law and orders, corrupted politicians and corrupted justice systems make your life painful in India

I am Brazilian, also an immigrant in Canada. In my case, in Quebec. I lived similar experiences here too. It's tough. But if it's really your dream, don't give up. Make your efforts and people will help you on the way. Keep on trying and make good loving friends.

I can't talk from a point of experience in Canada but from a point of experience in Kenya. Yes things are tough everywhere but I believe things are tuffer here in Kenya, well unless you have a good job, good business or money to invest. I have done of research about Canada, Germany, UK and even Finland. What I have learnt is that opportunities are there as opposed to Kenya. Here in Kenya it's doesn't matter if you have a skill, or papers getting a job is not easy and even harder is getting a good paying job. Most people makes less 10 CAdollars per day which today 1000 or 30 per month minimum wage in Canada is i guess 14.5 in the less expensive provinces. If you work 14 hours per \nDay which I believe possible you have about uko na 20k in ksh, pay tax of maybe 30% combined you have about 130 cad per day work for 25 days in a month you will have about 3250 net stay in most affordable place(hujaenda raha) you can get 1250 in low cost province (not Ontario or BC though here minimum wage iko juu), groceries and expenses budget 1000 per month you can save about 100k ksh pm, save in Cad for few years stay like a student on the budget but work like a donkey. Come back home in few years lets say 5 with save coins probably CAD will trading at 150 coz the hit shilling is taking mind-blowing. You will have 6m to invest any interest or forex gain use them to cover your vacation here in Kenya yes land in Diani you will have missed such weather, enda masai Mara (you deserve it), go visit your parents and most importantly find an investment opportunity you can do real estate but find ideal location but only if you have enough capital ya kujenga and then find someone professional to manage the construction not sending money to your relatives wanapiga sherehe nazo unatumiwa picha za mjengo za nyumba za wenyewe. Pia farming is underated buy a farm land in cheap area ukambani, laikipia, kajiado, taita etc at max 200k per acre 10 acres ni 2m borehole 1.5m with solar and pump. Development such as fenching and service quarters driplines 1m. 1.5 m is working capital ,use it for labour fertilizer, seeds and seedlings. Divide the farm into 5 parts along the fence panda miti ya eucalyptus, other parts do high value perennial cash crops with less management cost like 2 acres of avocado, 2 acres of pixes oranges, lime, the other 2 plant seasonal rotational plants you can even maize, cabbages io ingine do livestock of your choice. If you want low risk investment buy government bond less stress and you are sure government can never fail to repay their local currency bonds ata ikiwa bankrupt coz they can always print more money. Now rates are very high assuming you can get 10% rates with your 6m your will earn 600k risk free income. Your vacation is over, now go back to Canada and work like a donkey because you went there to work, not a vacation. Second the soil was not great , in 60s-70s it was people of punjab who worked day night to make it cultivatable. It was not only grain. Then these people moved to utrakhand and UP. But still there were lots of people who were ready to put the terrorist tag without even reading the comment. And i feel people need to realise that punjabi youth can not remain silent on the issues concerning punjab and its growth, and if tgey question government and are not happy with their work it doesn’t make them anti national. Also, people feel that distributing these anti national labels is helping our nation, but in reality it is becoming the main cause why communities are separating from each other.

Let alone buying a house, renting isn't also easy, the cheapest now for families is $1000.\nLet's say you make $20 per hour, this salary will never get you anywhere unless you're married or have other sources of income. You need a second job and the more you earn the more you're taxed.\nEven those high skilled people can only live comfortably only as working couple because as a single high skilled person even if you make more than $100k a year for you to live a good life here isn't easy. Yes of course, it's still better than the most african countries, but for those doing well in Africa already don't come here, come when you're hardly earning a living in Africa. \nNB: People who make $100k in Canada are less than 11% of the whole population. That's 4257000 million out of 38.7 canadians. The rest are considered low income generating workers who hardly afford things.

If African leaders would think twice and start developping their own country, sincerely it would be more easier to make money in Africa than any other country elsewhere. Africa is where the money is. How do we know before they step foot in the US if they are convicted murderers or people that have a history of trafficking people? Can anybody interview these people and get a feel for why they are fine with sleeping on the streets and if they know if a lot of the people coming here are dangerous? I've seen 4 interviews all by citizens and they all said they have considered going back home because there are so many cartel people being planted all around the United States. I understand some of these people want a better life and that's fine..just please allow yourself to be background checked enough to make sure you aren't a danger to any of the citizens of this country

the biggest challenge with most people is comfort, threiving abroad requires more than just one job. If you have gone to hustle please forget about comfort. 2ndly if you are going to canada make sure you have someone who is gonna shelter you for a few months as you stablize, or help you figure out your next step and also have a few bucks on you, otherwise you will die on the streets. And then once you find a job, please subsidize the costs, you can share an apartment with someone, cook your own food.\nlastly people should know that much as canada is a rich country, it also has poor people living there.....inclusive of beggers. I don't like Toronto. Tired of the rude people and too many immigrants and high rent. It is overcrowded. People push you to get on board the train and refuse to wait for the next train. I would rather work remotely and yes it is not worth living in. Transportation is not as reliable and too many people travelling downtown and back uptown especially during rush hour. If GoTransit breaks down, there aren't that many alternative options to travel. There are many issues including Internet service is not stable. Yes the pay is not enough yet to cover the cost for a place. They want to build more housing in Toronto but it is the worst idea and will make it even more unaffordable. Smaller towns and other cities are better. Bramption also is not a recommended place to move to. Immigration should be recommending people to live in less populated places.

As an international student, I am currently in Canada, and the grass is not always greener. The narrative spread out there is contrary to the reality when you get here. Sadly, I worked at an agency back home and I regret all the lies I told people, I was coached to do. Don't make the mistake of coming to Canada without the right papers, most people are scammed by agencies through this, and you will have a hard time. Trust me, you don't want to be homeless during winter, it is brutal. Don't come to Canada, if you don't have lots of money, the cost of living here is insanely expensive. If you have a good life in Kenya and earn over 70K, that will guarantee a better life back home than here.

Well, I immigrated to Toronto from Ukraine 27 years ago, and it was a good decision at that time. Learning English definitely makes more sense and easier than switching to a rural Ukrainian dialect, which sounds to me like a mockery of Russian. However, today Moscow looks definitely better. There are also plenty of immigrants from former Soviet Asian republics but no trace of homeless, drug-addicted and mentally sick people, very clean and well-maintained city. Just see some of Alina's videos from Russia. For me, the only problem is the cold climate. Toronto is way more southern, and I became too old to change my life. Perhaps when I retire I will go back to the former Ukraine if my Crimea will be a safe part of Russia by that time.

People in Toronto are rude and soon this city will be like Detroit US not safe to be there .Very very expensive living for nothing special !I hate this city .All Canada is going down the hill not just Toronto .Governament should creat programs to make live attractive outside major cities so the new immigrants can spread and disparse all over the country that still empty ,not all fight for a studio to live in already crowded cities .

I agree with you Lyn,its hard to start life in Canada,changing visas to work permits is very expensive also &need to find a willing employer to start the process(lmia),not easy tho..my advise ,when traveling make sure you have a host on this end or atleast enough money to enable you stay in a hotel .. also people should avoid cities like Toronto which are crowded,personally am loving it here opportunities are many...

I’ve seen people in the US who work and struggle to make ends meet who look worse and far more unhealthy than these people. They all have cell phones and their clothes certainly don’t look like they’re from a donation center. They don’t even look homeless. They must want all the benefits they’ll receive once they cross the border.

My nana is from the UK originally and she has been living in Canada for 40+ years now and still has not become a Canadian citizen, not because she couldn't but because she never had to. She gave birth to my mom in Canada making my mom Canadian. I was born in the United States but since my mom was a Canadian citizen I was also a Canadian citizen. A lot of people like to bring up the housing crisis as a potential downside to having a bunch of immigrants but that just isn't the case. We have one of the lowest population densities of all of the countries in the world, and yet we all choose to live in high concentration areas and those that own the land in and around those concentrated areas know they can charge whatever they want because if you're not near the main 1-3 cities in your province it drastically cuts down on your land's value as far as housing goes so there is no incentive for anyone to build housing out there. Build more houses, we have the space. Figger it out.

Sadly, you have essentially described Vancouver as well. The elephant in the room is immigration. When you count refugees, immigrants, international students, etc. there are about 1 million people coming to the country annually! Even in the 1990s, CSIS even warned the government that high immigration would lead to a housing crisis. And that’s really sad as immigration has now tuned into a net negative for Canada. I personally think it is an invasion at this point. And things are far worse than the 1990s. Honestly, if I wasn’t settled in a place I bought near Vancouver 20 years ago, my family and I would have to seriously make other plans!
