First of all, taxes are not what you say they are. Yes it depends on your income and age. If you're telling me you earn 50K and 40 to 50% of that goes to federal and provincial taxes I'd say ...not so fast. That said why are you not putting this so called forced tax acquisition into RSP's during the year? Yes Vancouver changed significantly after EXPO 86. I also remember being able to walk the alleyways in the dt east side back then with minimal fear for my safety. Certainly wouldn't do that today. As for moving away from Canada. Go if that's what works. If the country doesn't suit your personality, sort it out. Ayn Rand's Atlas shrugged seems a real option to consider today. The problem is you'll never find any country of substance that doesn't take your taxes by force.

Had I never been in a car accident in about 20 years I've been driving in Canada, until one Indian young girl exited recklessly a shopping plaza and hit me head on while I was driving along towards a highway. Canada Government must start Monetary Support to Universities like 75-100% so that universities are not forced to earn money from fake students.\n Canadian Education is very low quality but expensive. Students are paying 3-4 times more than local students as a bribe to get Canadian PR.\n Germany offers free education but to real students.

Please do not let anyone on a study visa with an IELTS score below 7 in each of the sections, also test the students at the border on behavior and other Psychology related issues. This will ensure proper candidates are allowed, who know English and can speak it comfortably. Also train the existing students on skills required to contribute to Canadian labor market that too free of cost, this is due to lack of proper course curriculum required for the labor needs of Canada and practical training availability. Immigration is not just a money making machine, there has to be a vision and proper planning before brining in millions of immigrants who will eventually settle here, but their productivity and integration should bring long term benefits to the economy as is expected from a great nation like Canada.
