Here's an idea: when choosing a foreign country to immigrate to, next time pick a Muslim country. \nThere are 50 Muslim countries in the world. Why pick a Christian one - and then demand it to change for you?

Raised in Ottawa and interned in Toronto 1970-71 after medical school. Left the country in 1977 to set up medical practice in Houston. Best decision I ever made other than marrying my wife who I met in Toronto. The graffiti was on the wall with Trudeau's father as Prime Minister at that time. If you invade and exploit those countries, these people will come to your country for better conditions. Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country. I just wonder where their love of country is. Why not look for ways of improving Canada rather than abandoning her in her hour of need.

I'm married to a muslim Pakistani family my wife was born in Germany, i moved to germany from Pakistan and seeing here new muslims generation is moving towards atheism which is so heart breakign, and they are ignorant for muslims values because they are being impacted by western culture and they turn their faces and ashamed of their deen, i am so happy for you guys and I know Allah will put so much barakat in your decision. Not so many people think about this, they just wanna move to 1st world country just because of luxury and security and better environment but ignore the cons of non islamic countries.

Totally agree with you. I’m a Muslim as well and I don’t live in a western society, I’m living in my country that is conservative and there is none of these woke agendas and liberalism being forced on us, but I do have relatives who live in the US and Canada and they are thinking about coming back for the same reasons you mentioned. They don’t want their children to be victims of these agendas that are being forced on them to accept in schools right now, they are noticing how society over there is failing, Islamophobia and hate crimes against Muslims is rising, and they don’t want to live in a country that sends billions of dollars to support an apartheid occupying state to commit genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians, they just don’t want their tax money to be sent to war criminals. May Allah make it easy for you and hopefully you’ll find a perfect place and a perfect Muslim environment so that you can raise your children. I do suggest you to go live in one of these Gulf states especially Saudi Arabia where healthcare is free, education is free, zero taxes, zero crime rates, and most importantly, you can practice your deen freely and you don’t have to worry about your children.

This hit home on a number of levels. As black woman raised in the Great Lakes of the US MidWest I get the need to relocate which is what we did. Bigotry and environment being chief. I caution you on one aspect that will remain the same wherever you go and that is the issue of schooling and influence - YOU WILL HAVE TO BE INVOLVED AND REMAIN VIGILANT regardless of where you go as no school can replace the foundational structure of parenting and all institutions have personalities with agendas in spite of expressed mission. As for recommendations of where to relocate also consider Suranime where 14% of the population is Muslim. Since I've lived in Islamic lands the world has changed so much that xenophobia against even other Muslims in countries that used to be so welcoming to the stranger but for a variety of reason is also factor you MUST consider. God is good and will guide you.

I am an Australian and have no religious affiliation. I am of the live and let live mentality, as are most Australians. I just don’t want people coming to this country and then tell me how I should live. \nAs you are saying, you don’t want to see how city centres are deteriorating, homelessness, drugs etc etc. instead of running away from that why don’t you try to help? (I hope you read this)\nOkay i have a few suggestions, having lived my whole childhood in Oman i can confirm it’s a beautiful place but Arab country's higher education(college wise) is not that great therefore ,my family moved to India(our roots are Indian) because this being a reason. (Like a lot of families move from gulf countries to their south asian countries for college,having personally experienced as well as my cousins who lived in Jeddah and loads of other relatives)\n1. So pls look for muslim countries that offer good education otherwise you will have to send them again to UK USA Canada for good college.\n2. Abu Dhabi can be a option as well\n3. Saudi Arabia\n4.Qatar\n5. Turkey\n6. Schooling works differently in gulf countries, for example you have Indian schools that run on the CBSE pattern of India, Pakistani schools, Sri Lankan schools, International School with a British curriculum, International schools with American style curriculum, proper Native schools of that country that teach in Arabic.( Again this my experience in Oman, my cousins in Jeddah went to Indian school of Jeddah, so pls wisely choose the school that you want your children to attend)\n\n(this comment is just an opinion, hope it helps. May Allah guide you and your family. We are truly living in difficult times and it is even hard to find a place which is safe for muslims to bring up their young. I would suggest somewhere like qatar as their schooling does not have include what muslims fear, although many schools in qatar and the middle east use the western curriculum and are being westernised. Perhaps homeschooling in a muslim country is the best and ideal solution. I know even non muslims who are fear for their kids now and are moving away ….

Your number 1 reason to leave Canada is something I have been seriously thinking of too. When I first came to Canada it played a peace-keeping role. Gone are those days, it’s tearing me apart, being a part of such a country. I came from India about 40 years ago. And, everyone knows what is the present condition of India. Hello Saleh family, I have been following you for over two years now; I am not american or canadian but a physician and mother of two from a third world country in the Caribbean. I started following you because I was curious about the muslim faith and your way of life. I started following different muslim people (and jewish, vegan, homeless and more... basically anybody different than me) and after some time I saw that we were all humans in search of the same things in life. I completely agree with your decision of moving but was very disappointed in your comments towards the drag community. A person in drag reading a children's book is not indoctrination. A person in drag reading to kids is only teaching them acceptance and tolerance (exactly what you want the world to give to your girls who most likely wear a Hijab). A person in drag is an artist who finds joy and self worth in certain clothes, hairstyles and makeup... it is a person a human person with the same value as everyone else. It has nothing to do with sexuallity or sexual orientation... if we truly want freedom for Palestine, if we truly want to change the narrative and to prevent 75+ years of brutal occupation and racism ever happening again; we have to change the way we see our differences... is not enough to ignore and respect people who are different: we have to accept them and recognize their humanity and their worth; to value and foster acceptance and integration in the younger generations... that is the only way forward, that is the only way we will all secure a better future for our kids.
