The issue here is that students that get permit to come to study but don’t end up studying, the problem with tourist without visa or with visa can come and are permitted to enter n stay for up to 6 months but once they are in, they overstay and break their tourism status or extend it but all along since the start they came to work and never to be a tourist , and probably Canada has it wrong KNOWINGLY OR BY “mistake” thinking they will get revenue from high fees on students and tourism but they get jack all

But it make sense though. when moving in a country that has different culture/and religion than yours you can't expect them to chance their why of life for you. Just like you cannot make Canada or any other none muslim country muslim it also applies to some muslim countries as well. you can't just move into a muslim country and expect them to change their culture so it matches yours(To Christianity) for example. You either get assimilate or you struggle unless you succeed. Of course you should have freedom to practice your religion and beliefs.

You have very good thoughts, ideas and remarkable iman, but a warning to you that you will be EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED when the true reality of the world, especially the Muslim countries hit you. I lived in Canada for over 20 long suffering cold years. My rent in 1982 in Kamloops for a large two bedroom appartment was 105 bucks a month. Then when I moved back to Toronto and got an apartment right on Young at Grosvenor our rent shot up to a tough 620 bucks a month (all utilities included) but I was making a lot of money so it seemed like the good life. I wonder how expensive that luxury high rise is today? Probably about $4500 per month would be my guess. Canadians don't like to talk of the negatives in Toronto, but I feel really sorry for some of my family still there. My mother in law broke her back. All they could do is give her pain killers for the four months before she could get penciled in for surgery. And that was before it all went to hell. It's nice to see so many shots of places that were once so much a part of my life, but in all honesty moving to the States was the best thing I ever did. It was in fact like an escape from madness. Now similar crazyness is here, even on the South East coast of the US. Time to look for another escape. Any suggestions?\nOh, and my friends cousin got murdered in the Jane and Finch area years ago. Most people are not saying no to immigration. We do need some level of immigration. \n\nHowever, we need to slow way down to catch up and make up for the massive immigration of the past 6 to 8 years. Bringing more and more people, when we don't have the infrastructure or the economy to support them, is doing no one a favor (except big companies and landlords). Immigrants come here with the promise of a better life but end up stuck paying 2700$ per month for a closet in Toronto, working three jobs and 55 hours a week where they make 3400$ a month. The housing situation is the worst it has ever been. Rates are high, average cost of house in Canada is now above 750k CAD while the average salary is around 54k. Those are not sustainable figures. We cannot keep accepting 500k people a year, with hundreds of thousands of international students on top of it. \n\nI'm sorry if it ruffles the feathers of some liberal thinkers, CEOs, big slumlords and university boards but this is not a sustainable model. We've been going down in standards of living, despite paying heavy taxes. Something needs to change.

There are many international students who are not going to school or studying. They are taking advantage of loop holes in the Foreign Students Act that lets them take on jobs and work towards getting permanent residence. Some are using the educational system, but not all. They are taking advantage of our legislation to jump the que in obtaining permanent residence in Canada.

The huge wave of immigration is making the Bank of Canada to keep on increasing interest rates to fight inflation. Since the demand for commodities by the large swathes of new immigrants far outstrips what Canada can supply. The roads and highways are overcrowded, the emergency waiting time in hospitals is over 8hrs since the medical infrastructure is not able to cope with the demand by the huge population.

Don' know when you were growing up, but public transportation in the last 10 years got a lot worse. In theory you're connected and the network is there, but delays and problems make using it very hard. As a career professional from overseas, what is the point of migrating to Canada when they don't even want to recognize your professional experience outside of Canada? That defeats the primary purpose of migrating.
