We don’t have a right to the land. There comes a point that after so many wars you must lose your land. This has happened since the dawn of time. Wars happen borders change. Compared to America, being a disabled person in Canada is a dream. I lived in TO without a car for 5 years. You can't do that in the USA. Ever. Taxes are lower as there is an ancient infrastructure which is never updated (see Florida Condo meltdown, Texas power grid failure 2021). I've been waiting 6 years for one and there are people who have waited much longer with no relief in sight. \nHousing is unaffordable. A decent (nothing special) one bedroom 1 bath apartment is around 1600 a month and this is a largely rural province, not a metropolitan city. \nHomes are being bought as fast as they go on the market at extremely inflated prices by people moving here to escape the more populated provinces. This has raised property taxes by 20% in the last 2 years.\nThe economy is in shambles. Homelessness is exploding and the government seems uninterested in fixing it in any realistic or helpful way.\nFederal and provincial income taxes are nearly 50% of your income (44% for me and a bit more for my wife).
