why did you leave a nice economy, and high quality of living like Singapore to come to Canada, is there anything better in Canada than in Singapore ?

Did you not check out Canada before you came here? Plus I choose to come to Canada I abide by the Canadian culture yes I hate the winter but it’s better than living in fear. Go back home I wish you well take the hat with you.

I immigerant to Canada 2008 and lived in Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver. I realized I was in the wrong place. 2013, I ran from Canada and never regretted it.\nShe is 100% right. While there might be wonderful places to see, and interesting people to meet and food to eat, I would never even visit there for more than a day or 2.\n\nSome times traveling by road, it is faster to drive through the states to get to other parts of Canada, and that level of visiting would be barely ok.\n\nYour government is actively making it unsafe to be alive there, for so many types of people. I don't think it's just a Toronto problem. It's Canada problem. All new immigrants that is brought by our government are settling in Toronto and Vancouver. That's why rent prices are ridiculous. I hope it worked out for you man… as a Canadian, I can say that as much as Canadians love to pretend like we’re super open and welcoming, that’s largely not the case. I’ve witnessed some really disgusting treatment of immigrants first hand, and I have a lot of friends/ coworkers who are immigrants from Latin America and the Middle East, and I’ve heard a lot from them about the micro aggressions that they get from Canadians everyday, the dirty looks they get when speaking their native languages in public, and the immense pressure to assimilate. What you were saying about feeling like you’re always reminded that you’re an outsider in Australia, I also hear that a lot from immigrants here in Canada… I hope that Canada can be a better place for you, and you can feel more at home here, but the u fortunate truth is that the idea that Canadians just welcome immigrants with open arms and that everyone is welcome here is largely a myth… a lot of Canadians unfortunately are just xenophobic, racist, nationalistic dickheads and they’re not shy about it

People came to Canada to get away from there own kind and come to Brampton and see there are brown people everywhere ? my friend came from India and he was like what the $&@& . People go were there kind are Brampton all Punjabi. Ever area has there own people. And Punjabi people only move were there family allready lives . They do t go anywhere else that a nother problem.

If I may add 1 more point which made me feel strongly not to move to Canada is the healthcare accessibility. \n\nIt is very important to me and my family and we do not see it getting any better anytime soon. To those who are thinking of coming (settling down) into Canada, please seriously consider this factor before you made the jump. At least you shouldn’t be surprised.

That is 20% that could be supply to the market. \nAdd to that over leveraged investors, rich investors (legit or with money to launder) and corporations that scope up properties and government that takes so long to approve building permits that it is barely worth it to build in Canada, you have a massive unaffordability and bubble.

I find it so weird when they ask for Canadian experience when you just came to Canada I blame the employer they make it difficult for people to get hired and in return people leave to find a job in a different country I did the same thing came to Canada to look for work working in IT and I didn’t get IT job because I did t have any Canadian experience. After two years of working at a job that was not even what I studied I left Canada and found a job that I studied for I got a good job in America Long island New York and never looked back……. I get paid double then I would have if I had gotten a job in Canada any way ….. forget Canadian experience it’s not worth moving to Canada the country has changed. You pay more for everything in the states you get things for a lot less . Car insurance in Canada is so expensive……… do t get me started on the winter ?

Never mind. For one that leaves there are 50 in line waiting to immigrate to Canada. In a globalized world you can live where you feel more comfortable. Some Canadians and immigrants move because they can not stand those looong winters. Some move because they think Canada is too liberal. But at the end of the day , you must adapt to Canada. Canada, its weather and polices will NOT adapt to you.

Very good objective video. I grew up in Toronto and had many great experiences in the city as well as commuting from west Toronto into the city for five years of high school (grade 9 to grade13). At an very early age I used to fearlessly ride buses, street cars and the subway system with no concerns of crime or potential violence in my mind. I wouldn't suggest this now for a young person unless you have 2 or 3 marshal arts black belts in your resume! The very same circumstances exist in Vancouver...quite possibly x's 2. My family and I now live a short distance east of Vancouver, but the city has changed about 10,000% since I lived there from the late '70's to the late '90's. I don't mind saying that I believe most of the problems/issues in Toronto, Vancouver and many other cities in Canada have been accentuated by poor policy decisions at all levels of government...municipal, provincial and federal...particularly since 2015 aka the J Trudeau era.
