People who cant be happy in Canada can never be happy anywhere ?

One of the top issues is being black. Seen as black and identified as black when you leave a predominantly Black Country. \nWhen I watch the various Realestate shows of white people buying property abroad as second home or just packing up and moving. I always say it must be nice! Because the reality is they can see them self almost everywhere unless they choose to go into a remote area then that’s the only exception but even then as long they learn the language and respect the culture they are good they are liked welcomed and even seen as fascinating. Not saying they don’t have to struggle but the colour of their skin is the least! \nAmerica is great if your trying to be self made, be your own business owner, and other random ventures you want to dabble in. But to just go there and be a regular teacher, doctor, lawyer, engineer to the low and middle class you’ll end up with the same financial issues and struggles as a result. You gotta now cater to the rich and famous wealthy people but then it’s back to never being home and not enough time for family. \nThe reality is if we could make the money we make here in North America and Uk back home in in the Caribbean and specific countries in Africa it would be a dream come true and that goes for other communist countries too. You truly have to know what makes you happy. Make money but enjoy life it might mean living below your means even though you can can afford a bit better life style. People do it all the time back home (not because they want to I know) but for some reason when you move abroad a one bedroom for your single self is to small, the car under $24k isn’t good enough, you don’t want your kids to share a room so you need a bigger house and the list goes on and on. \nCanada is boring if your not in a major city with money to spend you know why? Because people forget the population of the entire country of Canada is only a 3rd, 4th, 10th of the population of certain countries that immigrants came from and in the case of the US population it’s 100x more than Canada. So of course there’s more opportunities there. \nAnd finally imagine if more countries didn’t need visas to travel? They really would just come to make money and go back home or live bicoastal. Even just the freedom of travel half of the immigrants would of settled elsewhere before the year was up or go back home.

After listening to all these people speak. I can tell you that family and community is number one. Human beings gravitate towards each other. So if they could bring that community with them to Canada they would be happy. All they want is security, peace and acceptance. No one is saying I want to be in Canada because of $$$$. It's the peaceful environment and ability to feel secure.

We only have one life to live. And I have to admit to you all, we are in this world but we are not of this world according to the Holy Bible. We can't fix all the problems the World has and/or satisfy others. We all know that. It is your (one's) Life. It is best to make the best of it, as long as it is for a good cause. This is where we as humans should and always ask God the Almighty (including Jesus Christ our Saviour) for continous Wisdom in our prayers for continous guidance and protection to live a Life that is either a good or great happy healthy rewarding peaceful blessful lengthy life. I left for GH a couple months ago from Canada and decided to extend my stay...let's just say I'm a bb learning how to walk but DEFINITELY more happy and blessed than I was back home ??‍♀

I left Canada several years ago...too cold, depression, racism high cost of living etc. Im very happy in the country of my birth great weather natural foods etc. I feel balanced here. I still keep my Canadian citizenship and visits sometimes, going back to live in Canada hmmmm not sure maybe. Its a beautiful country clean and welcoming but for now Jamaica is my home?????

What do you want to achieve with your video? At times it looks like a genuine cry from the heart and at times, your words are too harsh on Canada. First, seems you only lived in Vancouver. Would you have the same feeling or solitude if you lived in a more open space like Toronto, Montréal or St- John where geography is totally different. You speak of Vancouver as being an suburb of Seattle. Friend, it’s North America and there’s one culture, one language, one type of city. You can’t wish Canada were a Spain, France or Italy lookalike. If you want a taste of Europe in Canada, then why not move to Québec. With New-Orleans, Québec city or Montréal are the two places with the more European cachet. I understand you like the proximity of European cities and countries and I’m happy for you that you now live in a city where you feel alive and happy. But please, don’t take Canada for what it’s not: Europe. It’s an extension of US. as for weather, it’s a northern country and Vancouver is the London of the west coast. Rainy but mild.

I listened to your chat. I did not appreciate some of your reasons for why people leave Canada. First of all life is what you make it. There are lots of things to do if you are interested in being active. Canada is a very beautiful country and there are lots of places to visit and enjoy. \nYou need to educate yourself about what people are paid in the US and Canada. The minimum wage is a lot higher in Canada. I suggest that you leave Canada and then you will appreciate what a wonderful country we live in. Go to Trinidad for example and buy groceries ...pay over a thousand dollars a week for food, then tell me that food is too expensive in Canada. (25.00 for a box of cereal)!Go to a hospital there and you will wait for a whole day just to be seen. Yes, we have a shortage of medical doctors and nurses here, but they are trying to fix that. Sure we pay taxes, but if you or someone in your family needs a heart transplant, a knee replacement or whatever, you will get it FREE in the hospital, and while you are in the hospital, your bed will have sheets and pillow cases. Drive your car on the roads in Trinidad and the potholes will ruin your tires, not to mention the frame of the car. Your taxes also maintains parks, roads and bridges for the safety and enjoyment of everyone. The government has no control over the weather, so complaining that it is too cold or rainy is up to mother nature. During the lockdown I am sure you received money from the government to help you, everyone did. Do you think other countries paid their people money to help them get through this crisis?? NO!\nI love Canada, it has been good to me and I never regretted emigrating here 42 years ago. I go traveling to other countries and I see how other people live and I am happy to come home. Appreciate what you have or if you are so unhappy, use the passport that you said is so powerful.

I'm American born of Haitian descent and I think these type of videos are annoying. I find that Africans/Nigerians love to country hop while adding little to nothing in the way of cultural and social betterment in their temporarily adopted countries. When I travel it's out of a genuine love of travel versus constant economic movement. Stop expecting that one country is going to give you everything that you're looking for. There are pros and cons to living anywhere. Happiness and fulfillment comes from within self and not always geographical borders.

The depression you get in the winter is so bad that it affects you physically, mentally and spiritually. Canada has changed for the worst over the years. It no longer is a paradise for the poor immigrants. Heavy Taxation, bad healthcare system, corrupt government, extreme weather condition, high cost of living, boring, work and life imbalance, discrimination, traffic and the list goes on. There are still few good things left though. We are happy to be leaving soon.?

I haved lived in Ontario Albert and Saskatchewan. My favorite was Albert sad we moved but I'm happy where I live now witch is manitoba. Those many be the facts about Manitoba I love it here winters are not that bad and people here are so friendly you get treated like family and were I live in Manitoba it's like everyone knows everyone to me it's safe and home.

My wife, my 3 kids and I used to like Vancouver but not anymore!!! The weather is why we plan to leave for good but also the expensive rents! I also heard about horror stories at many hospitals (and yes, I have worked in Africa and to be honest, Africans hospitals are way more functional than the ones in Canada in terms of human aspect… there they care, Canadians do not give a shit about anyone!!! And I am saying this as a Belgian!!! I have some African colleagues at work here and at least 80 percent of them either want to go back to Africa (one is actually going to start an Afro business there and build his own house) or move to Europe (one of them plans to live to my homeland Belgium and two others in France as apparent the pensions there are way better than the Canadian one) as soon as they get enough experience in canada! None of us at work , including me, want to retire or get old here in Canada! For me personally, it is the Canadian extreme loneliness and lack of willingness to open to others that really shuts me down… I am fed up and and tired of paying taxes in a country where some (not all) hospitals and some retirement homes treat patients like … objects, not human beings! I now understand (as before I did not) why even some of my African colleagues are looking forward to go back to Africa or to some of them, immigrate to Europe! .. none of us want to be left alone and depressed in this so highly individualistic and unfriendly, falsely “cool” country called Canada… a country that claims America and France are racist countries when not even one CEO in Canada is coloured! I am also fed up of Canadians being cool!!!! Cool???? Yes, their humour is crap and they are all too serious… not astonishing why so many end up being depressed or on meds to be able to function! \nLast: I am fed up with 1. The stupid credit score system which makes North Americans anxious and frustrated!!!! Stupidity does not even exist in France or Belgium where I am from! 2.food is Canada is … not good…lol… really close to being bad! 3.the country is boring… reason… people are so disciplined and nothing happens!!! I just miss Europe even if we are far from being perfect and I prefer our imperfections to the Canadian perfect society which end up making people boring and annoying!!! 4. Canadians are shallow compared to us Europeans 5. Their transit system sucks if compared to Europe 6. In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Eight reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to Asia. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same thing. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada, not live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too expensive, too cold, too depressing, very high taxes, no jobs, xenophobic people . . . a horrible place.

As hunting goes, we get some of the most varied big game species in all of Canada (Black bear, Moose, Elk, White Tail Deer, Forest Bison, Woods and Plain Caribou, Wolves). Good for you. We left Canada in 2011, wishing we had left earlier. Moved to NYC then California, maybe Texas next. I came back for a visit in March, could not believe the Covid rules. About the drinking, loved downtown Georgetown TX, you can get a traveller and walk around town and people are happy and friendly

Ok. I think the 1st reason says it all. You were not happy.\nI moved to Canada (Montreal and then Toronto) from Spain (Barcelona) and it has been nothing but positive for me. I could drive earlier, studies were so much more practical, I had asthma and it went away (lot less air pollution), jobs were better, bigger houses, less people. Don’t get me wrong, Europe is great but I love Canada as well.

I am a Registered Nurse in the Philippines, then migrated in Canada in 2014, and become Canadian Citizen in 2020. I tried to be a Nurse in Canada, but it was extremely difficult.. Fastforward, I got to enrol in a bridging program for International Nurses in 2020 in Ontario and I was so happy! When I was about to start the program, COVId hit and they cancelled the school.. Not knowing if I could secure a seat in the program (the usual waiting time for the seat is 3-5years!) I decided to just moved to US and work as an RN.. But I really miss Canada, planning to live near the border, but the rentals are 3-4x expensive compare to US! Canada is becoming more and more expensive too.. ?

Oh man, this all sounds very worrisome...\n\nI've been working together remotely with one of Sony Pictures Imageworks's supervisors and she's been super happy with me and my work. She's switching companies soon since she found an even better opportunity elsewhere and is already making steps getting me on the team. She starts the hiring process in August.\n\nShe said I should fix a holiday visa and that if the company is still happy with me after 12 months they would most likely sponsor my stay. So yeah, everything seemed pretty solid!\n\nBut now that I'm watching this video I'm getting scared that I might be missing something that wouldn't allow me to work there.
