People came to Canada to get away from there own kind and come to Brampton and see there are brown people everywhere ? my friend came from India and he was like what the $&@& . People go were there kind are Brampton all Punjabi. Ever area has there own people. And Punjabi people only move were there family allready lives . They do t go anywhere else that a nother problem.

It's obvious that you have never lived outside of Canada. Canada is probably one of the last countries in the world that accepts people for who they are and has a decent level of respect for belief systems. I get that you want to raise your children in a better environment, but trust me when I tell you this... you are walking into a world of disappointment. Canada itself is about 15 years behind other countries when it comes to this downwards spiral you are speaking of. Sadly, you will find out soon enough that this utopia you want to find, simply doesn't exist and you will discover you have left the variable comforts and safety of Canada behind. I'm not trying to burst your bubble, but am simply sharing what I discovered when I searched for the same things. I think L. Frank Baum said it best.... if I ever go looking for my heart's desire again, I won't look any further than my own back yard. If you are lucky in life you will discover that the world doesn't stop turning for you, and that the world that you dream of for your children must be created from within. That being said, it is good to travel and trying different ways of living is a wonderful education for your children. Just remember to shield your hearts and stay positive if things don't turn out the way that you hope they will. Best of luck and stay safe.

Many of your numbers are wrong sweetie. Here are the facts;\n2 years ago, you would go to IGA (where food is fresh but it is pricey), you would get out with 2 bags of groceries for about 120$. Today, it is 180$ for the same 2 bags. this is NOT a 10% increase... but almost the double in price!\n\nRent, in Quebec province, have gone from around 1,000$ to 2,400$ in less than 5 years, and each time a tennant leave his place, the landlord rise (against the law but nobody can do anything) the rent often by 25 to 40%!!! What I have heard about Canadian policies, they are idiotic - to say it nicely. You are right about the things that you protest about. But, when you go to an Islamic country, will it not be equally painful for you to see how women are slaves to men? You have both grown up in Canada and are truly western. If that wasn't the case, you could never make a video together. The man would be talking in the video, the woman would not be allowed to talk. Interrupting him in front of others would be reason for her to get beaten up. American expat in Germany here. The tax/salary problem is the same here. \n\nEvery cool place has been overrun with people seeking to move there. I say this as someone doing exactly that, so please don’t think this is “anti immigrant” or anything like that; my spouse is an immigrant. The same thing has happened to cities where everyone from the home country tries to move there from the “uncool” suburbs. \n\nSlowly, then suddenly all at once, the affordable housing vanishes, any government appointment is impossible to get, jobs get scarce, and taxes go up. \n\nBig respect to immigrants, newcomers, and to weary, crowded, overtaxed locals alike. There is just no way to preserve any desirable place when x-million people move there.

I read an article recently that Canada is running their immigration like a shady fly by night credit card company. It doesn't matter to them about honoring the terms as long as they can get enough people to sign up. I am a resident with Muscular Dystrophy in a wheel chair. I am exhausted! I work 5 days a week 8-10 hours a day and I do not feel well at all. I have no choice but to work because I cannot afford to move - What I pay for rent in his city is insane already. There is no where for me to go and there is no way I can find a cheaper place. I feel like I am living a nightmare to be honest. It just getting harder and harder and it seems like the people in Toronto are getting colder and colder. There are no social programs with enough funding and disability income is impossible because it doesn't even scratch the surface of rent costs. Food is completely out of control too. It just feels like I am circling the drain and the will end up homeless eventually. People with disabilities are treated very poorly in this province but in Toronto it is especially cruel and cold.

the Canadian experience I think this depends on your skills and qualifications. I have a number of IT friends who are now in Canada and they were able to find a job in a month without Canadian experience. So I believe it really depends, if you are are a doctor, nurse, even flight attendant probably they will look for that Canadian experience...so to make it short, are you planning to go back to Singapore? I am currently working here in Singapore and getting like more than 10grand a month but it is boring here. In Canada surely I will be able to drive and go to different beautiful places and it is near to US and Europe if you wanna travel. Here, wherever you go here seems like the place is just the same and cost of living here I believe its more expensive compare to Canada. Rentals here for a 3 bedroom reaching 4k a month and so on. Anyone who crosses the border illegally for any amount of time be it five minutes or 5 years , it’s a life time ban from ever entering this country again . They have to pass a law like this and have include the ones already here , if you get caught you are deported and never allowed to enter the country legally again period never again. If you want to come legally than all the regular procedures are still in place . First find a sponsor, than get a visa so you can go to the immigration office and get a background check , if you don’t qualify than too bad it’s not our fault you don’t meet our requirements to be eligible to become a U.S. citizen. If you pass the background check and can prove you can support yourself and have a place to live then you get a green card and you get in line while you are in this country and wait your turn to become a U.S. citizen .

What is missing is that many leave after getting Canadian citizenship. So it is a two edge sword...stay in Canada for the prized citizenship. Im single with no kids and it already worries me sending kids to public schools ? This craziness is getting only getting worse. I would love to go to an Arab country to continue practicing as a nurse bc I feel like PK isn't the safest in the cities. But im still looking at my options. It'll be interesting to see where you guys settle InshaAllah!
