I am Italian, lived in Canada for about a year 14 years ago, and since then living in Canada became my life long dream and obsession at the same time. I live in England these days, I work as a Linux engineer and I make more than I can spend. Still I am absolutely unhappy living here, I don't anyone, don't ever go out, I don't feel I belong and likely never will. Unfortunately immigrating to Canada is not an option due to the lack of a university degree, and going to school is really no option for me either. So yes, hearing about these stories of successful immigrants going back home makes me break in tears badly. I'd be happy to take an initial 50% pay cat if I only were given the chance.

This White Canadian way is what needs to leave Canada. I would love to explore the Northern part of the continent I live on, but the colonial country of Canada just has a disgusting influence on this region of the world. I came to Canada when I was 9 years old with my father and sister so in some ways I was young so it was easy in a way for me, but as I got older it hit me being Spanish dominican ?? the culture different it's quite obvious, you're absolutely right people stick together in their own Community or culture, and is kind of hard to make friends, I know Spanish people here in Canada Toronto but they seem to stick to themselves and you were to think because I'm also Spanish that would have been easy for me to talk to them, but is not so sadly, without offending anyone Canada is not for anyone, you gotta be strong, Brave, quick, and smart. Credit matter alot here in Canada or you're nobody, having reference matters a lot or you cannot get anything done, the level of education matter alot here in Canada, and many more.. I can go on but there pros and cons like every country, but in all honesty I don't see myself living here forever I'm planning to move.

Canada has lots of programs allowing you to immigrate ‘easily’, but in my case Ircc simply lost my file and there’s absolutely nothing I can do about that. Some pll are lucky some are not, but the whole immigration process here is a chaos

He is not talking about absolutely harsh weather…where you can not leave door without fully packed thats not 4 months or less you are talking about 8 months in canada…extreme weather, bad food, tasteless fruits and vegetables, no family support, kids living without cousins and relatives, if you want your children to be raised muslim you have to find good muslim school. Its not that easy not for everyone. Its for young people come earn save and go back. A small house in canada would cost you a million which is about 12 cror that loan you will be paying for the rest of your life. If you have a little bit of cash you would be so much better off in Pakistan. Shoppers Drug Mart employees are the absolute worst in my experience for racial profiling. They opened a new store so had hardly any customers, I was shopping for painkillers where there are numerous drug types, brands, strengths (mg), styles (capsules, gel cap, tablets), amounts and prices - all in small writing which takes quite a bit of time to disseminate and decide upon especially when your eyesight is poor as mine is. After a while I looked up and noticed a security guard standing in the aisle watching me. I was shocked and confronted him, asking if he was watching me, to which he quickly denied and left. Was so disturbed I quickly left the store without buying anything and refused to return to that location. Another time I was shopping for an eyebrow pencil where the colour name was printed again in small letters so was spending time to find the one I wanted amongst all the different browns. After I had chosen and started to walk past their counter, their staff member stood with her arms folded shaking her head. This was very alarming as I had shopped in that store since it had opened! So after effectively being accused of shoplifting a $3 eyebrow pencil for no reason other than being black, at the cash line, a white guy sprints out the door carrying a $50 box of diapers! Whatever they are selling at Shoppers or anywhere else is not worth my freedom. They have no right to profile me when it is never going to be me stealing. There are many, many black people who just do not do those kinds of things. We are not all criminals. I have worked in lots of stores and the majority of people stealing are the majority of people in Canada - the white people. Stop living on stereotypes, Shoppers Drug Mart and don't pooh-pooh people's experiences when they call and complain!

The states have a way bigger platform than Canada so their situations regarding racism will be covered more than Canada’s and also Canada hides behind the “it’s such a diverse country” statement to diverge from the issue of racism. Ask yourself this- Which country do you see a wider diverse representation of, concerning the people in power? In Toronto we just had our first black police chief(which was a big thing here) a few years back while in the States they’ve been having people of colour and many minorities in power. Representation of different ethnic backgrounds is an issue here but nevertheless the states still have a long way to go with racism. I love Canada so much but there is absolutely racism that this country will not bother to even acknowledge

Canada indeed has systemic racism for sure. It's not same type of country has origin linear ethnicity such as Korea or Japan. It was built on first nation land in better way than USA. If Canada the county needs immigrants to keep the system and economy works, they start sharing major sectors with proper communities that absolutely respect Canada system their daily life rely on. It takes time, but over 100 years of immigrant culture now should take step properly.

I thought once about immigration to Canada although my economic situation didn’t incentivize me to immigrate. I found myself in a qualified position to immigrate. But when I consulted my wife, she opposed my plan and she’s absolutely right. We’re a middle class family. We have wonderful jobs. Live in our own home and run a small enterprise. Why should we immigrate and start building a new life in a country where the cost of living is insane?!

I own 11 real estate properties in Europe (UK, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway and Iceland), and i must say i don't lease to Chinese, this is not anti Asian at all, because i will prioritize Japanese among any other ethnic group or country. I am also reticent to lease to Black people who are actually from Africa, i have absolutely no problem with Middle Easterners, and as for Whites i will prioritize Swiss then Scandinavians, Belgians, Dutch, Irish, Americans, Germans, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Brits, Italians, Eastern Europeans, Greek, Turks.\nThis is not based on race but on experience. The people i have had the most difficulties with were Chinese, Africans and Eastern Europeans, the ones i have never had a single problem with are Japanese, Swiss, Middle Easterners and Scandinavians.

I know this seems weird, coming from Europe, but I absolutely love North American food culture (Mexico, Canada and U.S.A). Firstly they all drink A LOT of cola and although their food is unhealthy it just taste soooo good? I’ve only eaten American food outside of America and I have never been there, but I hope I can come someday and try some of the fast food restauarants we don’t have here like Wendys or Taco Bell.

In case you haven’t noticed people are dying on waiting lists and those with money go private in B. C. Or go south to the US or Mexico. I am currently in SanJose del Cabo doing physio after my back surgery . Public system wanted me to wait two years for same surgery and I had lost the use of my right leg.
