Canada is better than USA in lots of ways...

Re Indian students as a former teacher I have to also say that many Indian students coning here are lacking the basics. I also found that students educated in US states like Florida and Texas were around two grades behind. Many Indian studenrs here have high expectations but poor background and inadequate English language skills. It is a shame that people are getting into Canada with false documentation and credentials. Also they are enrolling in very dubious schools and it is no surprise that they find life here very difficult. Hopefully the Canadian government will take greater care to see that only suitable candidates are allowed to come to Canada as students. Also students from other countries should avoid coming here if they don't really have sufficient skills and should make sure that they are choosing reputable educational institutions. There are lots of private institutions with fancy names. Don't be fooled.

I do not buy this story. I was born in Canada in the 50s into a very modest farm lifestyle. I easily jumped several levels and retired wealthy. I am very happy with Canada.\nThe problem is our housing costs are super high. We are bringing people into the country faster than we can grow infrastructure. Back off on immigration for 5 years, and then we'll be fine. We also need to invest in an overtaxed health care system.\nIt is safe, rich, free and full of opportunities. Canada deserves it's place in the list of best places on the planet to live.

I’m Canadian, my parents didn’t have $28k to give me to go to university. So I’m sorry these ppl think that going to school in Canada is some magic ticket to a successful career making great money, but why should Canadians feel bad for these ppl? Yes u were sold a lie, that North America is some magical land of hope, it’s not, there are millions of ppl in the west who can’t afford university, and have to work their entire lives as janitors and labourers with no savings for retirement, nothing to offer their children, I don’t feel bad thst these ppl are being mislead by Canadian universities, so are we, so many college and university programs are a scam,

Came to Canada from Kuwait looking for a better future. Big mistake, shouldn't have flapped my gums at work, i had a decent banking job with a career and a future. Now im stuck driving a effin truck with a bachelors degree to make slightly above average with 0 appreciation from the public, and a middle finger to say thank you for my 70 hour work weeks. I see my bed once every 3 days. I sleep next to rats and roaches in truck by the ports. Belittled by port workers and customs agents. Barked at by everyone down to a forklift driver. Looked at as lesser of a human because of the colour of my skin. What a horrible life :( My sister has already left and she was a dentist in Toronto. My mom went back ages ago. My dad is the only one wanting to stay to take care of his elderly patients, many rely on him. All i do is pay taxes and hide my money in the business, what a corrupt and horrible financial system.

Maybe you can go fight and help free Palestine, put your money where your cap is. We need to start advertising to stop moving to Canada for the sake of the people living here and the people wanting to move here. My guess is that that won't happen because immigrating is a easy way to make money somehow and the politicians are profting off of us.

They aren't good investments and both a recession and a housing crash are necessary to lower prices. \n\nLet me say something about the housing crisis - it's not immigration. Canadians are overleveraged. Many own second, third and fourth properties that they rent out. Once they have to renew into the teeth of higher rates you'll start to see a correction like what we saw in the 1980s. Couple that with higher unemployment and you have a recipe for a crash. Everyone wants lower house prices -- until we get them. Go try to renew your 600,000k mortgage on your million-dollar house that's now worth $800,000. \n\nHealth care is a problem - but where isn't it? The UK? The US? Many parts of the US are close to third-world countries. \n\nI'm happy here. The rest of the world seems bonkers by comparison. Go ahead and leave.

I will consider myself as a successful immigrant, my son born in Canada is at leading engineering university. My wife fulfilled with her career. I’d like to think I could watch the whole video but frankly within the first 3 reasons people are “leaving Canada” - not something I’ve notice although in and election season I am not surprised this may be getting blown up In conservative press, you have left out any real context. Yep we pay taxes - but you don’t speak to what services those taxes do our don’t deliver. The complaint that employers want to hire people with experience is as old as time. I’m 70 and when I tried to get jobs as a kid and later as a university grad - it was the same story. Whether the job really requires experience or the employer is just using it to keep entry level wages down - that just goes with the territory and also feels universal. Lastly - you speak of “the Canadian way” without giving any examples. What is “the Canadian way” or is that just your euphemism for racial or cultural prejudice? If it is you should just say what you mean and stop bandying ill defined terms around that let viewers arrive at conclusions you don’t intend. So already being pretty annoyed with your Masters degree opinion piece - I had to stop you and move on. You thoughts here are not very meaningful and feel like they are full of grievances and intended to be asking for audience validation of your grievances which pretty much invalidates your disclaimer at the top of the video.
