UNITED WE STAND! DIVIDED WE FALL! Even though the world is burning, we, the people need to stand together, even if some of our leaders go full R-word. We the people, in the west must stand together. Or all is lost.

I support this more than Trump, and I'm sure the majority of Americans agree at this point.\n\nI can't stand the hypocrisy on immigration though. Canada has us as a buffer from a country desperate to get in, and they are still allowed to have very secure borders without getting flack.\n\nWhen America just doesn't want the faucet of immigration on full blast, we are the bad guys.\n\nThe Fentanyl excuse is absurd when it comes to Canada and the tariffs. It's a legitimate concern from the southern border. The northern border has never been an issue...

Trudeau trunp has no allies... that is the damn sad truth for the American people, too. Sad day, & yet another day I'm embarrassed to be an American. I live in this state of shock, though I shouldn't be. He's a f'n moron. I hate this man who is supposed to be the president of the UNITED STATES. He's done nothing but cause chaos everywhere. Though I'm not a fan of Trudeau as a politician, on his response to Trump I'm proud of him. He stood up for Canada with force and truth. People will remember that.

Surely you realise Trump is one of the most persecuted people on the planet, unjustly so, and your rhetoric will fall on deaf ears in the whitehouse. They've heard all the nonsense before. But, continue throwing the insults, chuck your toys out the pram, if it makes you feel like a grownup. I don't fancy your chances though.

The conservative wing of our government is scared of Trump. They were a diminishing rudderless party before him, and now they are fully beholden to him even though they know he's wrecking our economy, wrecking our global collateral and relationships, and wrecking our established systems and processes. They'd rather hold onto their jobs than to push back against him. I hope term limits, and rank choice voting come out of all this, because the American government is fully broken.\n \nTrudeau did amazing here.

We are angry - with those people who ignorantly voted for Trump and those people who chose not to vote. Not the people who chose to vote democratically to remain a democratic country. We are clear that his real agenda is to use this trade war to attempt to coerce us into becoming the 51st state. For MANY reasons, we will not EVER become part of Trump’s America. We will collectively fight in any way possible, even though we know it will be tough, to prevent it. We also know that there is a bigger picture in that it’s clear that Trump is aligned with Putin in the push to destroy democracy globally in favour of an authoritarian world order that benefits only the ultra rich. Canada, the Ukraine, Greenland and Panama are stepping stones to that end goal.

I was never a fan of Trudeau, but compared to Trump he is a breath of fresh air. Give it 3 years and 10 months and Americans will be back to sanity. Don't know if America will be in one piece though. After the three stooges have fired everyone, and taken away their social security, and our soldiers dying for no reason against our allies, and the VA system disbanded from helping past soldiers who made sacrifices for this country, while the dollar has lost most of its value, while inflation is through the roof....yes it will be tough. To our Canadian and Mexican neighbors, do what you have to do to inflict pain on the meatheads in America who think Trump is their savior. They need to be taught a valuable lesson.

One of the most beautiful opportunities and privileges of being an American is we can have differing opinions. I respect the opinion of others even though I may have a different opinion. I will say, I would rather our Country gain profit from commerce over taxing its citizens into poverty. I hope all of you have a wonderful day!

The problem with Trudeau, is that he bluffs real hard about:\n- the US being dependent in Canada.\n- Canada's trade with the US for the past decades is nothing but just an act of friendly favour to the US.\n- That the US lifeline hangs in the charitable hands of Canada.\n------\nWell, in reality though, this is not the case.\nThe coming weeks, months, and years will speak by themselves.

Both my sons were born in Canada! I lived in Windsor and Tecumseh, Ontario for 6 years. I love the Canadian people and my in laws even though divorced from their brother (who is deceased now). I wish I could move back! I am ashamed to live here right now!

I see this as nothing less than Trump wanting to do to Canada a slightly more palatable version of what Putin is doing to Ukraine. Trump has openly said he wants Canada to become the 51st state, even though this is a huge ask as Canada has a population larger than any US state (California is close in population size), Canada has a land mass nearly the size of the US and, including water mass, Canada has a larger overall area than the US. Trump also wants Iceland to be owned by America. He has become power crazy during a war because this is his only chance to stoke his ego to undreamable levels. Trump wants to be America's Putin.

As a Canadian, even though I have disagreements with our Prime Minister, he is OUR Prime Minister, and I am glad he is so clearly and strongly saying to the US government and US citizens that we are done playing around. We will pull together, as a country, and come out of this stronger. We are willing to take on short-temp pain to work towards finding new markets and diversifying our trade relationships. The Canadian economy is in a stronger position to survive and recover from a trade war than the US. The US Government in general has destroyed one of the most successful and positive economic and social partnerships in the world and neither Canadians, nor the rest of the world are going to forgive and forget.
