My family goes back so many generations in Canada. I left for 15 years and was forced back during Covid. I am thinking omg ..what has happened to my country. .? I had the same issues as an expat in other countries and other expats who I talked to too. It's always the same.\n\nLanguage barrier:\nFor day to day activities it's less of a problem in bigger cities. For most jobs you simply need a higher level of a language for team work. If you're motivated I believe you can get to C1 in 6 months, with good learning techniques. That said you're probably not motivated. Learning a new language feels like hard work and you feel awkward speaking it.\n\nHard to meet friends:\nSame for all other countries. Create your own social circles or try sports, similar interests to get to know people. \n\nHow people treat you:\nIf you feel unwelcome, it's probably just all in your head because you're not accustomed to a different culture, so you feel like a foreigner. Got nothing to do with Germany, but with being an expat. \n\nRacism:\nProbably less of a problem in western Germany and bigger cities. Avoid east Germany. Also see previous point.

Canada's not the same as current PM has ruined it. Chaos will get worse before it gets better with a new leader to fix it. Immigrant's always entered through Sask because it was the easiest to get citizenship. When term was over they went West or East. There are 2 types of immigrant's today, those who want a chance for better life and adapt and those who want to destroys our values (which's' what what we're seeing today). The cost of living keeps on rising while the quality of life declines more and more every single day. So many young people our age (we're about the same age) who have university degrees and have good jobs struggle to pay rent or even foresee a future where they can own a home. It’s getting harder to live. And a lot of people feel cheated and threatened and they’re taking out their problems on immigrants

It's not really the fault of immigrants or foreigners that you feel insecure both socially and economically. It's the fault of the system that allowed them to enter the country in the first place. They're just trying to survive like the rest of us in Canada.\n\nBut we cannot deny the fact that more immigrants or foreigners means more demand for housing, rent, food, and other necessities, leading to higher prices. People I know you don't want to hear this, but it looks like we may have to fight. Right now, we are in political turmoil and so they feel we are weak and would be the best time to run over us. They're not leaving unless the system puts them in jail somewhere.

It's pretty simple: too many people have been allowed in, specifically from 2 or 3 countries, at too high a rate. Jobs and housing cannot keep up. On top of that, the culture that is brought over is not compatible with current western values. We're forced to feel like strangers in their own country. Crime has also gone way up. This is happening all over the West. You'd almost think there was a plan.

I feel the same about Mexico we’re being extremely invaded. Sometime other people just ruin it. Ruins the local economy, older folks can’t afford to live in their own country, thanks to foreigners.

The ones I feel sorry for are those that have been here for 10+ years that actually had to present some skills to get into the country during the time when we had a more fair system in place. They're also on the receiving end of these sentiments while watching people getting a free pass into the country that come with far less desirable skills and attitudes.

I was born in Canada in the 80s. My parents are from India. So call me racist if it gets you off. My ass is browner than yours probably. \nMy parents, and my uncles and aunts who came here in the late 1970s had to work their asses off to prove they were worthy of even ENTERING Canada, let alone to live in the country. ALL of my older male relatives who came to Canada at that time had a PhD in a science related field or was a medical doctor. EVEN then, they had to go through years of re-training in Canadian schools in order to have a shot at PR. And they persevered and did it, and did well. \nNow, anyone and their dog is allowed in, and it's kind of an insult to all my relatives had to accomplish in order to build a life here. They had to earn doctorates and medical degrees TWICE (once in India and again in Canada).\nWell, that generation did well, and now we're the kids who are grateful and enjoying the sacrifice they put in. What will the kids of illiterate, minimum wage workers be like? Probably not so good.\nCanada's probably done. But does the average Canadian have any desire to do anything. Nope. They used to value hard work and ambition when I was growing up but Canadian culture has become lack of ambition, and entitlements just for existing. \nSo, at least I was raised with the idea of working to no end and sacrificing in order to accomplish something in life. Yep! Feel for you. It's happening here in the UK. To visit Europe for holidays there are delays for days, heavy security, sky high costs. Yet come on a dingy across the channel and you're not checked, not vaccinated, not I'd for criminal record, not age checked, given immediate 4* accomodation, money phone, and now released quickly as Labour want to do. ?

As a Canadian I can say I did not know about this and I'm so so sorry our dumb, terrible dictator is doing this to your country. As Canadians we used to be able to trust that our government would bring in families and refugees and Canadians could feel secure and confident that we were helping. Our country was committed to kindness and helpfulness. Now, they're doing this. They're importing young-middle aged men who take jobs from locals and they give them tens of thousands in cash handouts, they steal our housing and give it up to these people who only want to colonize us. These people do not want our help, they want our stuff and it's heartbreaking to see Canadians grow spiteful and resentful. We are not losing our kindness, it is being stolen from us.

Hmm I feel so bad for everyone involved in this. I don't really want cartels going over the US border but I really don't mind all the people fleeing from countries that are even worse then the US. So many of them have such horror stories from their native countries. And if they're willing to work here I don't think there should be really a problem. I just really wish they wouldn't all congregate in the big cities and would move more to a lot of the rural places that are losing people. The housing is getting so expensive in the big cities I'm not sure how they can afford even stay there.

Canadian here, born and bred in Toronto. Just where are you getting those housing prices for Canada $550,000 per house??! As I live very close to Toronto just to get into the housing market now you need at least $1 million Canadian. I think it down payment now is $50,000 or more. I don’t think you could find a house in Canada for $550,000 unless maybe a live weigh in the sticks maybe Tim or talk to Tuck and the northwest territories.\n\nI have visited America and, I definitely would rather live in Canada. Dear Abhi, I am canadian PR. I attest to the facts presented in this video. Students are suffering and it feels bad to see and witness their ordeal. Healthcare is so bad that I have stories of surgery done wrong and person almost died. Colossal level of mis-management is going on in this country. I am professional and at executive level in corporation, still half the time in a year I struggle to keep up with expenses. I am re-considering my decision to stay in this country. Since the Arab countries and the refugees share a common religion and how they boast about their harmony and brotherhood. It's only reasonable and justifiable for the Arab worlds to take the initiative to welcome the refugees by standing at the forefront of the line. But that certainly isn't the case. That's why they deflect such questions and turn it around on the asker to question their own values. A neat psychological trick of diversion to save themselves from addressing the real issues and questions. \n\nThe refugees then migrate to Europe since they accepted them, and then they try to establish their religious identity in those countries which doesn't even belong to them nor they are a native of that place. This disrupts the harmony on the people already residing there as natives and with time, they push the natives back enough till they're not a majority anymore and these Islamist refugees become a majority. Take the case of Britain as an example. This leads to feeling of resistance and then uproar among the natives. Which is already happening there and so is in France. Then those refugees will demand a separate land for themselves which they don't even deserve and belong to. And hence, it leads to civil crisis, and then, a war.\n\nNotice the pattern?

This trend is concerning, as our talented youth is blindly moving to foreign countries without research, hoping for a successful career. We're not dealing with a surge in balanced immigration drawing from a balanced global demographic. That's nearly universally agreeable amongst Canadians and it likely will never change because Canadian itself is not an ethnic identity but an identity built around shared values. We are, in real time and in nearly every city across the country, experiencing solely a surge in Punjabi immigration. They tend to congregate into tight communities, stack houses with up to 10-15 people in hardly adequate living conditions, and then disproportionately and even sometimes exclusively hire or provide tenantship to people based on ethnicity. Not admitting that would be wilfully ignoring the obvious. Canada is exceptionally inviting of immigrants, especially when they try to integrate and join the broader Canadian society. This recent surge of immigration has been different. Everyone can feel it. It doesn't feel like people are coming here anymore, as much, to join and enrich the country but instead just to enrich themselves and create completely separate, ethnically segregated groups. I prefer when the boundaries between groups to associate and co-operate are as open and mutually beneficial as possible. My family came here and now we are entirely embedded into Canadian culture and fully identify with the Canadian values.

I've seen firsthand how immigration policies can be manipulated. During my time working part time at a new fast food joint in downtown toronto, the owners (who were Indian) hired their recently arrived brother as the manager. Indian's are saying they're too many indians here. Its not a secret. We're completely overrun. I like indian people mostly, they're hard working, they don't live off the system, non violent, and they're polite. I honestly feel badly for them. They are treated like garbage by schools (who are robbing them blind) and other Indians who are taking advantage of cheap and under the table labour. They could do with some respect for our laws regarding distracted driving as I've seen countless indian people texting and driving with their feet on the dash whilst operating an 18 wheeler on the highway..Not exactly what I'd call safe or considerate. If they learned how to drive, and %50 of them went somewhere else we'd be fine. They've completely taken Brampton and most of Toronto over. Its too much pressure on our housing and health care currently. We're bursting at the seams with indian people. It's out of control.

I am not A Canadian I’m an American, but I interact with lots of Canadians as they find themselves coming down here for one reason to the other and I’m not near the border either. I’m quite far into the US in a major US city.\n\nThere are two types of Canadians that distinct themselves. The first group is the ones that are themselves immigrants that are naturalized. I make this distinction because many cases they have not assimilated. They still have their own culture from another country and is pointed out by the narrator people from south Asia and Asia strongly have their culture And language \n\n( Canada is good for allowing people to live in communities to cut themselves off from the main screen. You have people who speak the Ukrainian language Going Back 4 generations)\n\nThen I’m gonna have to use a euphemism that might make peoples hair stand on the back of their neck. I’m gonna call them. The white Canadians has a euphemism. These are people who are going so far back from the British Isles for the most part and the French also speak another language who have no connection to Europe. The English-speaking Canadians who are you from white could walk down or come down to the US and fit right in in a matter of weeks if they’re not already assimilated into the US Culture ( I hope I don’t see any fireworks start coming from this comment) Many of these white Canadians are now more economically disadvantage than the newer Asian and south Asian immigrants and find themselves often times competing for resources with these newer immigrants. Many immigrants more effectively when it comes to investment funds and banking as they formed their own little cocoon communities that don’t interact with the white Canadians.\n\nUnderstandably the white Canadians feel like they’re shut out, unappreciated by the government and now disadvantage and if they raise any protest, they’re called racist and white supremacist. \n\nJust so you know, I am not a white American, but I have an immigrant father from East Asia and I have relatives of my fathers who are also from the same Asian country who immigrated the Canada that I’m in contact with\n\nCulturally when I run into white Canadians, what I noticed is that their diction and speech is so clean clear and polished. It’s almost like they went to a finishing school or a low level class in diplomacy and public speaking many of these people come off like human resource people in the US because their culture is one of accommodation and consideration for other people they know how to be mindful of other people and these are great qualities\n\nYes, the Canadian government is messing up right now and they’re gonna wind up, ruining the social cohesion of their country if they have any and also wasting their human capital

Honestly it’s not that I’m completely opposed to immigration in the proper amounts but currently the were kinda eating a** in the housing department, so it feels as though we’re giving space for something that doesn’t completely exist yet, which is also drowning out legitimate citizens from being able to have affordable housing, therefore causing some sort of aggression towards people trying to get away from they own crap, but everyone needs housing and likes it affordable so it’s understandable. Maybe we could handle this sort of intake in like 30-50 years easily, but we’re filling a bucket that has so much going into it, I’m not knowledgeable on Canadian happenings to know all the intricacies. Though a layman could tell Justin Trudeau is a large contributor to this line of politically charged thinking that doesn’t really think about long term consequences.

There may be some valid critiques of Canadas immigration policy and mass immigration in general; However most people aren’t being sold nuanced thoughtful opinions. They’re being sold discriminatory rhetoric based on fear.\n\nThe crime rate in Brampton is down 27% over the last 10 years. People who are saying it’s gotten worse aren’t saying that because there’s more crime.\n\nIf you’re worried about immigration, I gotta ask, how has an immigrant actually directly hurt you? If they have was it because they were an immigrant, or was it because they were just a jerk?\n\nLet’s not spread fear and hatred about people who look different and have a different culture. White people are not being replaced. Canadian culture will change, but it always has been changing. There’s no need to feel fear. Treat everyone kindly! We’re all messy flawed people and things only get better when we accept each other

We native-born Canadians are becoming uneasy and restive with this immigration situation, but if we voice concerns we're labelled as racist, bigoted or intolerant. In Canada it seems that everyone else's culture is more important than our own, to the point we feel uncomfortable in our home and native land, in which many places are unrecognizable from what they were only a decade ago. Imagine what reception several hundred thousand white Canadians would encounter if suddenly planted in Mumbai! When you next vote, please eliminate this ridiculous Liberal government.
