I am Québécois, and things here are quite different from the rest of Canada. For example, we have a law here that clearly forbids wearing religious signs when in a position of authority. Even a teacher, because they are a figure of authority for their students, could not wear the Roman collar, a cassock, a hijab, a niqab or anything else of the sort while in school. In the streets or any other public place, there is no problem at all. Everyone is welcomed to express their difference of culture or religion in the way they dress or in whatever other way. They are treated with the same respect and kindness as anywhere else in Canada. It is only that the separation of religion and state, and religion and authority is paramount here. Everybody is free and can express themsleves freely. But don't use that freedom to impose your views onto others. \nSo, when American judges are chosen for the federal court specifically because of their christian fundamentalist biases, it doesn't resonate well at all for me or the majority of Québécois. When the rights of the LGBTQ+ community are being questioned or jeopardised. Or a previous federal judgement like Roe v Wade is being overturned for religious reasons... it is a definite turn off for all of the Québec people to even remotely consider the United States as a destination to emigrate to (supposing that one would want to leave our beautiful country).\nMore and more, America, that used to be recognized as the land of the free, appears to be retrograde and restrictive and definitely not so free.

You could offer we Canadians all the money in the world, we would still be living in Canada, your gun toting citizens, your police forces that for at least 40 years have been stopping Canadians on your highways and taking money for trumped up charges, your new president and his cronies and your wonderful health care. So thanks but no thanks, we will remain here in the Best Country in the World and yes we are the best. So when you get fed up with all the bad stuff in your country, you are more than welcome to join us over here

It doesn't just happen in Canada, US, UK, Aus but also welcoming countries like Thailand, UAE.\n2) Indian Visa (to visit India) itself is one of the most expensive and complicated to get for foreigners, so other countries have no incentive to make it easier for Indian citizens.\n3) Developed countries know that if they make it 'easier' for Indians to travel to their country, they will end up with tens of thousands who wont want to go back to India. It is already the case when its difficult to get a visa, imagine the situation if its made easier.\n4) Most of the Indian tourists fall under the mass category, they are not like the heavy spending Chinese tourists. We are not the most well behaved, so till we start getting more affluent, we wont be in as much demand.

As an NRI I honestly don't see what the problem is with this and if anything more stringent measures should be put in place. Look at the state of Canada. Is anyone honestly surprised that anti-Indian sentiment exists? It isn't racist. It's common sense. Behave and assimilate or you're not welcome. This should be a rule (and not just an ideal) that all nations and people should aspire to.

can't give an opinion about living in USA, because I never stayed for long (only for vacations or short visits), but as a visitor, I used to go once or twice a week in the 90's (I used to live 5 minutes drive from the border), as a visitor, I was always welcomed and made friends very easily. Of course, being only a visitor, I didn't have to experience day to day life or any major problems. About police presence, I guess it depends where you go in USA, I'm from Montreal & we also have a very visible police presence (guess it's common in bigger cities). Didn't have any problems with police in USA, like everywhere, if you comply, you'll have good relationship with policemen. If you try to play or disrespect them, you're in for some trouble--no different here in Canada.

as an NRI who lived in US, UK, and Canada, I can tell you that the so called developed nations are over hyped. Yes, there are so many things that are better in these countries compared to india, but all these countries lack one thing. Respect towards fellow human beings. I lived in several states in India, we have problems, but nothing compared to these countries. Indians don't belong outside of india. Don't go to any country out side of iindia...you are not welcome. I came back to india and I am living peacefully.

I’m from Mexico and I lived in Canada for 5 years back in 2009. Back then, Canada was the country where everyone wanted to migrate to. It was a dream. I was so fortunate to have been able to secure a job in a country that I had always dreamed of. I left bc I married my husband and moved to Louisiana. Now, I have a 3 bedroom house, a 2025 new car, three children and a well paying job. I’m not a millionaire, but I have a confortable life. My next door neighbors, moved from Calgary to Louisiana (where I live). This family, has a confortable life as well. I’m so sorry that all this happening to such a beautiful country. Canadians are one of the most welcoming people I have met.

I have seen many Indians in Canadian recently and many of them are very disappointing. I also met some very good Indian too. Only Indians can change Indians. It is not only human behavior. Why is other country people are not hated? Why are too many Indians appear within short amount of years? Why is corruption and crimes come from Indians more than any other immigrants? That is 30000 people who should have been put on a plane and sent back to their country of origin. Law enforcement needs to be hired to find these people and put them on the plane. Another way to help this from happening in the future is through the laws. If you are here on a visa or temporary work permit, you must leave by the date on the permit or visa. Failure to do so will result in immediate deportation from Canada to your country of origin. It will also result in a permanent ban from for life from entry to Canada for any reason. If you have been found to enter Canada illegally for any reason. This will also be a permanent ban from entry to Canada in the future for any reason. The only way to extend a permit or visa is from outside of Canada, just like other countries require Canadians to do under their systems. There has to be a reason for people to follow the rules, and that is the permanent ban and immediate deportation upon failure to follow the rules. Another thing is an person needs to have paperwork to get on an international aircraft going to another country. So why do these people arrive in Canada and now have no paperwork. They must show that paperwork to CBSA or face immediate deportation and a lifetime ban from entering Canada for any reason. People who have followed the rules are fully welcomed to Canada. They should show they are entitled to be here and not break major laws of Canada. If you fail and are convinced of breaking major Canadian laws. You will be immediately deported from Canada with a lifetime ban from entry to Canada in the future. These are rules and laws used internationally by other countries, so nothing is new...
