Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced his resignation. What weight do the words of a guys who can't even finish his term as the leader of his country have?? Obviously, a failure and unpopular in his own country. This guy needs to shut up already.

Why is he still speaking why is he still relevant he's not even supposed to be there, he resigned. He needs to learn that definition and go back to being a teacher so he can learn more

Canada (and many other countries) spent decades supporting the maintenance of US hegemony. Look what it got us? To a position where we're pretty much greatly dependent on, and at the mercy of the US. We need to invest more in our own country and make our own products. We should also trade with other countries regardless of what the US thinks of those countries. Trump wants Canada to put tariffs on China in the attempt to further impede that country's economic growth so the US will remain the economic hegemony. Never mind that a trade war with China would put Canada in an even worse position. Given the current events, I say we trade with China even more!

Hell, Canada doesn't even need to place a tariff on Teslas....no self-respecting Canadian or really no self-respecting human wants a Swastikar, even the new model SS, at any price.

The country that receives products has to pay the tarriffs, so that just means we will have to pay more too. So STOP exporting/importing to/from the US. Period. Trade with countries that NEED OUR PRODUCTS. What Trump seems to try to get at most is the unfair act of the USMCA. Most trades benefited Canada, while Canada refused to provide the same fair trades. Sometimes Trump does say things that may have gone off track like fentyl handling on Canada's end and border handling. It seems like our borders at the time were less strict on the American side versus the Canadian side of the border. Trump did state multiple times that most countries like Canada were unfair to USA. Even with the USMCA, America got screwed by Mexico as will. America has been there helping and supporting and submitting to every country. Yet failed to support our own people when we need it, especially to clear up our own debts. Sadly, America is falling behind due to poor handling of Government Democrat corruption. I am neutral as both parties don't always provide the best solution for everyone. You have to pick who can help the American people. Seeing how corrupt the Democrats has ran America and the defacto behind of all the wars and money laundering has surprised me, and I hope the change with Trump will help everyone realize how screwed we all are in correcting those corruption that isn't really needed.

We *all* need to wake up that the US has, plain and simply, become a completely unreliable partner. With allies like these, nobody needs enemies. As a Canadian who lives in (largely French-speaking) Quebec, I don't know if our gov't even NEEDS to tariff American consumer goods, the people here are already boycotting US goods and companies en masse. EVERYBODY is doing it - and the pace isn't going to recede anytime soon. Even after the Orange Turd is long gone, trust me, Canadians will remember this! The American state has proven it cannot be trusted. Canada is already owned by USA. All our major businesses are American owned. We even sold our Fighters Jets, oil, lumber and natural resources for pennies. The Canadian people need tax cuts. The native Canadians live without clean water in Reserves all across northern Canada in third world conditioms. All the goverment projects go to mafia groups who run the construction industry and tied to federal governments. Who is the bad guy? i lost my job from the government 3 weeks ago, i never voted for trump he has ruined my life and everything i worked for and im not sure i will be able to make my car payment, pay my rent, get gas, hell even get food, i live in maryland and im suffering so much i cant have no fun anymore i have no money to spend on anything i dont necessarily need im literally penny penching now.

Canada already taxes US imports at an average of 25%, so these US tariffs only balance the playing field. All that said, like Zelensky, Trudeau seems to forget that Canada needs the US, but the US doesn't need Canada. He says that it is going to be tough in Canada; true. Let me explain the trading relationship briefly that occurs between Canada and the US for context. \n \nCanada Has a LOT of natural resources, more than our domestic manufacturing base needs (Uranium fuel, Lumber/paper products, Steel and other metals, Fertilizer for farms...etc). Therefore we sell those raw materials to the states where they are manufactured into goods, which we then buy back. a LOT of American service companies like tech, media (And yes, even banks)...etc also operates in Canada as well. (For the auto sector the parts flip back and forth across the border like 8 times) \n \nThis relationship alone has the American economy see a large trade surplus with Canada, however there is another element to it: Energy. \n \nCanada is also home to a LARGE amount of really cheap renewable hydro power in the east, and a LOT of oil in the west, due to a lack of infrastructure we really can only sell that oil to the states and therefore it is done at a discount. America refines this cheap oil into gas and is a large part of the reason why American gas is so cheap. They use this energy to power the same factories mentioned above. (Oh and also the NE states import a lot of that clean hydro electricity for the same reasons) \n \nThe US Buys SO MUCH of that cheap energy from us to power your industrial base, that it swings the numbers on the trade balance into a small deficit for the USA. (41 billion out of a TRILLION dollars total trade, or about -4.1% of total trade so literally a pretty small deficit) It also swing back and forth every year so \n \nThen comes Trump. He wants Canada as a 51st state and own the entire continent, therefore he manufactures an excurse that our border is leaky and that migrants and fentanyl are flowing over. (In actual case migrants and the flow of Fent is about 1% the amount that's crossing at the Mexico border but he needs an excuse) \n \nHe therefore puts 25% tariffs on us. Those tariffs will hit Canada harder than the 2008 financial crisis just for scale. \n \nOh and also for the most part American Refineries literally cant process any other oil than ours or Venezuela's because its thicker so tariffs on our oil will also really increase the priced of energy in the states by a huge amount just for the LOLs. As we've seen during the post covid recovery, since gas is priced in to the supply chain at every step (Manufacturing, transportation...etc), any increase at the pump will snowball into higher costs for everything at the store, on top of the extra cost of the tariffs on consumers. (Since every step will need to add it into their markup.)

Zelensky was in no position to make demands. Trump wants the war to stop, zelensky wants firepower.
