Trudeau called trump's bluff - Canada stepped up the drug border security. Now trump can't use that as an excuse so he has to find other random things to blame this on.

I don't agree with tariffs but if Trump wants them they should only use it against America's enemies, not allies.

I appreciate Canada using facts. As an American it is difficult living ruled by a fact-free, fact avoidant, straight out lying Trump Administration.

No matter who pays the tariffs and who it hurts, the end result is that billions will be paid into the government coffers of both USA and Canada. Of course Trump & Musk want to use that to benefit billionaire oligarchs, but what will Canada do with the new income? Maybe much could go to Ukraine to compensate US disgusting withdrawal of support??

As an American, I hope that our allies can recognize that we are prisoners in Trump's corruption. We are as abused children in a toxic family who wait in the window, looking for someone who can help as the U. S. has, as we used to, when we weren't led by an insane person and his greedy regime. As a German, I can only say, great country. My son studied in Canada for a year. He was given such a warm welcome. Thank you. The import taxes are nonsense. I'm a born Canadian and i'm BAFFLED at how you would turn around and impose tariffs on your closest ally. Canada and the US had a relationship that was built on trust co-operation and trillions of dollars and it means nothing to their current president. I used to be a fan of Trump, but the recent situation with Zelensky along with the tariffs i can see more and more that having him back in office was a huge mistake. Trump obviously doesn't care about how the tariffs affect his country and his people because he responded by threatening to raise the tariffs in retaliation to Canada's response.

I just watch mr trump speak with regards to tariff impose on canada mexico and china..he's proud in saying that a lot of foriegn companies will soon build factories and offices in the US. Providing billions of jobs and revenue. He said that if these companies would come to the United States where will be no tariff, lower taxes and easy life for the Americans. What would be interesting to know is how trade between Canada and Europe explodes, Europe would like all the oil and gas and rare earthminerals Canada has, so would China, if for nothing other than to prevent Americas access to it. Canada and Mexico are not responsible for the people in the US who chose to use drugs.
