I'm European, but I lived in Canada for a couple of months and actually got to see Trudeau speak live in Parliament. He gave a very different speech that day - a eulogy. I did not think then I would ever hear this man this very obviously pissed off. He's like one of those teachers that don't need to shout to show their students they are in big trouble. I don't know if I would vote for him if I was Canadian, but I would certainly be proud of him right now.

He never said Trump is a smart man, that was part of the quote damn it. I’m an American who is so sad, mad, outraged we are treating Canada and Mexico. Thank you Trudeau, I heard your message for us. I certainly cast my vote and will do so again towards unity, reason, compassion and love for the world. Not this disgusting behavior.

I admire you Prime Minister Trudeau! As a person from the U.S.A. I am ashamed that Trump has turned against us as citizens of this country and put the entire world at risk. Thank goodness I didn't vote for him!

Thank you, Prime Minister Trudeau, for some clarity during these very troubling times. My hope is people in my country, the USA, will finally begin to listen carefully, and think about the ramifications of voting Trump into office again. When a Canadian starts to speak sternly to you, you know: Shit is coming. As a German, I am with the Canadian people. Please, don’t let yourselves get confused: Trumps blisteringly incompetent management is what the 36% of Americans who voted for him deserve, as well as the about 30% of Americans who DIDN’T vote at all. Sorry for the other about 34%. On a side note: Amazing, how Trudeau still flatters Trump at the end. Very diplomatic and manipulative. Because Trump is so dump, he falls for shit like that.

THANK YOU PM Trudeau! As an American who grew up on the Detroit/Windsor border, I love our Canadian friends. And it hurts my heart to see what’s happening right now between our countries. As a 60 years old french Canadian I have all the reason to not love Trudeau, because he remind me how his father treated us, never vote for him, but today I saw a men (finally) standing up and take the lead for our country. While I didn't vote for Trump... The idea that this will hit Trump voters almost makes the financial suffering I may have to endure worth it. Despite Trudeau's status as a lame duck prior to his pending resignation, his words and actions have made me proud to have voted for him.

As much as I disagree with most of Trudeau’s domestic politics I must say that this was a good address and seems to be where he is strongest. With that said though I still would not vote liberal in the next election.

I just feel the need to apologize to Canadians. What Trudeau said was correct - we've always enjoyed amicable relations between our two countries. Some of my best friends are Canadians. As a US citizen, who voted for Trump three times, i never thought id agree with Trudeau. \nThe US cannot win a trade war, the US versus the world.
