TRUMP gives zero f’s. This is what was voted for with a mandate no less. So get over it, libs. America 1st. We are leveling the trade deficit and withdrawing from another Vietnam. Get over it. Don’t you want people to stop dying?? Friggn libs love endless wars. It’s bizarre. I’ll never understand it.

The educated and thinking American people ( who are the majority of voters and unfortunately 1/3 did not vote) know that Donald Trump has lied to us. We understand that Canada has no fault and no role in contriving this trade war. We also know that the Fentanyl problem has little or nothing to do with Canada and that the majority of Fentanyl is brought into the USA by US citizens. Most American citizens do not want this. Donald Trump and is an opportunist. He does not care about the American people . He cares about himself and his money.

Man I just thought what if this is the shift of us losing our standing in the world as Americans. People better start shopping for what they need now than we want. It’s already hard day to day with wages we make imagine the cost associated with this trade war.

-DEAR AMERICANS ..., this video is a prime example of why the USA needs to stop depending so much on other countries for so much importing and start investing in building and start manufacturing products again in the US like it used to be and keeping our farmlands IS VERY IMPORTANT also. Now you see the other side to alot of what's going on , it's important for America as a whole. If you don't understand why manufacturing/ farming/ and investing into some independence like other countries is important ....now you know!!! . Yes their are always gonna be trades and we need them also, But USA is like totally relying on other countries for everything!! This is not anti-American, it is just fighting back from an unnecessary trade war. It does however break my heart because many Canadians have family on the U.S. side. I know it would also break my father’s heart as he grew up in New England and had a lifetime affection for the U.S. I despise politics and have not been a proud Canadian for a few years but I have to admit that this speech is getting me going again. Canada needs to get its act together and rebuild its military, not to fend off the U.S. but to hold its own should other countries decide we are ripe for the picking. I want U.S.-Canada relations to be tight again. We’re neighbor. We will have our disagreements and that’s fine but these trade wars will hurt everyone and, if it lasts, may leave lasting grievances.

I certainly hope it doesn’t seem as though all Americans agree with what Trump is doing because many of us certainly do not. He doesn’t understand what the word diplomacy means unfortunately. With inflation rates rising, a trade war is one of the worst possible scenarios, and I agree with the Prime Minister. There are no winners here. Everyone gets hurt.

I think this effect has already been anticipated by the current US administration and I surmise they will shift their trade relations with Russia perhaps they can get a better deal with Russia. I’m a 53 year old Canadian. I went to college on an athletic scholarship & lived there for 10 years after turned professional in my sport. Why, why, why - with all the problems going on in the world right now to tackle - why would you want to start a trade war with your closest trading partner & most loyal ally? Not to mention that your list of Allies is shrinking daily. This is not going to end well for either of us. \nI just arrived home from a trip to the grocery store - making sure nothing in my cart said “ made in the USA” on it due to the new tariffs that began today. \nThe irony is, many of the states where Trump won by the biggest margin, are the states that are going to get hit the hardest from Canadian retaliation tariffs ( Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Indiana, the Dakotas - just to name a few). A lot of farmers in those states are going to be hit extremely hard with the fertilizer tax. After Canada, the next 3 largest Potash producers are Russia, Belarus & China. So , good luck \nWhen the cost of fruit & vegetables skyrocket across the US. Maybe you’ll put a little more thought into your vote 4 years from now.

I'm a Canadian. I am trying to wrap my head around why a President would start a trade war by imposing tariffs that hurt their allies and hurt his own people..!? I am not an economist nor an investor; However I found it interesting that the immediate result of this as they corresponded about this news is how the markets are taking a major dive. If I wanted to make money off the stock market and had no morals and had the power to cause it to crash, I would make sure it crashed hard by imposing tariffs. Then I would invest as many billions in the key stocks that will come back, and watch my billions turn into 10's or 100's of billions...\nThe other possible explanation could simply be that he wants all the critical minerals from Canada, Greenland, Ukraine for nothing. Taking those minerals for free and selling electric cars, miliatary equipment, etc. would be most profitable!\nBut greed seems to know no bounds for those who are wealthy, as long as it's at their gain and not at their expense!

Cars, for example, are made by american countries anyway (Ford, GM etc). Australia is being punished for aluminium exports to the US. And the largest company involved in this.....ALCOA. Another american company. The orange one and his stupiid sidekick seem to have no idea how international trade works, especially if you are punishing mostly american internationals. Just look how he has punished the DOW. Americans are going to suffer even more in the future.

President Trump doesn't care. The US has been subsidizing Canada's electrical grid for over $250 million dollars a year. Canada will loose that. In addition, US automotive industries like stellantis are moving productions back to the US from Canada. Canada has been charging the US dairy products 250% in tariffs, US Bourbon and whiskey 180% for over 4 years. China has been charging Ford 200% tariff so much so that ford can no longer afford to sell their vehicles in China.....all these outrageously high tariffs were designed to protect their domestic products.... China was suposed to spend 4 billion dollars a year in US goods but they have been consistently spending only 1.9 billion each year . Trade deficit of over 2 billion dollars. What sane person would allow this to happen in a free market and call this fair trades????? I have no knowledge of this until recently.
