The costs may not be that big if there is a tariff but it will hurt Colombian economy if US goes elsewhere

Just be aware, tariffs only hurt importers in the country that's utilizing them against another country. Meaning the US is going to get hurt by this along with Colombia. Importers take the hit and then they drive up the price on goods coming in. Meaning inflation increases even more. He's going to wreck the economy if he continues throwing out tariffs like candy. Colombia is likely going to join BRICS from this and will trade primarily with China.

He couldn't get the last President of Mexico to pay for his so called wall, then embezzled funds raised by US citizens to build it, then had a completion ceremony, which was a lie. First, they might fight back by adding their own tariffs on U.S. goods, which would hurt American farmers and businesses that sell products to those countries. If tariffs costs are not paid by the country they're placed on, then why would she care? It doesn't affect Mexico, it affects the US, so why not just say, go ahead you're not gonna hurt us in anyway and it's not gonna stop migrants or Americans from carrying drugs over the border. A train wreck is coming down the tracks. Tariffs will increase the cost of living in the US because the cost of paying it will come out our own pockets, not the foreign countries. They will only pass that cost onto us by reversed tariffs against the US. This proposal will only hurt the world economy and alienate our closest trading partners. These countries believe the weaker we are, the more life they can suck out of us. It’s wrong. They intentionally want to hurt us. Time for all of us to tighten our belts. The U.S. will learn a lesson soon, You cannot impose tariff on all products coming from Mexico without hurting your economy. The U.S. citizens will pay that decision without a doubt. He should be put in a mentally psychiatric institute at least for 4 years until he learns his lesson.

We understand that the company that outsources labor and buys foreign goods pay the tariffs completely. The idea is to put those businesses out of business for ones that manufacture/purchase in the US. If you out source for personal gain while hurting our economy you shouldn’t be in business. That is the point.

We are ripping off one another!! USA companies picked up their hats and coats then went overseas in the 70s to make more money!! Tariffs will steadily hurt the consumers and pad the pockets of those mega companies. Greed begets greedier and greediest. Heck, if I had a company back in the 70s, I probably would have done the same thing. Never be surprised. It is all simple.

This will make our food prices go up. Food will rot in the fields as no one will be around to pick them. Who going to make beds and clean hotel room including resorts. Who is going to mow your lawn and trim your trees? Who is going to clean your tables and wash your dishes in the restaurants? Who is going to pave the streets and roads etc. Our food prices will go up, and businesses will be hurt. Our Gross National Product will decline. Tariffs will increase the price we pay for clothes, shoes, etc. Inflation will rise, unemployment will rise, and we will be headed into a recession according to experts. tariffs on Chinese EV's yet Ford keeps cancelling all of their electric vehicle programs so you cant even by a Canadian made EV anyways. Every person in China owns an EV so I'm sure they aren't hurting over our tariffs. North America is 1 percent of their market.
