CANADA SHOULD HAVE ASSIMILATED ITS IMMIGRANTS, AS WAS DONE IN THE PAST, BUT TRUDEAU WITH HIS MULTICULTURAL RELIGION TOLD IMMIGRANTS THAT THEY COULD LIVE IN CANADA WITHOUT EVEN INTEGRATE INTO THE MAJORITY. SO THE IMMIGRANTS CAME AND CONTINUED TO LIVE HERE AS THEY HAD IN THEIR PAST LIVES, FORMING A MULTITUDE OF HERMETIC COMMUNITIES THAT DID NOT INTEGRATE INTO THE CULTURE OF THE COUNTRY. OFTEN THEY LEFT THEIR COUNTRY TO LIVE IN A BIG CANADIAN CITY. IT IS CLEAR THAT THEIR BEHAVIOUR SHOULD HAVE CHANGED TO ADAPT TO THE LAWS AND THE CULTURE OF THE COUNTRY. BUT TRUDEAU LIED TO THEM BY TELLING THEM THAT THEY COULD LIVE HERE IN ABSOLUTELY THE SAME WAY AS IN THEIR COUNTRY OF ORIGIN.. NOW, THE REACTION IS HERE. CANADIANS NO LONGER TOLERATE THESE FOREIGNERS WHO BELIEVE THEY ARE AT HOME AND THINK THEY CAN IMPOSE THEIR CUSTOMS AND BEHAVIOURS THAT ARE DISTURBING. TRUDEAU AND THE LIBERALS HAVE TRANSFORMED CANADA INTO A BALKANIZED COUNTRY MADE UP OF SMALL TERRITORIES ALL FOREIGN TO EACH OTHER. THE FUTURE OF THIS CONFETTI COUNTRY IS SEEN IN WHAT IS CURRENTLY HAPPENING IN THE UNITED KINGDOM WHICH IS EXPERIENCING AN EXISTENTIAL CRISIS. WITH ITS MULTICULTURAL POLICY, BRITISH POLITICIANS HAVE DROWNED THE NATIVE ENGLISH PEOPLE BY DENYING THE PERVERSE EFFECTS OF THIS POLICY. TODAY THE COUNTRY IS ON THE EDGE OF A CIVIL WAR. THIS IS WHAT CANADA WILL EXPERIENCE VERY SOON IF TRUDEAU REMAINS IN POWER AND IMMIGRATION CONTINUES IN THIS WAY.

I never usually comment, but really had to speak up. Those of you from the US should not be involved in this conversation considering ur melting pot country with little diversity who is unaccustomed to diversity anyways (i went to america and was shocked at how little coloured minorities there were, and if there were it was just one type that was not brown). Canada has always had brown people, and many of the people you are talking about could be those that immigrated many years ago here or those that were born here. This is different from those immigrating who are also brown - you are grouping those from all different countries in South Asia (with brown skin) as Indian. Just because you see a brown person working in Walmart, it could just be someone who was born here or came here a long time ago. Brown people and Indians included are not in a majority in any way - just look at the population stats.

They should actually just follow the Canadian culture. I mean, they came here and they should bend and adjust to Canadians, not the other way around. There are some that are really demanding and would complain a lot how they are mistreated but so far, as long as you are also compromising, everyone is smooth.

They are legally migrating. And the Canadian govt is not stupid to welcome.. These are legal educated people migrating and contributing to the newly adopted land in every aspect of the way.. In taxes. In education. In politics.. Would the you tuber have been happy or whites if more whites came in and assimilated more easily and physically??!!

My dad came to this country in the 80s; I was born here. I had a lovely childhood in the 90s and 2000s. My parents bought a house in suburban Toronto with just a high school education. They sent us to public school, which was perfectly good. I was looking forward to buying my own house, etc. I loved this country. Even back then, people were reticent about being too nationalistic. But I was PROUD to be Canadian even though my parents were not born here. I thought of myself as Canadian, I sang O Canada proudly, I celebrated Remembrance Day in a solemn way even as a child, and I would have died for the country if we had been at war. \n\nWell, not anymore. I don't recognize this country after years of Trudeau. I can never buy a house here, the cost of groceries is burdening me, and the younger people in my family can't even find part time jobs as students. People are increasingly rude, crime has me on edge, it's congested. Freedom of speech, which was taken for granted when I was very young, is dwindling away. Churches have been burnt, Trudeau has incited hatred against people who disagree with him. I'm actually moving to the USA to work there, so that will ease a lot of these issues. (I know it's not perfect down there, but having spent a lot of time there, I can see many things are better). But I'm sad. I'm sad for my family that still lives here. I'm sad that the country I once loved is gone.

Thank you for speaking up. I would extend this msg to all immigrants from all part if the world. We all represent our motherland and we came to Canada for the safety and the lifestyle that Canada is known for. We all should be considerate of people around us, represent our cultures and nations in respectful and kind ways. \nBest wishes to all

I feel bad for those who were duped into coming here to Canada. They had big dreams of becoming successful here, instead not being able to do that and being forced to live in cramped accommodations. I work in healthcare, and a lot of people who work in the facility in which I'm employed were brought here from the Philippines and India, mostly. Some were hired directly by this employer, while others came here some other way. Those with professions like being an RN were under the impression that it wouldn't take that long or be that difficult to get their Canadian certification to work as RNs here. Instead, they found out that the process for that here in Canada is a lot tougher and takes a lot longer than they'd been led to believe. So many are left not being able to use their education to its fullest, instead working as care aides until they can get the proper certification. I know that this has also happened with doctors and engineers and to many in other professions for which they went to school for years. It's a real shame.\n\nThis massive influx of people coming from other countries, though, has been really tough on those of us who were already living here. It's been way too many people, and we just weren't prepared. It's been one of the biggest factors in the huge increase of cost of living and, of course, it's by far the reason we have an enormous housing shortage.\n\nI'm not completely anti-immigration, but I think that it needs to be stopped, at least for a while. Let us deal with what's going on now instead of bringing in more people that would only help to make things worse, through no fault of their own. There's no reason that we need to have more people coming here right now. We have way more than enough people here right now.

I came to Canada in 2020. I studied for 3 years in London, Ontario, and moved to Toronto 6 months ago to work. My opinion is that the city of Toronto is deeply ill and something is definitely wrong. I live and work Downtown, and have to pay 2650 CAD/month to live in 400 sq ft inside a condo. There are no trees/wild animals within many square kilometers of my house, but there are a lot of homeless people and dangerous drug addicts. I learned the hard way that living in Toronto and visiting Toronto as a tourist are totally different things. I hope to be able to leave the city as soon as possible, and possibly get back to London.

There was an incident were a cricket match was going to be shown in the mega plex put they did not show it something happened that was not mega plexes fault that it was not being shown there was a group of Indian students who started screaming at the ticket counter. It’s because of behaviour like this Canadians are hating international students from India .?. The 2022 -2023 batch on international students are a disgrace not saying g all of them are bad just most dont come to study just a back door into the country they see one of there family members went to Canada and they should to ?‍♀️. There was a polling conducted and most Canadians want less immigration from India . Canada is not as big like America . Having so ma y people come in just puts a strain on housing, who would think that people from a hot country would want to go to a cold country…. Just go to a wormer country . Many Indians aren’t even thinking about coming to Canada anymore look for other countries. Or better yet stay in India ??. If you have money you can live a really good life in India . Taxes , are high , homes are crazy expensive , car insurance is high , people’s are getting there cars stolen don’t see the benefit really coming to Canada . And most Indians already own there own house in India so way come to Canada and in India you pay very small taxes as well .?‍♂️ and at the end of the day white people are so racist towards Indians know they look at you like you are the reason there life is messed up ? make India. Great ????. America only has its military going for it it’s such a racist place to live as well . Canada talks about how great their health care is but when you see the wait times and how they have less doctors not so great . Canada and America are only great if you are already rich but if you are poor or middle class life is a struggle. I came to Canada in 2016 worked in IT until I had enough money saved up moved back to India and bought land and built a house just started buying more land and when I had enough moved back to India . Us Indians can be successful anywhere so way not be successful in our country. And Japan is the most technology advanced country more than America even . There are way to many international students from\nPunjab coming to Canada . It’s alarming canada is slowly becoming India 2.0 it’s scary Canada is losing their own identity. I do have to say: I worked at a dental office and I NOTICED that every one that “moved away “ because they could no longer stand living here, ALWAYS came back every 6 months to get their free healthcare. So if she does move away, I am pretty sure she will come back for medical, dental etc. So I hope she has a good life, but if she is leaving then she should also give up her Canadian citizenship. She can’t have both ways.

Well, I am leaving, yes. Although I am very grateful with Germany, I work in IT, and I don't hold a diploma, but I have more than 20 years of experience in the field, I always been offered jobs beneath my experience, only because of a paper. I am Italian and was very enthusiastic when I arrive 4 years ago, but the way I was treated was mostly bad, that led me not wanting to study the language anymore, people were so agressive in the streets. When I needed the back of the justice, it was never on my favour, even when I was right, as I was hit in the street by a stranger who made my face bleed, police said that it was nothing and that it was the opposite, even when they had evidence. I was mistreated at a hospital in Schwabing, München and medical attention was refused, police didn't help and they requested my to litereally scream for help, and I did because I was bleeding on a place I didn't know, with -4 degrees, without any jacket. I even tried with the discrimination line, which doesn't work, and if you write them an Email, they will say they cannot help. I Will never understand that level of cruelty, not to mention 5000 Euros I had to pay for a ticket, because I suppousedly scratch the car of a person and because my Kaution was never returned, tried, but never got a lawyer, because you need to pay for the air you breathe in this country. ARD, what is that? You pay for the right of internet, and you pay internet as well, the desorganization with the states is massive, and often times, you will get a letter in your box post having to pay somehting else. My energy and money was completely drained. I just had it. Despite of everything, this country tought me great things, like discpline and hard work which I really appreciate and will take this knowledge...somewhere else. I also became better human being as a result of being exposed to all of the bad things. But I am isolated case, not everyone goes through these things, I did, and to me it was more than enough to wanting to Auf Wiedersehen. Unfortunaly Germany prefers to keep people who did not come to the country to add something, crazy as it seems, they would allow more people who rape, do not respect their culture and commit other crimes, instead of really welcoming people who came here to have a better life. Germany is currently too focused on other countries problems and failed on attending the needs of their citizens and the citizens who came to live here, including europeans, as myself. I truly believe that Germany is a beautiful country, München is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen, and has astonishing landscapes and vibrant nature. But...

If I had to listen to the noise from a mosque every day I'd leave Canada. That's not the Canadian culture. Immigrants need to fit in and embrace the Canadian culture and laws. If they are willing to do that they will be integrated with open arms. If they expect Canada change to the culture they came from that's not going to happen. Don't let the door hit your a$$ on the way out.

Canadian kindness surely has affected it. As a newcomer who came here and embrace the Canadian way of kindness, I have suffered. People use and exploited me for their benefits. Emotionally and financially.

Hi Alina !! Good for you!! GOOOO!!!!I lived in Japan and China for a decade. I came back to Canada 4 years ago to find a decadent, unsafe, expensive country. Canada is not the shadow of the amazing country that I deeply loved. The only way I could survive these last four years was to leave Canada for at least 4 months a year. I am leaving Canada again tomorrow, but this time is for good. Do I feel sad? not anymore. I will always remember Canada but the new reality is just a nightmare !!!!

That's fucked up and it makes really freaking mad. I worked so many years and over times for what. I got chronicly ill didn't work for 3 years and got SSI and I don't even get $900 dollars. Migrants just walk over and get $1,400 WTF I'm a citizen who came here legally and paid my way ? I have nothing against migrants but darn you get all those benefits why then give them so much money. I got deported from Canada for having an overstay on my visa tried to get it fixed but couldn’t was very expensive so came back to Europe which is going the same way as Canada mass emigration scary how quick it’s happening.

I’m immigrant from Iraq. Came in 2009 and I can say Canada has immigration problem. There’s no way you are getting these students back to India. When I came to Canada I came because I wanted to make it my second home. A country that I’m willing to actually fight for. These guys are here just to make money and send it back to India. As a person that grew up around Muslims and have Muslims in my family, the Middle East has never gotten along with each other way before the west came to that region. It’s always been the Sunnis vs. the Shiites. The countries that you named are Sunni Muslims who are anti terror and are tired of instability coming from Islamic jihadists regimes who are the Shiites. I am an immigrant and we came here to live a life that was better than the previously disastrous country we came from, and now these new immigrants are trying to impose the way of life that made their countries disastrous in the first place. If you come to Canada, you live as Canadians do. We are the kindest people on earth so let’s keep it that way!

There are now quite a few news stories in Canada of immigrants leaving the country - some back home and others to the USA and other places. Many just get a Canadian passport and then leave. There are public health care and pensions, so it can be an asset and also a convenient travel document to have. A lot of Canadian university graduates have a very hard time finding work in their fields and a lot of them look to the US for a better future. Both immigration and unemployment in Canada are much higher that in the US - so more people are chasing fewer jobs that often pay less and are taxed more than in the USA. Opportunities are generally a lot fewer in Canada than the US, and the business environment is not as favourable, and taxes significantly higher. You would be getting some of the entrepreneurs from Canada moving to the US for more favourable conditions as well to launch a business and also now a lot more rich investor types, so-called high net worth individuals wanting to relocate, because they just raised the capital gains tax in Canada. Capital gains is also triggered on inheritance in Canada with a deemed sale of property and assets, so rich people would prefer the American system and want to be residents there for tax purposes and have their assets grow in value in the US compared to Canada. There are very large numbers of foreign students and other categories of immigrants which may have as their goal going to the US after getting a temporary visa to Canada which is easy to get - maybe something like half a million to a million people in those categories depending on the year, plus around another half million regular immigrants and refugees now. The Trudeau administration has increased immigration to record numbers. It has been steadily going up over the years for several decades since 1990. Because of family re-unification it can have a snowball effect and could significantly exceed 1 million per year. A lot of the sending countries have much larger populations than Canada, so there are a lot more that can be potentially sent to Canada in the future. About 1/4 of the population of Canada has been added in the past few decades. Add to that visitors and temporary visas - that is a lot of people potentially moving to the US. Before the 1990s Canadians visiting the US were not required to have a passport and a drivers' license or birth certificate was adequate. Now a passport is required. It is impossible to effectively control the long Canada-US border, so there could be some unified policies in that area agreed on between Canada and the USA on immigration and refugees. Canada currently has a very open immigration policy with the government actively seeking out more immigration beyond its current processing capacity and trying to take rejected immigrants from other countries. The Canadian government, especially in recent years under Trudeau is immigration hungry. It might be the only country in the world doing that. What some news reports are now saying is that some immigrants are actually leaving, since they find it so difficult in Canada and some are worse off than they were in the countries they came from, which were considered to be less developed than Canada. \nWashington currently has more immigration controls and administrative competencies than Ottawa, so US pressure and influence is a faster way to get reforms into the system than waiting for local politicians to do anything, which is unlikely. Canada is seen by some as a backdoor into the US. Biden's immigration policies could be seen as very conservative in Canada compared to Trudeau's. It used to be in the news about how refugees were trying to get to Canada and walking across the border in Quebec and out west from the US earlier, but now there are more news stories of immigrants leaving Canada trying to go the other way, probably due to high costs and unemployment because the government took in more people than it could absorb into the economy. They have the idea that immigration drives GDP growth so that they can borrow and spend more, expand the civil service, etc. without making any cutbacks or efficiencies, supposedly without the Debt to GDP ratio getting worse, just by bringing in more people as if that would drive the economy. A lot depends on who you bring in as well. Are they going to go on welfare, are they going to increase crime, will they somehow contribute to society, are they a net tax benefit or cost in terms of government services, will they invest money, will they start a business and create jobs for others ? Those issues do not factor into government decision making in Canada for the most part. Ontario Premier Doug Ford did say there were too many foreign students. It is bad planning not to consider those factors since there are other costs that grow with those policies as well, and infrastructure has to be expanded. I think that the real immigration numbers to Canada are not transparent or made public, nor are the costs involved, if anyone even knows what they are. Nor is the impact on crime. You can guess from what the reports are in other countries. The Fraser Institute has made some estimates on the net costs of immigration to the government budget a few years ago, which were very high and which by now have increased - the cost equivalent of several new aircraft carriers each year. They are big numbers which are not publicized, but it amounts to the fact that immigration is subsidized by the taxpayers in Canada and it is not paying for our pensions as an ageing society as has been claimed. There is less money for education, health care and pensions per person, and those social benefits will probably have to be reduced over time. Social programs can only be delivered to the extent that the government has money. The bigger social system a county has, the more such immigration policies are going to cost. Trudeau has been expanding various social programs as well, so higher taxes and debt are likely with that approach. Then more productive people and companies will want to leave Canada and go to the US. Probably the government does not know what the actual numbers and costs are and doesn't actively keep track of that information beyond what is required. Probably nobody knows what the true immigration figures and their associated costs are in Canada, and hardly anyone has even studied those issues. If they can just walk across the US border and get papers so easily making an asylum claim, it is not surprising, since it would take them longer to get a regular visa and work permit if they did it legally. You could call that a loophole in the US immigration system which is being exploited. The US is better governed in general and has a better system in many ways, but I am not sure if it is the same on that. People have arrived on boats and have not been sent back. At least in the US you have more open information about those issues. In Canada it is hard to find out anything about it. Deportations from Canada are very few. \nOn other issues in Canada when voting in federal elections you have to show a government issued photo ID like a drivers' license or passport to vote and bring a card that was mailed out to eligible voters that gets updated addresses when a person files their taxes. I have never heard of mail-in ballots in Canada, but there are remote areas of the country in the far north who may have special system for voting. It is easier to get a Canadian citizenship than US and many more citizenships are handed out in Canada each year in proportion to the population than in the US. Canadian might be one of the easiest citizenships to get in the world. The official line now is that it is a country of immigrants. Based on current trends, will very little opposition to it in the parliament and most MPs supporting it, future immigration to Canada could increase to several million per year because of the rapid growth of population in the world, and the momentum already growing of immigration to Canada, so it may change significantly in the future. Historically around the world you can see many examples that country names, borders, flags and languages change over time with population changes, so it might not be called Canada anymore in 50-100 years. For example, Bulgaria used to be called Thrace which had been a powerful kingdom in antiquity and had a different language which is barely known about anymore. Over the past 2,000 years it has gone through a number of changes and had various regimes governing it, has been independent and also part of several different empires. Canada has only been a country for a short time in comparison and has been been going through significant changes. Trudeau has said that Canada is a post-national country. Canada is also going through a period of critical self-examination and deconstruction-revisionism. A lot of what had been viewed as positive from its history now is seen more critically, with re-naming and removing historical figures now seen as negative.\nDiscussing immigration policy critically is considered by many to be taboo in Canada, unless a person is saying good things about it in general. You can hear people say that the government isn't processing enough people, for example, but not often that there are too many or that it costs a lot of money. The trend of migration from Canada to the US would only increase much more in the future as it is going currently, and its role as a stepping stone to migration to the US could increase. The way this would be seen by many in Canada is that they are losing valuable people to the USA whom they consider assets, since a lot of officials have been trying to bring in more people into the country, but not everyone wants to stay in Canada nowadays because of a lack of jobs and opportunities. Canada is quite laissez-faire about migration, with Toronto being a sanctuary city as well.

What about all the migrants that came from the USA over that border into Canada? Quebec has been overrun. I think its a two way flow. Plus Mexico has a visa again here so that will stop them.,

The best way to deal with this is to make them more afraid of coming here than they are of staying where they came from. The blame for the immigration crisis really lies on the governments of the countries these people are coming from. I think we just have to tell them NO and stop giving illegal immigrants a place to stay and money.. We don't need a physical border wall, just stop giving them money and they will eventually stop when they see that they will just end up laying on the streets in the cold. If they are illegal they shouldn't get anything but a ticket back to where they came from or go to jail. then put back to where they came from and make them able to come in the legal way. My mom immagrated to canada in the 1900s, she was originally from korea and came here for a better way of life. She has met my Canadian born father and has fully integrated into Canadian society while still holding on to her costoms. Despite being a immigrant, she is horrified on how many new immigrants are coming into Canada and destroying the foundation of Canadian culture and society.

I’m Indian, born and raised in Canada. My parents came here in 1994 and they made the best decision for our future. We adjusted to Canadian culture and have respect for the country that gave us opportunity. It makes me disgusted seeing my own kind come here and make a mockery of such a good country. Why are people leaving? BEcause in the last 7 years we made a huge mistake of letting in too many people and spent less time developing ourselves and infrastructure. Way too many came and got seated in the usual big cities where things are getting worse. Right now there is a gradually increasing anti-immigrant sentiment, especially towards East Indians, Bangladeshiis and Pakistanis, and there is a worry about having existing culture turning too Islamic and Hindu. I've been living in Canada for the last 10 years ( came here as an international student), and now applying for my permanent residency. Went through high school, post secondary, and now working a full-time job in my field of study. I would say it's long overdue for Canada to scale down on its immigration policies (yes, I've had this thought even when I was a student so anyone who thinks I switched teams can shut up). There are simply not enough houses to accommodate Canadian, let alone immigrants. A lot of them only work minimum wage jobs which neither help the country with shortages in other fields nor their careers in the long term, and overall it gives immigrants a bad rap in the eyes of Canadian citizen. The recent changes in immigration imo is a good first step in the right direction.\n\nEdit: Also I'd like to add that if you're leaving your own home country to join another for a better life, it's your responsibility to adapt and contribute to their society, not the other way around. If you can't do that, stay in your home country.

Send all the illegal immigrants back where they came from. Those that want to stay need to apply for legal immigration, must be properly vetted, pledge allegiance to Canada, become Canadian, leaving hatred from their previous country behind, and cannot stay here while they wait. A moratorium on all new applications for at least 10 years. This way the back log of legal immigrants can be dealt with. Stop all new international students, put a moratorium on it for at least 10 years, stop all temporary and permanent workers. All loopholes used to illegally get into the county must be stopped. This will reduce the cost of illegal immigration and solve a large portion of the lack of housing. No more government subsidies to pay for foreign workers. This will open up entry level jobs for young Canadians. No more government subsidies for anything for immigrants. If they need government support then no, you are then disqualified from coming. No more abuse of our Canadian social programs.

I'll be honest while writing this! Being Indian i feel ashamed nowadays bcoz of Trudeau's love affair for Khalistani's. A complete stop on illegal immigration. Send those came in illegally back home. A check of all those that came in under the claim for asylum, background check, history check, vet them correctly. A complete stop on new international students. Close all loop holes that have been used to by-pass our laws. Instead of blaming these people, one must question their own government authorities who make the rules and legislation to facilitate this. Maybe it's just the truth of a desperate Canadian economy that needs immigrants to keep fueling the 'aging' Canadian economic engine.
