Dont forget Canada applies tariffs on a variety of goods imported from the United States, but the specific goods subject to tariffs can vary depending on the trade agreements in place, as well as individual circumstances and trade disputes. Some of the key categories of goods that have historically been subject to tariffs or trade restrictions between the two countries include:\n\t1.\tAgricultural Products:\n\t•\tDairy products: Canada has a system of supply management in place for dairy, poultry, and eggs. As a result, certain U.S. agricultural products, particularly dairy, face higher tariffs when imported into Canada.\n\t•\tPoultry and eggs: Similar to dairy, tariffs are applied to U.S. poultry and eggs under Canada’s supply management system.\n\t•\tBeef and pork: Canada has historically imposed tariffs on U.S. beef and pork, although these are often adjusted or reduced under trade agreements like the USMCA (United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement).\n\t2.\tSteel and Aluminum:\n\t•\tCanada imposed tariffs on certain U.S. steel and aluminum products after the United States imposed tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum in 2018 under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962. However, in 2019, both countries reached an agreement to remove some tariffs, although certain products may still be subject to tariffs or quotas.\n\t3.\tLumber:\n\t•\tSoftwood lumber is another contentious issue in U.S.-Canada trade. Canada has faced tariffs on its softwood lumber exports to the U.S. for many years, and there have been instances where Canada has applied retaliatory tariffs in response to U.S. actions.\n\t4.\tConsumer Goods and Electronics:\n\t•\tSome consumer goods, like electronics, furniture, and vehicles, may have tariffs or duties imposed depending on the category, though the majority of goods between the U.S. and Canada are traded tariff-free under the USMCA, which replaced NAFTA.\n\t5.\tAlcohol and Tobacco:\n\t•\tCanada applies tariffs and duties on alcohol and tobacco products imported from the U.S., but these are often subject to specific regulations and agreements.

I am an American citizen. I did not vote for Trump. I would never vote for somebody like Trump and I’m sorry for what he’s doing to Canada but you do what you have to do we’ll survive, but somebody has to put Trump in his place.

Trump placing tariffs on allies and loosening sanctions on Russia almost seems like Trump wants to us to do business with Russia. Boycott any company that normalizes business with Russia

?? I'm thinking that we need to build a wall ! A BIG WALL . Like him or not, I'm glad that we have a REAL leader in place to defend our country, not a chainsaw wielding president and his diaper clad, draft dodging, STD ridden, traitor wife.

It does feel a bit like that, yeah. \n\nStill love this place, but it can feel like you're doing everything right and not exactly leaping ahead financially.

As a Canadian, I am more afraid of the people than their healthcare system. And I am chronically ill and would be homeless in America. You seem pretty cool, but living in a place where children have to train for school shootings. I heard they cant even wear light up shoes for their own saftey. Just their hate of immigrants and people in general. Its not the first time that I have heard an American say they want to shoot down all the aliens. Also, wtf! We know you live in America. You dont need to have a flag every 2 meters. ????? even on your clothes. We get it! You're American! I feel like you guys get super offended by everything.

Quick note for non-Canadians (or just Canadians who don't know). When he says a majority of the nation are homeowners that's kind of not what the data says. It defines homeowner as someone who lives in a house which is owner occupied. So for example, an adult child who can't afford to rent their own place and is stuck living in their parents basement is a homeowner. I can tell you right now they don't feel like a homeowner.

Bidens administration created this sense of entitlement and chaos but Dems blame it on Trump bringing the law back. It’s like never disciplining your small children then one day giving them all these rules. They’re going to throw tantrums and be defiant. But that doesn’t take away the fact that the rules ( laws) should’ve been there in the first place to protect our country.

Most illegal migrants spend thousands of dollars to commit the crime (entering any sovereign country illegally is simply an invasion). If they dare to enter China or any of the Arab countries this way, then who knows, they would be in heaven or hell rather than back home. All the deportees should be arrested on reaching back home for invading a foreign sovereign country and tarnishing the images of hundreds of millions of citizens of their countries who enter the USA or any other developed democratic country to study at the best of the universities, and after completion of the courses, they are not only provided the best of the jobs but also citizenship or other legal status to stay put in the countries. But these people reach their desired destination after going through rigorous educational and other processes and after a thorough background check. But in the matter of illegal immigrants, how are the victimized countries supposed to know their backgrounds? How can one be sure if they are not hardcore criminals, terrorists, spies, or even trained soldiers of enemy countries? In such uncertainty, how can the invaded countries be sure that an incident or incidents of such a large magnitude might not take place that, in comparison, the incident of 9/11 would look like the small incident of bursting firecrackers? But on one election promise, the president is, unfortunately, taking a complete U-turn that those students who do the master's and other higher studies should be retained and provided legal status to stay in the country as their contributions are needed to give the country the perpetual cutting edge in the highly competitive world and keep the country's status as number one. These scholars are feeling cheated that by spending huge amounts of money and contributing to the research and development during the studies, they have not only been taken for a ride but also become the main target of the deportation campaign as their status is available with the government. On the other hand, millions of undocumented workers are comparatively safe, as tracing and deporting them is not an easily achievable task. Besides, millions of foreign citizens are given entry into the country on flimsy grounds, and many of them do not even ever go to elementary school. I think even God would not be able to make out what the fuck this country has become on this issue. Almost the same is the situation with most of the EU countries, the UK, Australia, and Canada.

Canada is under a vicious systemic attack, especially anything related too family culture. You did the right thing! ..run baby run!. Most Canadians are simply to domesticated to understand the sofistication of whats presently taking place by people and parties within. Canada will likely not survive as a country following these events. Most reading this will also not understand the nature of the present situation for some time.

I'm brown and I'm not use to living in an all brown place. My family is mixed. My former homeland was partially mixed but mostly brown. White black brown yellow just have more kids then. Live in a clean environment and respect the laws of the land . Do not act like maniacs and tell people become My religion or die etc. This is why brown people annoy everyone it's because of the behavior. Some people are just plain racist and mostly just a color thing.

Hi I'm from Russia and I would say that mostly people who lives in english speaking countries they usually can only tell about wealth privilegues of having particular passport, offical status of their country and that's it. for my personal opinion the motherland is something that is more than that. I didn't travel much somewhere but I've been abroad and I would say - nowhere is better than here in Russia for me. And those people who just moved there to foreign counties from Russia as example they pretend that it's much better for them in completely alien country. that's a bull shit as I guess because each people is like a spider who since it was given a birth is spreading out it's net in particular place (their parents, friends, first love, lovely places, and etc) and since they moved somewhere all this NET will be torn for a long time or forever and never restored anymore. and for my personal opinion immigration is BULL SHIT and I would do it in a completely disparate situation. And I see nothing common with english speakers in mentality, everything that you're interested in is a personal wealth and interest in everything. Russians in this way are much better.

GO HOME !!! FIGHT HALF that hard for your own country and you will have a nice place to live just like we fought for ...we cant take more ....canada is in same boat ....you have sunk our country so low that our kids and grandkids will NEVER own there own homes ...time for change

What I hate my country Canada I have I don't have a place to live I'm like homeless and I was born and raised in my town and I worked my whole life and 40 and homeless and single and no kids but you know what if I don't have kids I don't matter right

This is my biggest complaint of the new administration. They are really dragging their feet with deportations. There’s no reason they haven’t removed at least a million illegal migrants by now. I understand blue states and cities are causing issues, but states like Ohio, Texas, Florida… shouldn’t have to continue to deal with this. Forget Chicago and NYC for now, save places like Springfield, OH.

Go back and stink over there. These indians used lots of perfume stink smell in public and on selfish blah in piblic places and never consider Canadians put dam backpacks occupy seats in bus and train.\nI warn you 1 fare 1 seat!\nDont violate rules here or you escort back to indian much sooner like now?

You mean the migrants who crossed over from the US in the first place? Come on Canada defend your border. Turn t hese people back to the US. So the US lets them leave but not come back? Ya who needs friends like that. How about both sides protect the border and allow NO ONE to cross illegally. Just turn them back problem solved. But we all know why Trudoh wont do that. His orders come from higher up

@mutteringmale\nMany places have natural beauty, however, the life of the people living there isn't. And there's no place like home...few Native born Americans leave America permanently, if at all.

Baaaaugh ha ha,,, please get away from our countries, but if they get cold, frost bitten or freeze....hush, be quiet and know you deserve that because you should not be sneaking Into into anybodies country. Use the energy you used to come to America with your hands out for free stuff, that ended. Why? Use that same energy in your own country and quit being lazy and do all you can to make it a better & nicer place for you & your family. Talk to your own government, just like you come here to our government begging with no pride or dignity. Well go back to your own country and talk or make appointments to talk to your home country, ask them what they can do for you and your family but also ask, what YOU can do to even make your community's a better place? mow lawns, plant a lawn, paint or work on houses,, help turn in criminals, if your williing to Chancee freezing to death, to come to America, don't do that because we the taxpayers are stuck disposing of dead bodies, but then again it might be cheaper then you being here alive, both ways, your not wanted or respected dead or alive . Stay Away, go home and make changes.

There's something strange going on here!!! It,s not hard to find vid,s of illegals crossing from the U/S into Canada and police acting like bell hops helping them with there luggage. Seen exactly that on a utube vid out of Quebec, and there are many others of them crossing 20 to 40 at a time other places.??????

That why New Yorker are upset illegal migration getting better care like put up in hotels why the homeless have no place to go.
2025-02-23 0
Talk about a basis report....wow. Stop with the theaterics and report the facts. I dont want illegal immigrants in the US either, but not all of them are pilliaging the village and raping women. By the way, when they are captured, where would you like them to be placed? Prison? Left to die in the snow? \nMeanwhile, work with Canada to tighten up the border.

It pisses me off that these people know what they're doing is illegal but think that if they can get to some place like NY they'll be safe when it's a place in our country. Everywhere they go in our country is illegal because they are here illegally. NY & CA are not above the law & for these ignorant illegals to think they are is frustrating AF. It's reasons like this that these governors & mayors hiding illegals need to be arrested & charged for treason. Arrest just a few & watch how quickly the others begin to work with Trump. Consequences & repercussions tend to have a much better effect on people than doing absolutely nothing & allowing them to continue to ignore federal laws.
2025-02-23 0
For a city that suffered the most awful terror attack in history, it sure seems like they don't care who they let in. Of all the places that one would think might be overly cautious about the safety of it's citizens and who they let in, I would think NY would be super diligent about vetting these people!!
2025-02-23 0
There is no place to live in Canada anymore, terrorists will not live under a bridge like Canadians, they flee to the USA.
2025-02-23 0
The reason places like New York are doing that is because illegal immigration is a money maker. It's the same with homelessness.

As always, because the libtards cannot create valid arguments, they are trying to baffle the people with bullshit.\n\nI don't like your mayor. I don't like him because he has a waffler and a weak man. Whether before or after you made this video, he got called to the governor's office for a spanking, and came back humming a different tune. He's weak. He's trying not to take a side, which is going to make both sides come after him until his career is over. \n\nBUT...\n\nHe got indicted by the Biden administration, over airline upgrades for Christ's sake, because he was taking a stand against illegal immigration. \n\nThat was his stance in the first place. That's what got him in this mess in the first place. \n\nSo to say that the fact that he wanted to work with the Trump administration to fight illegal immigration is a quid pro quo... That's just galactically stupid. \n\nThey are speaking to the ignorant with this. Unfortunately, the ignorant are a massive army.

As a Canadian, I support any measure Trump places on Canada. There's a lot of Canadians, who are not willing to bend the knee to the Trudeau government, even if it means some pain. We are so sick of Trudeau and his NDP coalition government. Canada is struggling to get rid of this government and to let you know how bad it is, we are about to have our first ever 'UNELECTED' prime minister. He won't last long but it does really feel like pure unadulterated Authoritarianism.

Right. And who is paying to fly these illegal aliens up to Canada in the first place?\nMy tax money is most likely being spent on this by the Democrat party.
2025-02-23 0
Canada gets 40,000 to 80,000 year coming North\nWe tried last 10 years to stop it\n\n&\nMigrants fly to NYC take bus to local town closest to border, & than take can literally right to place where they cross into Canada\n\nNow because Pierre Poilievre is going to win our next election for our Conservative Party\nWho says in his election promises to close the border\n\nAs when one crosses into Canada illegally\n\nThey bypass our immigration & go thru our Court system\n\nUnder present Liberal govt\nAs they wait for court case\n\nSocial Services hooks them up with place to live\nMonthly welfare\n& even employment \n\nSo illegal migrants r going back South as they know when Conservatives win\nDeportations will be enforced like what is happening in U.S right now\n\nSanctuary cities is attracting them back into U.S. \n\nMany Independent Media covered going back to 2015\n\nRebel News\nDid several stories as well as others\n\nSo I guess I can only say\n\nHIW DOES IT FEEL !!\n\nCanada tried & tried to get American border guards to stop on ur end \n\nThis is result of in action by Biden/Trump & Justin Trudeau’s Lii is break govt

Migrant Industrial Complex \nThe insidious nature of our government is that it rapidly creates industrial complexes for anything and everything. Then once the money incentives are in place it's turns into a runaway process that results in 20k Haitians living in small towns like Springfield OH. Which could've handled 1k at best. What's the point of one of these people coming 10 thousand miles just to live under an American bridge.
2025-02-23 0
Look, I don't like Trudeau, especially as a Canadian, but that border arrangement was in place in December of last year. I have been telling people they were going across from here for the last 3 years, and nobody seemed to care. The only thing new is appointing a 'border czar'. Saying it's because of Trump is disingenuous.
2025-02-23 0
Please....Canadian borders account for less than 1% of the total people trying to get into the US. Over 99% come across the southern border. This is official accounting. Fox News is not a good source for this information. You make it sound like Canada had nothing in place until Trump came along and thousands of people are coming through Canada.
2025-02-23 0
Why not ask the same question to the European and Western countries? Asking such a question like they actually care about the wellbeing of the Palestinians. Why do Palestinians need to leave their land in the first place? The US and the Occupation need to keep their hands off Palestine.
2025-02-22 0
What a BS question. When coubtries take i refugees it is NOT because they like the process of creating them in the first place! Israel is asking 'why dont you let us create refugees so you can take them in'? How abput not making refugees in the first place?

This is what USA thinks. The truth is, Canada has been on the list of better places to live in the world many years in a row. The USA has never been on that list.\nCanada is for people who wants to work and earn their living. We are not an easy touch like other countries.\nWe also don't dumb down educational systems so as to make it easy for governments to pull the wool over their citizen's eyes. Only the greedy do that.\nWe know that everyone who live here in Canada must shoulder the cost of the benefits of living here and to work together to prosper.\nChris Biggar , Proud Canadian

These students can't complain about the student fee, Housing , food and living cost .\n\nU can blame trudue for lowering the standards for student visa. \n\nTo my knowledge from friends i know as students durring high-school vs students coming to study at college. \n\nPrior to this issue these a few mandatory requirements \n\n- parents most make over 200 k usd , and assets .\n\n- you must have xxx amount in usd dollars equivalent in your bank account and open a HSBC bank account with xxx amount \n\n - u must show you can afford for your child to stay at a mandatory homestay , all the associated cost staying and studying in canada for min 3 years \n\nJust passing the first 3 requirements, most ppl get rejected. \n\n- most leave the home stay due to culture differences and end up renting a 1 bed room condo. \nThat alone back in harper days was 20 k a year.\n\nMind you these students i met are from Vietnam, a 3rd world country where a university graduate with 2 degree will make only $500 usd which is consider a very good job . Its equivalent to5 k / month . \n\nSo thier dollar isn't worth much , for their parents to have that much money to send a 15 year old to study hs in a foreign country is a luxury only a selected few can dream of\n\nAlso none of them worked and work permit wasn't allowed. Even they were allow why would u when ur parents give u their debit card ~ visa card with allowance of 2- 3k to spend .\n\nInwould say 25% of these rich students go home within a year as they get home sick.\n\nToday standards\n\n- not many come as high school students as it's alot harder and still up hold strict standards as their still a minor. \n\n- college is easier route\nOnly have to prove u can afford the 1st. Year of study \n- a place to live\n- your parents can support you while ur here \n\nSo some one in India is faking the documents so they can come over strictly to work and pay for school and living cost. \n\nThis is why we have this problem. Even Vietnamese students doing this but alot work save all their money and go back home after their visa end. \n\nWhat ever they save in 3 years is like 10-20 years plus of saving working in Vietnam as these students are from.poor families barly getting by\n\nWith that being said, studying aboard is a luxury no matter what country ur from.\n\nImaginenthe cost of sending ur kids to the usa for school, most of will have to take. Out loans

I like Firstpost because she usually says it like it is. But this time she’s way too biased and went straight to play victim. Doesn’t she know how in places like Australia and Canada thousands of Indian people on temporary visas have taken to the streets to protest that these countries want to “deport” them when their visas are expired and they decided to overstay their welcome? Also, Indians used to be pretty quiet and kept to themselves… At least where I live! But lately they’re more and more unruly, and act like they own the place. A good dose of self-awareness wouldn’t hurt her.

We wrestle not against Flesh or Blood but against Powers against Principalities against the Rulers of this so called world against Spiritual Wickedness in High Places. One big Narrative, Pyramid Ponzi schemes where only the very few Profit, Control, Manipulate, Shape, Deceive Enslave humanity. A great Deception where Humanity is being played along like a Fiddle. Global Tyrannical Psychopathic Governments controlled by Secret Societies, Elites, Lobbyists not us the people. Time to wake up Everyone and take back our so called Democracy, Hypocrisy!!!!

I am Québécois, and things here are quite different from the rest of Canada. For example, we have a law here that clearly forbids wearing religious signs when in a position of authority. Even a teacher, because they are a figure of authority for their students, could not wear the Roman collar, a cassock, a hijab, a niqab or anything else of the sort while in school. In the streets or any other public place, there is no problem at all. Everyone is welcomed to express their difference of culture or religion in the way they dress or in whatever other way. They are treated with the same respect and kindness as anywhere else in Canada. It is only that the separation of religion and state, and religion and authority is paramount here. Everybody is free and can express themsleves freely. But don't use that freedom to impose your views onto others. \nSo, when American judges are chosen for the federal court specifically because of their christian fundamentalist biases, it doesn't resonate well at all for me or the majority of Québécois. When the rights of the LGBTQ+ community are being questioned or jeopardised. Or a previous federal judgement like Roe v Wade is being overturned for religious reasons... it is a definite turn off for all of the Québec people to even remotely consider the United States as a destination to emigrate to (supposing that one would want to leave our beautiful country).\nMore and more, America, that used to be recognized as the land of the free, appears to be retrograde and restrictive and definitely not so free.

Oh F.F.S... what will the girly boys do?? Bend over, show their butts like braveheart, then stand, present and hope for unicorns and freaken rainbows?? Delusion has no place in the military. Who you gonna defend??? Citizens ,whose tax dollars that pay you, w8th benefits, or your radical ideology?? On a payment given by the government that you want to obliterate?? Sounds like leftist, nazi hypocrisy..ambition. Silence opposition, if you can??

India should reciprocate the visa policy. While many Indians certainly lack civic sense, most white people & media going to India love to show how poor, smelly & dirty it is, rarely showing the good side. Like how they have declared a beautiful n vibrant country like Mexico, a dangerous place run by cartels ?

The reason for denying room to students is because they mess the place. Dont know how to maintain the place they live\n Not all are like tat but majority comes in. And i myself faced it. I gv my place to live to almost 5 different Indian students ar different times.. all messed the room also left me repairs which i had to spent. I had sympathy wen students come for accomodation so i gave a helping hand instead i ended up spending 1000s

Yeah no.. they aren’t violent! These look like truly responsible upstanding citizens ? Only pieces of ? pull stunts like this. The entitlement to think you have a right to break into another country.. So what’s next if they make it over? Breaking into tax payers homes and taking their shit? But nooo, let’s not go take that energy and place it where it belongs.. The government officials that run their jacked up countries right? Yep, makes perfect sense ??‍♀️
