CNN thx for leaving comments ON. Now now, Trudeau isn't liked much by his own ppl. He wants to look tough by replying with more tarrifs of his own and hurting his own people. While trying to say US is bad yet doing the very same thing while saying he didn't have a choice when he did. He's a liar. Now its fine if he wants to place tarrifs, he's free to do whatever. But ppl already chose a conservative leader, and i think if he plays ball with Trump, Canada will have lots to win.

CNN correspondence never gives the more impactful concerns - in this case, the concern should be the fact that DT is attacking Canada, our friends, and Mexico, our friends - because he's a fkn traitor - and the US Constitution that says it's our American duty to stop people like him. The government and the common people must be overlooking these crimes and willing to give up their rights and freedoms. The original KGB and the long running Putin agenda is the slow game in his global conquest for power. You have to consider the geopolitics. If Mexico and Canada won't defend us (because they hate Trump) DT can/will sell out America to Russia, in turn Canada would be the closest place to conquer, then Mexico. A Canadian here who can't agree with the disparaging comments about Trudeau. He has done more good than some earlier Prime Ministers. Enjoying the new free dental coverage he just established? I disagree with him here though when he says Canadians don't hold this tariff thing against Americans. WE DO! You're the ones who elected this wrecking ball who destroys everything (and everyone) he touches. I encourage all our Europeans friends to buy Canadian whenever possible.

As an individual Japanese, I cannot stand the current US president and vice president. I demand an impeachment trial. In order to protect America and the American people, these two people who do not call Russia a dictatorship, call Ukraine a dictatorship, and refuse to use Russia's frozen assets should be impeached. I loved the speech of PM Trudeau- but one thing he kept saying is wrong. Our government did not do this - One man did this via executive orders. He does not care who he hurts. He does not care about the American people. Trump only cares about himself and his relationship with Mother Russia and Putin. TRUMP doesn't want peace. He is thriving on the chaos that he and Musk are initiating. Trump needs to be impeached immediately but our Congresmaen and women, who are supposed to represent their populations are too scared to do anything other than what Trump tells them to do. Our Government is supported to have a Check and Balance function, but none of the branches have the guts to stand up to TRump. I really believe that Trump's American first policy is to end up as America ALONE.

Look, I'm not going to say that Donald Trump is a Russian asset, but what I will say is that if I personally was a Russian asset, I'd be doing the exact same things that Donald Trump is doing. I'm sure that's just a strange coincidence.

The reason for this 'trade war' is not about 'trade'. It's about 'creating chaos' so that president Trump is the 'centre' of world attention. A malignant naracistic individual apparently cannot have anyone seemingly to be 'doing better' or being more successful than he is. Canada ?? is a very successful nation and because of its economic success it is creating envy and apparently hatred in certain individuals who view the success of Canada ?? as a threat to themselves. The USA now apparently cannot see the value of a strong and stable economy as its near neighbours. Thats why apparently there are some who now want to crash the Canadian economy and when times then 'get tough' the blame and responsibility for this chaos will be accepted by whom. Presidents and Prime Ministers come and go. Once their 'term is over' they simply 'walk away'. World leaders need to be men or women of integrity and honesty who 'do the right thing'. With 'great power' comes 'great responsibility'. You only 'give responsibility' to someone who has the wisdom and expertise and understanding in order to both 'hold' and 'govern' wisely and without fear or favor. Maybe its time for others in positions of authority in other institutions to step in and 'take control'. You would never let a child drive a super car on the highway so how much 'damage' has to happen before a world leader is not 'held to account' and his 'hands removed' from the steering wheel before there is a motor accident so large that the freeway is rendered unless and has to be totally shut down your. You cannot have total power in the hands of individuals who apparently do not possess the necessary skills knowledge and experience and wisdom that is required to fulfil the role they were elected to fulfil. A person with the mind and mentality of a child apparently is not a fit person to be running the economy of any nation. May Canada ?? remember its roots and may we all be thankful for true and honest leaders who have integrity and do and say the right thing. Thank you Mr Prime minister. Reading as much as I could of the comments below, it is with great respect that we as human can still care for one another even when we are from different countries, continents, backgrounds an so one. Evil will always try to do it's thing and we must come together to abolish it. Being from different countries in this situation is not much we can do. Maybe stop importing from America, at least till this administration is gone in 4 years. The way it's going , America will lose a lot of it's allies and unless tyranny and dictatorship follows, we will vote the so called politicians out of office and claim our rights to a better way of life. The only thing Trudeau got wrong on his speech was to say that Trump is a smart man. Any attempted appeasement of Trump is simply not worth it.

Trump signed the free trade agreement with Canada 5 years ago and he has proven the America is not to be trusted and treaties are meaningless. Trump, and by extension America, has walled itself in to keep the world out. Americans have been less than welcome in some places, now those places include their neighbours. Carrying American dollars and the American flag abroad will not be looked at the same as it was just last year.
