You have been spot on about the situation in Canada, except for one thing. The Canadian government pays employers to employ foreign workers and foreign students. As a tenth generation Canadian( more up the native side ) I really resent being told by kalistanies that it's their land and all white people need to go back to Europe. They are very bold and obnoxious. Canadians are also edged out of spots in legitimate post secondary schools, because they make foreign students pay more. So they take them first. This is very racist to both Canadians and foreign students. First nobody should have to pay more than anyone else for the same service or goods. That's racist to foreign students. And the fact that they are taking foreigners first is racist to Canadians. The schools should be taking students by merit. You are right. Canada has fallen. But once we get captain shmuck out of office we will pick ourselves up. It won't be easy but we can do it. While we're at it I think most of these woke libtards need a good spanking.

Rents and forget about buying a house in BC, AB, Quebec, Ontario. High unemployment, Inflation is high and going up more. We also do not have a military defense system and the U.S. is tired of Canada not spending money to meet their responsibility as a Nato country. Many Canadians are leaving the country permanent. Investors and businesses are pulling out. Canada is trillions in debt but keep printing more money (toilet paper). Canada has gone downhill significantly over the past ten years. Born Canadians and legit immigrants having to go through a rigorous immigration process are very unhappy and cause conflict. Besides all the different ethnicities cause unrest and are ungrateful, daring the burn the Canadian flag, uttering death to Canada, death the US and Israel. These trouble makers have not intentions to assimilate into Canada's culture and are disrespectful to the Canadian government and it's citizens. Our youth are very unhappy and do not see a future for themselves yet have to work very hard and pay unbelievable high taxes. The minimum wages are only 15 bucks an hour which cannot sustain life here in this country. Please stop making false promises to foreigners to come here and be disappointed. This is not a country of milk and honey any longer but poor and enormous homelessness. Hunger, terrible health care, incredible post secondary tuitions and books. Now that president Trump has won the election he is going to place tariffs on Canadian goods and rightfully so. Russia is very interested in the Antarctica and should they or anyone invade Canada we got 3 days of ammunition. The food in AB is very bad for your health. Everything has pesticides, hormones, and by the time fruit and vegies arrive here from the US all the nutrition have gone. A extremely high cancer rate, young and old, diabetes, depression and other mental disorders are rampant. Our children and grandchildren do not have a future so why bother going to school or work. Our kids live on the streets, shelters, camping in the woods and using fentanyl and meth all kinds of dangerous drugs. The cities and small towns are full of used needles, pipes, and more paraphelia just thrown on the trails everywhere. The US will not assist Canada when a possible War 3 will occur, and we the people of Canada and the land are easy prey. If you do not believe me, just come visit RED Deer shelters and walk around on the trails, go to Vancouver but becareful because random assaults are happening every day, people living in tents, using the streets as toilets, drugs galore, even the police is unable to act nor arrest criminal activities caused by desperate people who need to survive. Canada's economy is about to collapse and fall into a recession. We have too many people coming in our country without checking their back ground and many criminals and terrorist groups are entering declaring refugee status whether it is true or not, we do not know. The people of Canada who work and pay highest taxes are used to house these newcomers and education, jobs, food and money. Our government take better care of these illegal people than their own people especially our youth. So please let us not pretend Canada is a land of opportunity and great. I dont mind the indians since i dont live in an area with too many indians. Well i do (markham) but what annoys me (not tryna sound racist but i just need to say it) theres a lot of chinese here and markham's demographics is like 27-19% european and indians are 19% here but here we have nearly 50% chinese out of our like what 368,000 citizens.. i dont mind them but everywhere i go i hear people speaking chinese, posters in chinese, even some teachers have been teaching more chinese than canadian history at my sisters school. My PE class is 18 chinese kids, 3 white kids, 3 indians and 3 black people. See what i mean.. They're smart and keep to themselves but in my experience they're pretty loud and can often be a bit rude and a lot of the times a bit racist too. Edit: before anyone asks yes i am white. I am not trying to be racist but I would just like someone to hear me out. I think people in Brampton are having similar issues.

Student visa’s always been easier way to get in to any country, and yes, easier to get in Canada than any other country. Go home and apply for permanent residency like others do so through proper steps! No more student visa as the back door to get in this country. If universities can’t run their schools without fees from international students, they should shut it down. Canadian universities are a joke with poor quality programs and faculty members. They need a complete overhaul.

Our Universities are heavily subsidized and Nurses and Doctors take advantage of this, If Trudeau/Pierre wants to stop our doctors and nurses who graduate going to the USA right after school, They should make them pay back the portion of their education that the taxpayers paid for and never received any healthcare from, It should be you have to work in Canada after graduating for 5 years before moving out of Canada, and if they do, then they pay around $150,000 to break the contract compounded with interest from when they started and finished university/college. I know someone who graduated Nursing in the 1990's, She went to a convention in Toronto, Where she was quickly swayed to move the USA, Its because Nursing here is a 3yr course in the USA its a 6 month course, they aren't educated nearly as much as Canadians, A Canadian nurse can be a GP in rural areas of the USA, Also the Nurse I know within a year was made head nurse of her ward, Bypassing USA Nurses that have been working at the hospital for 10+ years, due to the extra education, This is a big problem, we are educating Nurses and Doctors for the USA and other Nations funded by Taxpayers, Sure Nurses and Doctors do also pay some, but its closer to 1/3 of the actual cost, the other 2/3rd's is taxpayer funded. She's still working in the USA and still never helped 1 single Canadian. 30yrs later!!. I don't know about you, But I think this needs to be addressed and fixed once and for all.

You don't know why food bank usage increased. You're making assumptions and stating that is fact. Thank you for summarizing these key changes! Many problems are actually the Canadian immigration system not learning from the mistakes of the US system and now it’s suffering the same consequences. If Canada cuts down on those selected immigrations but still takes in refugees, it’s only going to make anti-immigrant sentiment worse. Selected immigrants are allowed into Canada to help alleviate Canadian issues…or at least people who come through Express Entry are less likely to become a burden. On the other hand, refugees, given their unfortunate circumstances, really need to rely on a lot of social services and resources to help them resettle. The US has eliminated pretty much all non-humanitarian immigration that’s why immigrants are so demonized there. Americans only feel the drags of refugees and asylum seekers (even though ethically we need to protect them) and there is no selected immigration to balance that out. Yet this round of Canadian policy change is heading exactly that direction.\n\nIt used to be international students in Canada are not paying a lot more tuition than Canadian students. But Canadian universities saw how much money universities in the US are making so they asked the federal government to change the policy to enable them to charge international students several times the regular tuition (whereas in countries like France, international students actually pay less than citizens). So now Canadian universities rely too much on international students to operate and it becomes an exploitative relationship even before students step foot on the campus. The new PGWP eligibility is awful because students can make contributions in every field. It might (and that's a big if) address the pressing problems, but it won't help Canada grow.\n\nI thought the new language requirement was interesting. Some Canadians who immigrated decades ago when the bar was really low still speak English poorly and now they are saying people can’t come to Canada because their language skills are not sufficient. Another point about language is if you apply through Express Entry now, even if you scored the highest language score, given how competitive the pool is, you still won’t get selected. So it’s a given that you need to be fluent in one of the languages at least to get an invitation. But I believe a good Canadian life is not about living in a high rise in Vancouver and Toronto, driving an expensive car, or buying luxury items...it's about the communities, nature and middle-class comfort. So the system is giving PRs to the wrong kind of people (just like mismatched people when hiring that don't align with company values).\n\nThis brings me to the last frustrating issue. There were so many people who attended “fake” universities and bought “fake” jobs to earn points to get an Express Entry invitation. And it's clear that the government wasn't proactively catching these abuses. They are taking up spots from those who try to earn the points fair and square. If I understand correctly, Canada doesn’t send these people away if they are found out (since some of them were scammed). I have visited Canada many times, hiking trails through the coastline and fjords, climbing mountains and glaciers. I have probably seen more Canada than many Canadians and I love every bit of it. But the opportunity for me to even get a shot to move there is pretty much nonexistent now. Hello Anna and Anastasia your channel is truly a hidden gem full of useful information and insight. I am an international student myself and I agree with all your points in the video, Canada used immigration to fix a deeper problem and that is its difficulty to incentivize the economy by having a heavily regulated environment, high taxes and low productivity. It will definitely alleviate some of the pressure on the system but, the real cause is still there. The first sector that is going to be affected will be the education as colleges and universities became over reliant with the revenue coming from Int. Students (which is not particularly small) and institution will need to adapt. When I first came here I fell in love with the country and I really feel fortunate to enjoy this beautiful place and doing everything to assimilate and integrate myself into the culture. I think here you can have a sense of hope of things improving in the future (something that is not the case in my home country) but if they do not fix the underlying problem it does not matter how much immigration they reduce, Canadians will not see a significant improvement. Keep the awesome work!!!

I have ethnic background from Hong Kong and have been living in Canada for almost 40 years. I love Canada and am proud of this beautiful country. However, I think part of the immigration problem we have is the ongoing issue of allowing dual citizenship of everyone who have become a Canadian citizen. I have personally known lots of HK immigrants who would return to their own countries to work as soon as they have got their Canadian passports. Normally one of the parents would stay with their children here for free schooling, medical care and child tax benefits. Their children will follow their parents to go back to HK after they graduated from universities in order to avoid the higher income tax . Unfortunately, those parents will come back to retire in Canada so that they can get free health care benefits and OAS once they have fulfilled the residency requirement of 10 years. Canada do need more skilled and educated immigrants to make our country more prosperous but not those who try to take advantage of our lenient immigration policies. I think we should take back the passports of those who have left Canada for more than 2 years or those who have evaded taxes so that we do not continue to support those never contributed to our country. PS, I mentioned about HK only because of my origin and I believe the same problem would be caused by immigrants from other countries too.

Immigrants are so massive, that is scary mostly in big cities, we don't have this problem in the countryside. It is so rare to see new comers that had choose to work and live into 40 000 population city like mine. They are very welcome, we lack so much on workforce in every jobs and it is much more easy to find a place to stay. The biggest problem isn't immigration, it is those new jobs opportunities created when we still don't have workers to fill the gap elsewhere who need it most!\nAlso. immigrants to tends to choose living and working in cities as Montreal, Vancouver or Toronto. Canada isn't limited in those cities. Towns, countryside are options, the living cost of rent is lower, house cost less and driving 30minutes to 1 hour on the road to go work is what most does Canadian.

Immigration needs to stop entirely. I would go so far as to send asylum seekers that are already here elsewhere, or send them home. These incompetents are just now listening to what Canadians have been screaming and shouting for two years. \nStill not nearly enough. It needs to almost stop and whatever remains should be broad based in terms of where immigrants are coming from. It’s mainly been South Asia and mostly India for past few years. \nWhat’s wrong with their heads? Why can’t they see what’s been going on?

This is disheartening... this means that my husband will never be able to live with us. My children will grow up without their father, and for some reason, Canadians are OK with Canadian children growing up in a broken home. It's going to take 35 months, for my husband to be able to immigrate to this country. That's 2 1/2 year that my kids won't have a dad, our son especially is suffering. He has a serious disease, is often hospitalized, and I'm a married woman living as a single mother. Now I'll need to rely on the government for more financial support, and my 6 year old is actually depressed because his dad is years away from being with him. I work full time, have a great home, and a side business. But now I'll need to depend on meds and disability support to take care of my child, when he has an ablebodied father that can support us, especially when our child is in one of his regular hospitalization. You all are cruel.

There should be zero immigrants coming to this country right now. This government needs to help the sick, disabled, addicted Canadians befire any other people. There are Canadians living on the streets while they watch immigrants stroll into hotels & get new phones & money for just about everything. \n\nThis is more smoke blowing! Nope! 2:20 bringing in the 3rd world is NOT the solution to our aging demographic problem. We need to encourage young Canadians to have more children by offering affordable housing, lower taxes and higher paycheques. If in the future Canada was ever to go to war these immigrants and refugees assholes will tuck their tails between their legs and run to another country. We need a population that is patriotic and will fight to defend Canada.

The interviewer should have framed his question regarding terrorists coming into Canada and how it effects Canadians.. Instead he had to specify the Jewish community. I'm tierd of Canada being split into communities... We need to all be represented under one community and stop all this divisive grouping. If we are going to be a multicultural society that lives in harmony.. We need to get back to being Canadian first. Your ethnic religious and or race identity should not enter into politics as it relates to being Canadian! Our laws and rights are to be provided to everyone without prejudice.

There are majorly two types of ' outsiders ' that the government takes in : students and asylum seekers. Seen purely from financial viewpoint, homing and providing for the latter group makes no sense at all. They are a permanent leakage of funds without return..\nRegarding students, there are the undergrads who pay 5X times the Canadian students and they are the shock absorbers for fee burden on Canadian students. This category is precious, especially those studying in reputed colleges. Then there's the student who comes for post graduation studies, doesn't pay as much a undergrad but still a valuable resource. Then there's the diploma students who make studies as an excuse to get into the UberEATS, mcdo kind of Job market. Cap on them may be needed to protect Canadian interests. However the last category comes mainly from one province in India who has political clout in Canada, so it is the hardest to curb. Without making this distinction, if the government is going to lump all categories of students as one, then they are throwing the baby with the bathwater.\nIn any case, the person who gets the best of both worlds is the Chinese-Canadian

No! These are supposed to be intelligent people. You do your homework before considering going to another country, especially as a student. My parents couldn't raise that kind of money to pay for me to study in another country, or even in my own country. Life isn't fair, but Canadians need priority to be housed in Canada. India has very good schools at affordable prices for Indians, and also very high prices for international students. I looked into studying in India and I couldn't afford it as an International student. India should re evaluate its priorities, before spending billions on space programs. India should also decide who it wants to be friends with. I am sure there are lots of good schools in Russia, who right now it prefers over the West.

How does she identify herself as Canadian? Her ancestors also came from Europe. She also need to go back to Europe?

Please when you mention international students just rephrase it to international Indian students because they are the only ones protesting. They need to go back to their country. Canada need to place only Canadian staff in consulate and embassy there to stop this massive influx of students from there

What’s really sad is that this weekend? I went to the mall I went to Tim Hortons. We went to Wendy’s and every single employee was an international student. What is really sad is they are taking these jobs away from Canadian born children who need these jobs to go to universityor government didn’t think through this. The quality of medical care is comparable between the 2 countries, however Americans still have a shorter life expectancy (compared to all other developed nations, not just Canada) because co-pays, deductibles, and insurance premiums keep people from getting earlier diagnosis’ that would save their lives. \n\nI find that Americans see Canadian healthcare through an American lens, thinking that we can only go to certain doctors, cannot get second opinions, or that the medical industry isn’t competitive but none of that is true. Our healthcare allows us to go to go anywhere and to get second opinions if needed. We pay zero out of pocket and never see a bill.
