One important point you missed is no proper heathcare in canada. India is far, far ahead in healthcare. Healthcare is very important for many people. Especially if someone wants their parents to stay in canada.

Lets keep i real. The desire that most immigrants have is homeostasis which is the familiar. All humans do this. Individually indians are usually smart and decent people. But in groups ( and this doesnt just include indians) you get this group thinking that is prejudice against anyone who isnt one of their own. Im fairly certain its a good demonstration of what a different culture would experience in their own country. This is especially noticeable in markem with the Chinese population. \n\nLet me say this loud and clear. We didnt let you come here so you could start your own countries inside of our country. And beleive me, your gunna get rocked and put in your place if you guys keep coming here and being disrespectful. That goes for the any culture who is putting themselves first at the expense of other Canadians, and im not talking about white canadians im talking about all Canadians from anywhere. We re all equal and you will not be allowed to position your selves in a way that gives you immunity to these values. \n\nIm getting really tired of going into business like tim hortons and knowing what the nationality of the owner is by just looking around at the staff who work in fhe business. We let you have a seat at our table to break bread with us in a mutually benifital relationship. But what is pretty evident is that a lot of these people dont like us and if it was up to them we wouldnt exist. They fail to behave in a way that acknowledges the truth. That the family whos heritage is of this land, built this house that your living in. With our low corruption goverments , our clean drinking water, our free health care and education system, with our opportunities that make it possible through merit and hard work that it doesnt matter what family or where you were born. These are attractive features of canada that play a role in why people want to come here. And leave where they were. Its it logical to think that you have more to learn about us then we do of you? Not being on some selfish punk shit is canadas greatest strength. Its that same inclusives mentality that keep the government corruption very small which empowers the citizens to make them successful and able to contribute more back into this system. The very nature of hoarding resources for ones family, same culture, etc are the same oppressive situations many of these people left their countries to seek better opportunities. But once given those opportunities and a chance to decide for themselves, a lot of these people use their liberties to create exclusion and hostility toward out groups. The indians do this in a very overt in your face way, the chinese are more polite about it but both have this way of looking out for their own and not being concerned with anyone else. As far as im conerned you should all be split up and dispersered to live in different provinces and cites. I know this isnt realitic but it would save them from what a lot of them are gunna end up be exposed to which is experiences with native born Canadians who are going to very rudly show you what happens when you disrespectf someone in their own home. \n\nThe party is over. it worked the first time he instituted these tariffs in 2016, I suspect it will work again, because Canada and Mexico have no real leverage. they can say they will fight back with their own tariffs but its a losing game for them because, they are a luxury for us. we dont need them. they need us far more than we need them. and thats why despite grumbling they caved in last time. they will do the same, you just have to let them get it out of their system like a toddler and try and save face for a bit.

American trade accounts for only 24% of its massive GDP. if you removed all trade from america, it would still have larger economical output than china, mexico and canada COMBINED. yes. Trump doesn't accept calls from Canada ofc because this is not about border security nor the 1% fentanyl going into the US. Llet's remember that the US GDP is 30.34 trillion dollars. Canada is only 2.33 trillion. Just one of the fifty States, California, has a GDP of over 4 trillion, almost twice as much as Canada. The total amount imported from Canada to the US per year is about 450 billion US dollars of goods. The US has the advantage by far in staying power here. A lot of Indians treat white people really badly. Especially when there is money involved. It’s now extremely common that people here hate dealing with Indians as customers of their business and will go as far as avoid it altogether. They will often relentlessly try to negotiate services, lie and say anything to get get their way, pester businesses until they cave to their demands and even leave bad reviews which they say they will change if you give them a good deal. None of this is the way things are done in Canada and that needs to be respected. Something kind of funny, I’ve heard many people say that Indians will often say they will refer tons of friends and family to a business if you give them an unreasonable discount (which they never do once they’ve gotten what they want), but what they don’t realize is that referring a bunch more Indians to them is the last thing that business wants. And really, some of the discounts they want on things are just ridiculous. When I was selling my car a few years ago, I had it listed for $55,000 and I got bombarded by Indians offering $20,000-$25,000 and every lie under the sun of why that’s all it was worth, other people are saying yes to offers like that for the same car, dealerships are selling them for that much and so on. Like come on. And I guess while I’m at it, I hate to say but it’s a common thing here to walk into a gas station and the smell of body odour just hits you like a brick. I’ve stopped going to 3 different stations because of it. I’m sure there’s some pungent white people out there but damn. This is on a whole other level. It literally fills the entire building.

I think the Canadian government has made it far too easy for anyone to immigrate. As an Indian living in India, I can attest that many of us look for the easiest way out and often lack a strong moral compass. Additionally, most of us struggle with adapting to new environments, possibly due to an archaic education system that emphasizes rote learning over conceptual understanding. Many Indians also face challenges with proficiency in the English language.\n\nUnfortunately, Canada’s relatively lenient immigration policies have allowed a significant number of unskilled individuals from India to settle there. Many of these individuals have been reluctant to embrace Canadian culture. Corruption may have played a role as well, with some local Canadian colleges and universities admitting students who lacked merit. Given the extreme levels of corruption in India, this is not surprising.\n\nThe root issue lies in the Canadian government’s lack of strictness and vigilance when formulating immigration rules and policies. Many Indians, frustrated with the current government and financial hardships, seek to leave the country in hopes of a better life in the West. While educated individuals follow proper processes, the uneducated often resort to questionable means. In Canada’s case, this negligence on the part of both governments has had unfortunate consequences.\n\nI hope stricter policies and more accountability lead to better outcomes in the future.

In Australia you need to pay 45% income tax plus 2% medical Levy surcharge\n3. High cost of living? I think the cost of living in London of UK and Sydney of Australia are also exceptionally high. The cost of living affordability depends on the income of the migrants. Low income working class will feel the cost of living and housing pressure. But this applies to all countries, including SF of US, Toronto of Canada, Sydney of Australia, London of UK\n4. Rise in crime: I do not understand this logic as the migrants left Canada to US - the city of LA, New York, Seattle and Chicago are far worse than in Canada \n5. Limited Career opportunities: the only country that has better career opportunities is US. As a Canadian, I see the relationship with Trump as very toxic. Not long ago, we detained under house arrest Meng Wanzhou (Huawei exec) at the request of Trump. He used her as a bargaining chip for trade between the US and China. Remember that? Canada had to do it (to show others that we keep our word when it comes to treaties). In the end, he cancelled the request, after several years and 2 Canadians being arrested in retaliation by China. So we degraded OUR relationship with China... and for what? The whims of an Orange man. \n\nAnd now we are at it again. Trump is playing Canada against Mexico! I trust Mexico more than I trust Trump's America. And Mexico's incoming President is far more intelligent, and comes across with much more integrity than Trump ever will. WAKE UP, CANADA, US and MEXICO! Canada needs to put all of these agents in jail. CEO's of Corporations that hire them replacing Canadians must be charged and fined. This has been going on for far too long. Canadians have put up with this and have led to leaving them homeless and on the streets.

We shouldve had the same immigration laws as America. We share one of the largest borders in the world. It makes sense that if Canada doesnt want people in america crossing that america doesnt want those in Canada crossing. Why would we have two incredibly different immigration laws? Laws far too lenient that its not only hurt canada, but now America.

wow this is just an opinion video of sorts, but guess i'm proud to live in montreal. i own the last army surplus store here. 1423 st laurent. i love montreal as a city, the food is second to none for all of north america. um, weather is full winter during dec to feb. i also live near magog in the eastern townships which is beautiful.\ni've been to pei, love it there, great beaches and very quiet. never been to BC, and living here, i would never visit the middle of canada, just flat and boring and drugs are a big problem and homelessness. cabot trail in ( i did it on bicycle) is fabulous. quebec city, amazing.\ni'm a proud canadian and surely there are far worse countries in the world to live in. but when i retire full time , it will leave for a warmer climate (snow bird) in the winter. not florida, too busy and not nearly as nice as the Caribbean, i go to Curacao 1 month every winter. perfect weather and being dutch has great food and is safe island and beaches are second to none........

The housing shortage is a common thread to the economic/ housing crisis! But why aren’t they building rental units??? Simple, would you build a plane if your passengers simply boarded the plane and refused to pay?? if that were to happen the offending passengers would be de-planed and arrested! \nBut when it comes to renters, they can move in, stop paying rent and it can take 6-12 months to legally evict them. As a former contractor I have been witness to landlords offering cash to tenants and squatters to leave their properties which have always been left trashed and badly damaged! The laws that protect these criminals are a joke and predatory tenants know it! I had a client who rented her condo to a lawyer and after a couple months the tenant stopped paying. She filed for a writ of possesion and waited months for the hearing. She brought all the documentation and the tenant showed up claiming they had cancer ( no documentation, letter from doctors Nothing!) The writ of possession was denied for compassionate reasons! The landlord had a mortgage and was paying the condo maintenance fees, the tribunal didn’t care! \nThey set it aside for six months. In the end cash was offered and the tenant left! After the massive clean up and damage was repaired it was put on the market! This is how far left Canada has gone! There’s simply no way forward!

They better not have been let into Canada. Send them home, stay in your country and work to make it better. Stop destroying our country for your gain. Thats was their decision not ours dont make it sound like we are at fault. Tried of them crying about how they want to be let in illegally. Stop them at the source why do they even get this far.

The standard of living is far too low here, the land of no opportunity. I have a plan to move to Australia in 2 years, I'm done. Their wages are way higher, they get double the time off per year, they actually have work not the fake labour shortage we advertise here and cost of living is high but not as bad as here. They manage their resources better, diversified their economy more and have set in motion plans to build a ton of new homes now and well into the future. Bye Canada, enjoy your two class society.

I didn’t see many comments on the education system. \n\nThe quality of the US education in elementary, middle and high school is far less than in Canada. Post secondary has young people getting out of school with exorbitant debt.\n\nIt just another reason not to move to the US.

Yeah the government is going hard after immigrants right now, which is good because there was a lot of abuse and the rate of immigration was far too high, but also it's not the root of the problem where housing is concerned. \n\nIn this way, immigrants are a scapegoat for the housing crisis. They're being offered up as sacrificial lambs to the slaughter by our politicians in the hopes that it will appease voters. But at the same time our politicians also hoping that we don't notice how little they're doing to actually solve the real fundamental problems.\n\nBut solving those problems will require a complete shift in our approach to the finance sector and the tax code, as well as towards city planning and housing policy in general. These are things we can achieve. But not without significant adjustments to the status quo. And if there's one thing the status quo hates, it's changes to the status quo.\n\nSo here's what I expect from our politicians in years to come: more of the same empty promises and half measures. They'll keep doing that until there's a massive market correction and everyone in Canada loses their shirt. And then they'll continue doing the same empty promises and half measures, while hypocritically blaming the rival party for their own failures.

Here in central Canada, we have LOADS of elderly East Indian immigrants, on top of the hords of younger ones. \n\nYou know your system is garbage when u bring in 100000s of thousands of immigrants u know will never contribute to a society, yet will gladly take benifits and the far more expensive health care; which is already veey overburdened. \n\nIts insanity!! I understand the principle of family reunification, but u can not do it without crushing the services of the host nation. It's just simple math.?
