Muslims dont understand secularism. Their religion is violent and oppressive toward women. And a high percentage of muslims support the Sharia. Muslims themselves need to take responsibility for their image. The niqab - as she says, is anti feminist. It always amazes me how Islamic women are their own worst oppressors. If they continue to hold onto their 5th century views, yes they will be rightfully oppressed, particular when they begin to ask for special treatment in public life. The fact that the activist fears for her life speaks volumes.

Of course the anti-muslim culture is getting worse. They come into this country, yet don't embrace the country they choose to call home. Ban their dress code, (we wear pajamas at night, not while shopping), take the veils off the women's heads and faces (like they don't allow Western dress in their rat-infested countries). I will also take it to another level as in gang wear as signaling to other women that they are some how more moral and better than them. These women I truly have no hope for. They are attention seekers.The only way to go is to have it banned so that women who are forced into it can now have the RITE once it is law to not feel guilty or have guilt subliminally  placed upon them for not wearing it.

If women are really given a higher status in Islam, why is it that under Islam a woman's testimony is only half that of a man's in Sharia court. A Muslim woman does not have the right to divorce if her husband refuses but the Muslim husband can divorce her anytime and can even marry as many as four wives but the Muslim woman can not. A Muslim woman inherits only half that of a man's in her family under Shariah Law. So how can she say that woman are given a higher status in Islam? More importantly, why is it that a Muslim woman who defies her parents especially in forced marriages become victims of honor killings? Why is it Muslim girls are subjected to female genital mutilation in most if not all Muslim countries?

There is a real fear of Muslims and people wearing hijab and burqa because their faces are hidden so if they do something bad to somebody, how do you identify them? The Muslim women must conform with the tradition of their host country.

These men should start fighting for their country and refuse to put the women and children in danger. Dragging everybody across the desert isn't working in anybody' s favor these days.

I don't know why the hijab gets people so angry. No one freaks out about Amish women or nuns covering their hair. Why is this any different? We all wear clothes (most of us) so why is the amount of clothing a person wears such a big deal? Just as some Christian women would find it inappropriate to leave the house in short shorts and a crop top, some Muslim women find it inappropriate to leave the house with their hair showing. No big deal.

I am a 16 years old muslim from egypt, and I am saying that what ISIS are doing is against Islam, my relative was in the Egyptian army while he was shot by ISIS terrorists, what I am trying to say to all the world is that ISIS targets everyone, wether a muslim or non-muslim, they keep bombing masjids as well as churches, they keep killing thousands of muslims and christians in many states. ISIS islam is totally different from the Islamic values that I was raised based on as a kid. If the government of Canda wants to fight it, then they should take these steps.\n1- They should have a security cameras secretly placed in islamic schools and masjids\n2- They should have a security bars over the masjid doors to check if any one who enters the masjids has unouthorized materials\n3- They should have a continous and a strong link between the intelligence and the islamic centeres as this may help greatly in fighting back terrorist attacks\n4- They should give muslims equal rights, consideration, and responsibility to those of non muslim canadians as banning something may add the fuel to the fire.\n5- Those who have hate towards the nation should not be allowed in\n6- Measures should be taken to reduce hate crimes\n\nJust to inform you that those muslims who are living in Canada, most of them are either refugees or converts, those refugees have harsh conditions in their countries due to civil wars, thats why they fled the country. In Egypt, were the population is 90% muslim, there are 9% christians, mostly were Coptic Orthodox Christianity, and they are living side by side with muslims peacefully without any violence or discrimination. Muslims have ruled Jerusalem for many centuries and Jews, Muslims, and Christians lived side by side peacefully without any violence or discrimination. Those terrorist have nothing to do with Islam, they are claiming that they are muslims but they are actually not.\n\nBut, what I am surprised about is that those muslims living in Canada that is shown on this videos are very religious and they are a tiny percentage of all muslim population in Canada, In fact, a study survey in France says that before the Ban of Burqa, of 4 million muslim women living in France only 368 muslim women actually wore it, many muslim westerns dont even wear the Hijab except when they are praying. Even of Burqa was banned, this will never reduce the statistics of terrorism.

It is a sign of respect for women to cover their faces? I take it as an act of disrespect that you hold me in such low regard that I am not permitted to see your face. Facial expressions are critical in communication, not to mention our ability to simply identify you.

The existence of the niqàb is oppressive and disrespectful to women. I don't blame the people's reaction at all. That thing has no place in a free society. Obviously we shouldn't ban them though.
