This is missing SOOOO much of the actual story of what is going on over here. There is a lot of corruption in our housing market fueled by faked incomes just for starters. That's not including the massive supply and demand crunch we are facing on multiple fronts from having too much people suddenly, to having not enough housing suddenly. For those curious, you can find some CBC marketplace videos that cover some of this from a couple years back. The banks have been caught f'ing around as well, what with pushing through mortgage requests that should never have been allowed to occur; and that's just what we know about. \n\nNo offense to anyone in this video, or anyone else like them. Im from the UK and I just left. QC and the French speakers are the reason, its a recent law change. They dictate if you can have have PR based on your language ability and nothing else. I worked at the worlds largest video games studio as a senior developer, a degree, a decade in my field and I couldn't get PR but I lived above a jobless drug addict from Paris that could speak French and they had PR. I couldn't buy a house, I couldn't start a family without it. I moved to the states instead.

My visa got rejected twice. I was really disappointed. Now in hindsight, i think it was for good. As the video depicts, soon Canada will be left without immigrants.
