I AM ALONE AND ISOLATED. BLACK PEOPLE HATE ME IN THIS COUNTRY AND WHITE PEOPLE CAN SEE THAT. PLEASE DO NOT PISS THEM OFF BECAUSE I AM TERRIFIED. ESPECIALLY SINCE BLACK PEOPLE TREAT ME AS IF THEY ARE DISGUSTED AND ANNOYED WITH ME. SOMETHING COULD HAPPEN AND NO ONE WOULD CARE AND NO ONE WOULD KNOW. WHYTE PEOPLE HAVE GOTTEN LESS FRIENDLY IN RECENT YEARS SO THEY ARE BEING LESS SNEAKY WITH IT WHICH ISNT A PROBLEM. THEY SEE HOW WE TREAT EACHOTHER. WE ARE SHOWING THEM HOW TO TREAT US BY MISTREATING AND OSTRACIZING EACHOTHER

As I keep saying. Our choices are $hit soup or $hit salad. Now pick! Right now South America is a place where I feel less oppressed. The MOMENT my feet hit the tarmac. AND the cost of living is less by our cost of living here. America is fighting a losing battle. We are getting mobile, and we are learning that America is not the only game in town.

I have spent significant time in Calgary, Vancouver, and Victoria and was stunned by how much less white racism I encountered than anyplace in the US. \nWe had car trouble out in the country, and white guys stopped to help us out. If it had been in the US I would have been prepared to fight, judging by the way they looked. This woman's story is very subjective and personal. It is just her story.\nI know two retired Black men, both engineers, who spent their careers in Edmonton.

WHY DO SPORTS FIGURES WHO MAKE MILLIONS MOVE TO WHITE AREAS? LESS CRIME? CLEANER STREETS? NO DRUG DEALING OUT IN THE OPEN? NO MASS SHOOTING? AND IN GENERAL MOSTLY RESPECT ONE ANOTHER. AND DONT VOTE THE SAME BAD PEOPLE IN OFFICE OVER AND OVER?. AND THEY TEACH THEY KIDS NOT TO DISRESPECT OTHERS?. HUMMM I SEE A PATTERN HERE. I AM MOVING TO FLORIDA

Where are natural born US citizens suppose to buy homes now? Each one of these people equals less housing and more expensive rent.
|

I've heard about Alberta being this way. Went to Edmonton once and saw a number of POC there. The jobs were well paying too. At a motel I went to I saw an indian at the front desk and was surprised. It is colder there too. One girl I met said discrimination in Edmonton was less, so go figure.

Now this is how you dismantle unions, flood the country with poor immigrants who will do the same jobs with less skill and for less pay! It's how Tyson got so big, remember their illegal employment news pieces.

I know American families with child waiting for housing for over 8 months...and I know of several newly arrived to the country less than 3 months already settled into an apt to themselves (single persons)...on government program paying their rent. Something isn't right...?

Bro at this point idc what happens. I’m legal, work 8hrs a day, 40hrs a week to the bone breaking my back doing construction, make 23.50/hr and can’t even buy a used car and get a studio apartment with no bedrooms. The worlds fckd regardless. WW3 is literally happening in Ukraine rn. I could care less.

I like the logic that the difference in average annual income is not a problem because Canada has less income inequality. Maybe the income inequality in the USA is totally due to the higher investment the USA makes per worker and the poor in the USA are as well off as the average Canadian.

flamethrowers, claymores, regular bullets we can and should stop this. there should be thousands of charred corpses on our border we don't owe these criminals anythimg much less entry into our country.

@BriarPatchson Fun fact you should have researched. The largest share of the housing stock in the United States as of 2021 was built between 1975 and 1979. There were 18.5 million homes built during this period, whereas the homes built between 2016 and 2019 were less than six million. Rough estimates 158 million Homes. Are there empty homes, apartments, sky risers,. Yes. You are fixing to find yourself in misery soon enough if this is allowed to continue. The money is not there for most Americans to foot the bill. It's pure insanity to think otherwise. The more you know the better prepared you will be.

America’s population climate condition established industry all are different then canada it should compare with Nordic nations or small European nation not with USA it’s all different it competes with giant economies CHINA JAPAN EUROPZONE INDIA RUSSIA ETC CANADA and AUSTRALIA always been developed for natural resources of the first world due to the size of land mass it’s hard to maintain such a large territory with less populations overall housing affordability with income growth healthcare sector improvement and 21st century digital economy revolution needed

Less inequality just means equally poor. Canada has a higher ratio of homelessness than the u.s…. It’s a 3rd world economy disguised as a first world. Much like Australia

You forgot 1 major point-\nAt least here in Canada, we don't have to live in fear of gun violence. We don't send our children only for them to be massacred in their schools. At least our politics doesn't revolve around Jesus, guns and abortion (though our politicians are also crap). At least we don't have to break bad to pay for even simple medical procedures. At least our cities aren't overrun by homeless while our rural areas are not overrun by hillybillies. \n\nWhile yes in general Americans are richer, the fact is that only the top 10 percent live better. Not the homeless piling up in the cities, not the 3rd world shanties in the Appalachians and south and certainly not the thousands living in the American jail system. It's crazy how bad a country can be despite being rich.\n\nI was born and raised in the US. I have lived in Canada and much poorer countries like Spain and Portugal. Let me tell you, Americans live the worst life out of all. In much poorer Spain, people still have universal education till university, good healthcare, good public transportation system and they don't have to eat the frozen crap most Americans eat. Spanish people eat fresh meat, fruits, cheese and vegetables and drink some of the best wine, despite earning much less than Americans and working astonishingly low hours. Moreover, their cities are livable, not like the concrete jungle of Texas. \n\nYes America is rich but DUDE, Its seriously third world, if you arent rich and successful.

Canada is becoming less attractive to immigrants like me. it has fewer work opportunities and less salaries, but the living cost especially the house prices, whether you purchase or rent, are quite unaffordable. BTY, the IRCC is so stupid and unreasonable indeed.

At least our banks in Australia don’t go broke like in US . Since the Covid lock downs a lot of people are homeless all around the world . I live in Sydney and I could not care less if we are isolated . We still can visit New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and South East Asia . I rather live in Australia than overseas because my relatives in the UK , and Cyprus didn’t care to spend time with me when I visited there . Their attitudes are not laid back . Anyway there are international students who find work here in Australia . We have heaps of lovely places in Australia to visit . There are amazing places in Western Australia and the rest of Australia to see . I agree Canada is amazing as I have been there but it doesn’t mean Australia is a dump like you are saying . I am sorry that you had a bad experience here but it doesn’t mean Australia is a horrible country to live in . There is beauty in our deserts thank you .

The politics of Canada are no longer 'tolerant and liberal'. We are losing our freedoms daily (refer Bill C-11). We are becoming stifled by censorship. We have a spiralling housing crisis. Known murderers are being freed after a few days on bail, leading to a far less safe social environment than we traditionally had. Our skyrocketing inflation and insanely high taxes are crushing our quality of life. The entire situation is deteriorating week to week since there is an active agenda to destroy our economy and society. I should also mention that our health care system is in a state of collapse.
|

Immigration levels are causing the housing market boom. Colleges are paying the government of the day to keep immigration laws lenient as this would encourage more international students. The result- the quality of people coming in this country has dramatically declined. The healthcare has been hit badly as the wait times can be months. Everyone wants to come to Ontario causing unemployment as immigrants work for less pay and ordinary Canadian can’t afford to work for that less. People keep on buying houses and renting it out and millennial can’t buy houses anymore. I don’t know how will canada feed all of us when AI takes our jobs. \nThe past 5-8 years of Trudeau has ruined my Canada.

I think this video is good overall, but downplays the potential severity of our housing crisis. It's not just a problem for renters. Rapid expansion in finance and real estate are only a good thing if they are backed up by real growth, otherwise it's just a bubble that puts the entire national economy at risk. In Canada, it's got many characteristics of a bubble that will crash during an interest rate rise or economic crisis.\n\nAlso income inequality is not the whole story. Wealth inequality has been rising rapidly in Canada and is made worse by rapidly rising rents and inflation. Owning a home outright or with a smaller mortgage means spending less of your income on housing in Canada's current system, so even at the same income level homeowners are dramatically better off than renters and renters have noticed. It's one thing to point at some graphs of the Gini index and say inequality isn't that bad, but that's not good enough when regular people see homeowners buying fancy cars and taking lavish vacations while renters scrape by.\n\nFurthermore, you pretty much ignored the demographic concerns in Canada. We have an aging population, which means we either need high immigration that worsens the housing crisis or higher taxes to pay for growing healthcare and pension costs. Neither option is good and both paths lead to increases political and economic instability. Demographics is one of the main reasons the OECD has a poor outlook on growth in the long term.

Canadian business culture and government regulation encourages mediocrity and conformity, and boat rocking of any form is viewed as almost heretical.\nYou are expected shut up, do the same thing you did yesterday, and pay 4 different layers of taxes. Nothing more, nothing less.

We have less people here in Canada than in California alone; the datasets are not effectively comparable if you hope to produce results relevant outside of national pissing contests

What's happened to canada is what is happening to all countries with woke leadership. We have made wedge issues a priority despite the fact they don't tangibly matter. Resources go into absolute nothing of value. We declared a climate emergency despite being less than 1% of global emissions. This has caused us to literally turn down lucrative LNG contracts that would have reduced the emissions of coal burning nations by 50%. It has made us insane. We sold all our gold and are printing money while expecting the entire middle class to bear the burden of this money printing. Billions have to Ukraine and nobody even knows why.

Dude, I have lived in both Australia and Canada for 4 years each. I've seen racism in both unfortunately, although not much. Now... I live in Switzerland and let me tell you these two countries have way way less racism than here and most of Europe. Sorry this won't help you much, but in many ways Canada and Australia are very similar.

Please make it clear. Many Thanks.

As a fellow Canadian and Vancouverite, I agree with mostly everything this guy stated in this video commentary.\nGenerally and historically speaking, European culture is superior to anything else, or anywhere else, on the planet.\nIt simply is what it is.\nEuropeans have had the benefit of the ancient Greeks, ancient Romans, and countless centuries of cultural development, cultural evolution, and cultural collaboration, all staged on a much smaller geographic landmass.\nIt was also Western Europe that gave rise to the Industrial Revolution and scientific discovery and innovation, along with the development and proliferation of secular beliefs and democratic societies.\nRegarding his comments on Canada and Vancouver, it must be emphasized that the vast majority of Canada's national population live very close to the US border, since most of Canada's massive landmass is more or less uninhabitable or inhospitable to most humans, and for most parts of the year.\nWhile that may perhaps be chalked up to simply bad geographic luck, Canada's deeply flawed political, constitutional, and economic systems, all actively contribute to the fermentation of a perpetually self-defeating cocktail of negative dynamics, with seriously pervasive effects.\nIn short, Canada is a practiced expert at shooting itself in the proverbial foot, whenever the opportunity arises.

You’re wrong about racism and trying to make birds from feathers. \n\nBlack, arab and asian are newer to canada and have less because they came with less. They are less established less educated by default so commit more crimes as a result. The bank management also follows the same path as my last point.

According to the IPSOS survey based in France, Canada is 2% less happier than the US, where 74% of the population says they are happy. It's not that much of a difference.

Thank you Suleeha...I am planning to come to Canada soon on a less than one year study permit. I intend to move my Family to Canada just after 3 month I enter Canada. What is the possibility of my wife and Children getting Visa within 4month of my being in Canada?

You can also move to Hereford, AZ. We have all four seasons; summer temperatures are in the low 90s—great places to hike Carr Canyon waterfall, Coronado trail, Ramsey Canyon, and Miller Peak. Lakes are nearby; you can buy a house with five beds for less than $3000 monthly.

Blacks are also predomently less educated but you are not mentioning this. WHY>? This is your answer. Education = higher pay. Asian people are generally more educated than whites and they generally make more money than whites, why are you not mentioning this? Banks hirer accoring to qualifications, sorry.

The difference is the quality of life in Canada is ranked by multiple organizations as significantly better than in the US. Better Education, Public Healthcare, and a strong economy mean less stress. Health Insurance in the US is hugely expensive. Incomes may be higher in the US, but so are things like the Health insurance, prescriptions etc. Canada has fewer bankruptcies if someone gets sick, and better social benefits for things like maternity leave... We don't have the huge population, but we also don't have many of the huge problems, like large racial conflicts, high crime rates, gun violence and economic discrepancies... And let's not even mention the vast political polarization in the US fed by disinformation and a free-for all social network where 'truth' long ago became not important, whereas winning is everything. Even if a former president needs to organize an attack on Congress... Overall Canada is a more desirable place to live.

Why invest in a business when a literal doofus can just buy home and land and make many of my relatives made fortunes from “land trade”. \nReal estate and all its related jobs (agents, construction workers) is where a lot of Canadians work.\nAnd cooling the real estate market will affect a ton of those workers. \nAlthough a lot of this actually ignores one of the biggest issues. Our geography.\nSo much of Canada is cold and just an overall annoying place to live in that it’s simply less attractive for anyone to want to set up anything here.\nIt’s big, but a lot of useless land.

the god awful real estate market has taken full effect on Canadians, it has displaced families, caused almost no one to have children, removed hope from younger generations and many many more challenges for business and residents. if some way it could be fixed then our country would prosper again, but its hard living here when household income is less than 100k on average yet the average home price in Ontario is 850k...

So spot on! House of Commons should watch this video 10 times and act! What's the point of being the most educated nation when you lose all your talent to US. Innovation should be highly encouraged by the government and any new tech/science companies that produce value should be paying way less tax to stay and continue generating value in Canada. Canada has great universities and losing all its talents to US, so not acceptable.

I pay 11.5% of my income directly to pensioners as a contract worker making less than 50K in 2023. At total tax rate of 26% all inclusive. I have to live at home, and I can't find a single job that isn't contract work, and I'm a designer who's worked with F500 companies. The best Canadian rate hourly is 30$, my American contracts have paid 135$ an hour. It's such a bad deal to be a Canadian millennial. Canada has two classes. The ruling pensioner elder class which makes up 60% of the country and everyone else that they've impoverished. Canada has poor pay, worsening living standards, extremely high white collar competition, few job prospects and a disintegrating social fabric. But somehow I think this is the story of the entire commonwealth right now. So that makes us no different, and I don't really believe the grass is greener among the G7 either.

whole country is screwed cuz they allowed foreign investors to buy everything up then hold our economy at gunpoint... it's essentially economic terrorism.\n\nlike. you know why canada produces less cars now? probably has something to do with all the american owned factories in canada just deciding they don't want to invest in canada anymore and closing their factories.

We in India tolerate these people because they belong in the same umbrella of dharmic religons. These Abrahamics couldn't care less about your faith. Settle down and follow their laws, just because we've bent our laws specifically for you, doesn't mean they should too.

Yeah, I've been talking to a Canadian over discord for almost 2 years now trying to learn more about the country and what he told me was shocking. Canadian make about 25% less and pay 33% more in taxes then American and somehow a house in the middle of goddamn nowhere cost as much as a house in Portland. If you live in NYC, SF, or LA yeah you can forget about buying a house but its not like in America housing is unaffordable everywhere like in Canada. In Texas, you can get a big beautiful house for 300k, the catch being that real estate taxes is really high and you still be paying that even after the mortgage been paid off. Florida is affordable but hurricanes, Cleveland is really cheap despite a good reputation, and a house in the rural areas is easily under 100k. Canada pretty much have no houses under 300k which is made worse by the fact that they make less, taxed more, investment is harder + more expensive, and it actually hard to establish credit because they don't have looser standard like in the US.
