And very beautiful and still cheap, it does not compare to Canada price-wise . :)\nAlso, Turkey is the big supporter of Palestine. :))) If I could speak the language or have a change to work for an automotive company in English, I'd probably just move there and be able to visit mom, extended family and friends in Europe a lot more often.

I am indonesian, but i’ve lived in Japan and the US for study purpose, and i relate to your experience. Eventhough i had a strong moslem community when i was in Japan/US, and halal food was accessible there, i was still feeling uncomfortable that as a moslem i couldn’t express my identity freely. Whenever i wanted to go for a roadtrip or place outside of my city, i need to search if halal food was available in there or not, while in Indonesia i don’t have to worry about halal food, almost all food are halal, the restaurant usually inform us if their are not halal. Another experience is that in non-moslem country, they didn’t provide many prayer rooms or mosques, that’s also sickening for me. I mean i don’t mind to pray in a random parking lot, or in a park, or in an emergency stairs, or in changing room in mall, or any random places; but i really missed my country where prayer room is available anywhere, you can find prayer room in gas station, in a restaurant, in the mall, in airport/bus station/train station, etc. Also mosques are everywhere too. You are easily going to find mosque after walking around 200m, well yeah there is a reason why Indonesia is a country with the most number of mosques in the world. Another thing is islamic class. When i was in Japan, i could only join an islamic class where people gather to listen from syeikh (or we call it as “pengajian”) once in every other months, in the US was better, mosque in mu place held islamic class every other day. However, in Indonesia, islamic classes are everywhere, it’s like every mosque held their own class, until to the point that i am confused what should i follow because there are so many options ?. The last is that, in moslem country or at least in my country, finding moslems outfit is very easy. So yeah, overall, i prefer to live in moslem countries. Alhamdulillah i was born in moslem country, and alhamdulillah my country’s situasion, eventho not perfect, is peacefull.

They also established Salah places in work and education and public buildings, and also the rights to practice your faith and take time for Salah in working hours.\n\nNow, my family are the fifth settled generation and alhamdolillah, we have many madrassas, islamic schools, and children becoming Hafiz. \n\nWe live in harmony with non Muslims and many are converting daily, the question is if there was no Muslims, how would the Deen be shown and expand in non Muslims countries. Even our Sahabahs went into the world to teach and expand our beautiful faith Islam.\n\nMany Islamic countries are only Islamic my name, they are the biggest contributers to the genocide, as they have not spoken up or helped their Muslim ummah in Palestine. You will also find many covert doctrines in their governments that you may not agree with.\n\nLastly, many Muslim children attend public schools and are being exposed to the LGBT community and we as Muslim parents are teaching them in our homes from a young age, that in islam there is only a man and a woman and no third gender and only a man can marry a woman.\n\nYou can have the best of intentions but you can wrap your children and one day they will be exposed to what is not Islamic, and they need to be taught how to deal with it and hopefully, by showing them their own Islamic values, hopefully also change people's perceptions as they come into Islam.\n\nMaybe, if you stayed in Canada, you could establish an islamic school for your children and other Muslim children to attend, look around where you live, see where you can establish prayer areas, talk to the mall managers and finance prayer rooms, talk to schools, public restaurants, and establish halal foods. Please look at what has been achieved in the UK and you are at the beginning of that in Canada, and think of the Islamic foundation you are setting the future generations of Muslims and also many more Muslims who may convert one day. insha'Allah

I can understand why people want to leave or not come to Canada, weather, cold weather can last up to six months and the summer isn’t always that great. Another reason, taxes…. Canadians are taxed to death here, you are taxed on everything here and if you make good money and aren’t paying enough taxes, you could pay a good chunk come tax time. Job market sucks, there are lots of jobs but these jobs don’t pay the greatest. Cost of living has skyrocketed over the years and in my personal opinion, since Justin Trudeau has been PM, everything has doubled in cost, so many people are struggling, many young couples can’t afford a house, rent has been on the rise over the years and so many people rely on the food banks, the highest it’s ever been in Canadian history, crime has gone up and drug use has also gone up and oddly enough, ever since Trudeau has been in charge and I’m sure some will disagree with this but Canada was never like this before Trudeau.

If only they elected a non-terrorist group that incites violence to run their land and could've avoided the whole thing...

I'm a native Canadian and I dislike our winters here in Southern Ontario. I thought that hibernation was normal, I thought that was the way of life all over the world. Only recently have I begun to realize that 'wow, the cost of living in Canada is getting so crazy high', that maybe there is somewhere else I could live to, a place where life would be better.

Main difference between Singapore and Canada is the latter has been trying to suppress wages of the working class effectively turning the working class into the working poor. \n\nThis, based on idiotic economic theories coming from central bank economists who think profiting private banks which produce nothing and creating a slave labor force in perpetual debt is good for the economy.\n\nIn Singapore, the govt has done the opposite. i.e. enabled purchasing power of the average citizen to rise along with standards of living. Its created the belief that hard work, innovation and enterprise on the part of the individual actually leads to personal success. \n\nThat dream has faded away in Canada and the young people see a bleak future. Its sad to even have to write this.\n\nWhen central bankers, govt..etc. step in to steal the productive output of the working class, it destroys Capitalism and suplants it with Crony Capitalism. FIRE (Financial, Insurance, Real Estate) speculation prospers while the working class producing real goods and services is financially destroyed.\n\nThe real estate prices are deliberately kept high by artificially restricting supply of housing through all kinds of bureaucratic means. Its main objective is to keep people in debt and working to pay off mortgage debt. A fall in housing prices would undo a lot of the leveraged bets that depend on housing prices staying high -- as happened in 2008 in the US. Main losers of that are banks.\n\nYou can then understand why Canada keeps pushing for more and more immigrants. All pyramid schemes (in this case a debt pyramid scheme) has to expand their base or collapse. It also serves the purpose of wage suppression of the working class so they remain in debt.\n\n\nI don't understand why you came from a prosperous country like Singapore to a lower standard of living in Canada. What did you hope to achieve here that you could not have achieved in Singapore.\n\nUnfortunately, people come to see Canada as a stepping stone to going some place else. \nBut in truth, I'm not sure whether other places are any better.\n\nOne great strength of Canada which Singapore does not have is the vast natural resource base of the country. \nIt remains the one shining star the country can fall back on despite incompetent economists and govt.

I formerly lived in greater GTA abd hadcto run away because I almost became homeless. I could not find a decent place to live in, affordability was a problem. So yes, there are cheaper places to live in Canada, but leaving family and friends is hard, but if you want a roof over your head that is the tough decision you have to make. I had two jobs and was still struggling.

Having done a similar voyage, my two-pence is that, resources permitting, at least until you have really properly tried the other country out for a period of time, I'd recommend retaining a base, even if a small one, in Canada, leaving your longer term stuff there rather than packing everything that you own and dragging across the world. In my experience, the most enhancing and liberating situation is one where you get to enjoy the privilege of being able mix the best of the two worlds. When abroad in the other Muslim country you will have great moments but - guaranteed - also a fair share of disappointments and negative experiences. Even if you think you have thought of everything, you don't know what you don't know, or how you may feel, or what and where is better, until you've spent a longer time over there. I could write a book by now but will just leave you with go, explore, see, try, but ideally have an easy way to come back to Canada to regroup (to potentially try again, better and differently with a bit more experience). American here -- I feel powerless in moving the needle in regards to Palestine. Do you have any meaningful resources or suggestions on what someone like I could do to help? I've written and spoken to my representatives, and my church has been raising money for aid donations even though, with Israel's blockade, it's been really hard to know if the help is getting through. \n\nI am so sorry, please know the vast majority of Americans aware of the situation condemn the genocide in Gaza. I would say try Turkey if you can purchase a house you could get your citizenship there and it is mostly a Muslim country. Something to think about it might be a place to look at . I’m from the US not a Muslim but have many Muslim friends who live in Turkey it safe and clean and I’m not sure of the education but safe is always a big one for me. Salam am a Muslim 16 year old and I lived in Saudi ever since I was one but moved to Australia at 11 because of how expensive the residence card was my dad lived there for over 20 years and mum for around 11 and we viewed it as a truly amazing country its very safe and people are very helpful and kind everything id also islamiclly led when you're walking in the streets you can litterly feel the islamic spirit am talking about 4/5 years ago I dont know about now but it was the best we used to go madina every eid mecca was close so we went when we could went roude trips around Jeddah and jizan its the best think about it your kids growing up in a society where there is no alchahol, lgbtq,dr**s and islamaphobs its a qiute exspensive place but its truly amazing. I was born here. I'm not of a particular religion. Rather I choose to accept everyone's right to believe what they want. I too see the deterioration of this country and I especially don't want to be under a government such as ours. I would very much like to learn more about the Muslim faith in English if possible.
