The Arab world are using the Palestinian people as martyrs. They won't take them in as refugees because they don't want to deal with the economic and social outcomes that EU and US have with asylum seekers. But they also don't won't to help them fight either. They will sit there and watch Palestinians boil in a pot. Then blame Israel when they are done, and do nothing to help. Some pals. Even Iran with the most to gain will do nothing, because they don't care about Palestinians just regional power.

Good point by him but doesn't change the fact that the Arab world won't take these people in.

As the son of Palestinians, just as the Jewish people have a “birthright” to return to Israel. The Palestinians living in Palestine have a right to their homes and land. My parents left willingly to give me a safer life and I love them for that but those who cannot do so should not be demonized for refusing to leave their homes and effectively make themselves stateless and homeless. It’s not up to Arab nations alone to take refugees. It’s up to the entire civilized world to stop the killing through sanctions and humanitarian aid. Killing of civilians on both sides is senseless and goes against god, no matter the religion. Palestinians do not want to leave, they want to live in peace.

It’s amazing that people come from another place into Palestine. Want to kick them out of their own line and get mad because the rest of the Arab world said that they’re not gonna work without agenda is crazy

People are using credit to be able to eat food. Housing is unaffordable even with a higher than average salary. You don't even see this in some third world countries...

I find it so amusing that Canadians always have to preface everything with self righteous boasting about how multicultural they are, how their city has a world class this and that—in this case—film festival etc. etc. I have never been anywhere in Europe for example where first anyone even mentions Canada much except to say that there are a lot of trees. And no one in real cities with a culture like Paris, Madrid, Berlin harp on how world class they are or how multicultural they are. Also, in terms of immigration, give me a break—you have obviously not travelled anywhere—go to Berlin, Paris, New York etc. to see people from all over the world. Canadians have been told through the internal propaganda that Canada is the best country in the world—but it’s not.

If Hamas really cares about its people then they would stop taking the foreign aid and hoarding the supplies for themselves. \n\nHamas hates Jews more than they love their own people. And the whole Arab world is inline with Hamas. \n\nThe only way anything changes in the Middle East is if the rest of the Arab world condemns this hatred of Jews and allows for the Palestinians to have a government that cares about them rather than cares about the destruction of Israel.

Live in a small town on the edge of town between Toronto. and. How can one disagree. People of the land deserve respect and peace. If there is a problem and peace is not to be achieved by two parties there should be a court of appeal in which a resolution should be arrived at and guaranteed by the world.

It’s Saudi Arabia…arguably the United States biggest ally in the Middle East other then the state that is forcing the Palestinians off their land has been doing so since the post WWII Era. The US is a power that has and continues to support Israel and Israel is forcing the Palestinians off their land so if the Saudis are not gonna support a country or work with a country that supports the removal of Palestinians then they need to stop taking American money and stop being the US biggest ally, also idk why you all praise him, talk is cheap and the Arab world hasn’t done much about israel continuing to eat away at the Palestinian state, if SA truly believes that Palestine isn’t going to be forced off the world map then SA should start supporting Palestine, he didn’t even agree to let in refugees..not sure where all the praise is coming from he talks like a politician, he avoided the actual question and says what the people wanna hear despite not making efforts to make that happen.

The Arab world understands what is going on. Israel thinks it will terrorize the Palestinians out of their own land. Im lucky to be a home owner from 2011 and have a good job but I cannot accept the horrendous, corrupt and incompetent healthcare system we have..i know so many people who are basically going to die because of the horrible doctors, delays incompetence lack of resources etc etc etc....worst gov run healthcare system in the world... pure evil!! Palestinians are seeking refuge status from their war torn country to remove terrorists Hamas from their country. Isreal removed themselves from Gaza so the Palestinians can have their own territory. But was forced to accept Hamas as the government controlling Gaza. Palestinians have not been able to live in peace under Hamas control. Who can point the blame for the Isreal invasion. I came here 20 years ago from south asia. got my master's degree from Mcgill, started a business with my husband. We are doing well, working hard and having a good life in general. We did tighten our budget, planned our finances to a T. We live in Toronto, contrary to most, people are super friendly and social. Agreed, immigration needs to slow down to a bare minimum and prices needs to be adjusted, but please step out and touch grass. There is no war going on, canadian cities are still one of the best to live in the world. We frequently host get togethers with our neighbours, who are old stock canadians and new canadians alike. We support each other. We have a great community. Step outside talk to your neighbour.

Rent hike are caused by property loan repayments which caused by the interest rate. As someone in his late twenties living in Quebec, I got to say this is very accurate. I won't say things are as bad as some other people are saying in the comments, but I do feel like the country is going downhill. For me, these are the main three things that feels wrong:\n\n1. We, as citizen, tend to offload every responsibility to the governments. Each election, they promise to handle more, but fail times and times again to deliver on their existing responsibilities. But we still vote for them, because we fear personal responsibilities. They created these immovable bureaucratic monsters and they lost control. They promise new shiny things instead of fixing what is already in place.\n2. We lost all notion of what is necessary. People gets more and more entitled which leads to overconsumption and frustation. Quebecers used to be proud peoples who survived with the little they had. Now greed has consumed our identity and nothing is holder us together.\n3. I feel that jobs are less and less useful to the society. Even I, as an electronic/software engineer, wonder if my job as meaning. I feel we lost touch with the concrete world. Some people have 0 contribution to anything useful and have really good salary and work conditions, while others bust their ass in shitty conditions. I feel like everything that we need is produced/done by a frighteningly small amount of individuals.\n\nBut from what I heard Canada isn't the only country to feel these.
